t-mobile WM6 - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi, i'm new to this forum.
I'm having trouble updating my vario 2 to wm6. I would like the official version from t-mobile uk but when I'm taken to the htc website (http://member.htc.com/member/ProductRegistration.aspx) and try to register my mda i get this message:
Unable to register your serial number. The serial number you entered is not for an HTC branded product.
Register your product today to get free updates, applications and drivers.
You can only register HTC-branded devices (e.g. HTC Touch or HTC S620 ) here. If you purchased your device (e.g. T-Mobile Dash or Orange SPV E650) from a mobile operator, please check with your mobile operator if they have their own product registration service.
have they removed the update???
Does any body have the t-mobile installer that they could send to me or could u show me a link to get it from plz? I would really apreciate it.
thanks
Sean

Hi,
I'm new here too. I upgraded to WM6 a few days ago and I love it. I didn't register but I didn't know you had to.
Anyway here is the copy I used and it worked great:

Hey Seanie you have to go through T-mobile UK website to get the rom update. Not through the HTC website.

thx gareth824 it works great.

Hermes phone app and *123# operator strings

I'm in trouble with my Hermes (HTC TyTN, unbranded, Italian ROM) as the phone application seems not supporting the operator codes like *123# or similar.
My operator uses some of these interrogation codes to reply useful info like amount of monthly available minutes or megabytes... All the previous HTC phone app is supporting these, it seems very strange... Any idea about how sending these codes to the network on the Hermes?
i have the same problem, but i cant get the UK ones
WTF!?!
I will urgently need those codes to switch priority between my 3 O2 Multicards.
my operator (Cingular) uses these codes (like *646# to check minutes used/remaining) and they work fine on my TyTN
it works fine using the xda trion sold by o2 germany. i can even use the gsm codes needed for the wind prepaid card (for checking accounts balance).
This was somthing I didn't test when I upgraded my ROM from the German one to the Dopod english version. Anyway I gave it a try and I dont have any problems with my Trion. And I have updated my device with the Dopod ROM. All multicard functions with o2 work fine. The only thing that could be different with my device was that I did run some of the o2 German extended rom installations onto my device.
All network codes work fine with my German HTC TyTN. Just tested it with my new multicard USIMs.
Just solved - changing my old 32K SIM (Wind Italy) with a new SIM, all network codes are now working perfectly on my TyTn...

"blackberry connect 4 download"
Here's my previous post with details....
I've had a few different HTC models ranging from the Wizard to the Hermes and I'm now the proud owner of a Touch Dual - its the original HTC Decice with the standard HTC Rom and Radio.
I've had it for 2 weeks now and I'm more than happy but spent most of last weekend getting my Blackberry Service set up after archiving my Hermes. It took me an age as there was no advice on which version of the Blackberry Connect Software would work as all the ones I had would not connect.
I finally came across RIMs latest offering and at last - all working with no issues!
The version you need is: bbconnect_wm6_pro_4[1].0.0.90
Tried to attach the CAB file directly but no joy??? For those that need it you can download directly from:
http://sems.org/content/download/bbc...B_4.0.0.91.exe
You'll of course need the blackberry service enabled on your Sim and configure using the desktop manager when connected to your corporate network.
Hope this little snippet helps and that I haven't repeated information available for the Vogue already available?
htc pro
hey i have the htc pro with 6.1 will Blackberry Connect 4 work on the device. will it leave my WM6.1 os on the device.

HTC MyConnect

Hi there,
I wonder if someone has this application which it is offered by HTC in Asia. I registered an account in HTC (Taiwan Site). However, when I entered my ATT Tilt's SN, it said the SN is incorrect. I believe they check their local database to see if my "HTC" unit was originally purchased / sold in Taiwan.
Anyway, I would be very glad to get a hand on this free program.
Thanks.
Do you know what it is???? I know they had a Dopod (HTC) update that had MYConnect. The HTC MyConnect for the Dopod is for internet access @ 40.00 avg. per month. Is this what you're asking about?
The MyConnect seems allowing user to connect to various web sites (or they have already built-in some stuff). May be like a portal?

HTC Niki Original Roms & Debranding

Hey guys i need some help,
I'm looking for the latest original roms for my HTC Niki P500 (Touch Dual) on the UK Orange network.
Does anyone know where i can get the latest original debranded roms.
Also where can i get an unlocking code for the HTC Niki.
thanks in advance
Hi there, I used OliPro's Nike Unlocker (which I googled) to unlock my HTC Touch Dual on Orange UK. It cost £5.40 but is well worth it IMO. I now have an O2 sim card in it.
What network do you want to use on the phone? You'll have to let me know how the signal is when using a SIM from a new network.
How did unlocking it go?
Unfortunalty i didn't get it unlocked, but i'm still trying to find official Roms for the device to either debrand or upgrade to WinMo 6.1.
Tried contacting HTC and got no information what so ever and Orange customer services guided me through the process of finding the relevent Orange webpage but the Handset isn't listed.
so i'm back to square one!!
thanx anyway
Hi there Robbiejuk08
I am new to this forum and have never seen a forum like this before for people asking questions and not getting any reply. Anyway as far as I know you need to get phone unlocked first. Then you will need a serial number from a generic htc. In other words one that has came from htc and not orange or any other operators. Then you go to the htc site and you will be able to upgrade phone with the generic serial number. But as I have found out it is impossiable to get generic serial number in the forums as people just are not prepared to give you their serial number.
Hahaha, I pushed the thank you button for you,
First of all, welcome,
It's great that you are willing to help people, that is the spirit, but unfortunaly this post was more then two years old
But you did it with the right intention so thumbs up.
Have fun,

[Q] HTC WinMobile 6.1 can't connect to o2 GPRS WAP

Hi, I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 with WinMobile 6.1 on it.
First, I wanted to upgrade to WinMobile 6.5 but couldn't find the upgrade file on the HTC website, so I gave up - could anybody help me with that?
Second, I came to the UK a month ago to study and got an o2 pay&go text&web SIM. I received the settings from o2, they installed themselves automatically but the HTC after dialing wap.o2.co.uk can't connect. I brought it to an o2 shop but they were no help and told me to post my problem in here. I think I have all the needed data(ports, user names, passwords, proxy IP etc)
