I'm not sure, but I hope this is the place to ask questions about the HTC Touch P3452 (aka "The upgraded Touch") !?
I just swapped my Touch P3450 to the P3452 with the new keypads, I'm not interested in using these, but I love the extra RAM and higher speed this gives.
My problem is, when I make a new SMS/e-mail and start typing a name in the To: field at the top, the Touch does not suggest any recipients !? This happens when I'm using the old and known keypad, but with the new keypads it suggests a single recipient...
I use a danish version and I've already tried another new P3452 to see if the first had an error, but no luck....
Maybe something just needs to be changed in the reg. database, but I need help !?

I tried a few minutes ago to write an sms with the letter recognition fonction. I use to write all my sms with that with my Qtek S100 (I mate jam) and my HTC TRINITY. It use to work very well. I was able to write very fast.
However it completly unusable with the HTC TOUCH (ELf) and the DUAL (Niki). Even with the new Roms with drivers problems solved I can't manage to write well. It misses letters, do points instead of spaces.....
I fear to face that problem if I get a Diamond?

I know how to search, so no need to tell me that.

I also know I can try CE-Star but that has issues. For example, when I add an exclamation mark, it is position at the beginning of the sentence.
So my question is - have any Touch HD users, who need Japanese display and input, found a better way than Asukal's or CE Star?

Considering an HTC Touch that comes free with a T-Mobile (UK) Contract.
Problem is I really like taking notes with the Transcriber/Handwriting Recognition input function but can't seem to find it on any UK demo phone (including unlocked friom Carphone Warehouse).
This must exist in the Winmobile 6.5 Rom somewhere.
Can it be enabled ? Anybody any wiser ?
Can anyone please help asap ?

For Transcriber u need to install xtra app.

u can enable transcriber by goin into d windows file..and scroll upon the "t" letter files, find trancriber..and There you are..transcriber gets activated..in HTC touch2
Another way how you can enable transcriber for example are the sktools. With this porgram is it very easy. Normally you can do this with the demo version if you do not want to buy it.

Hi - thanks, this works for me, and I am amazed by the quality of handwriting recognition in WORD. On the other hand it is useless for names and numbers in Outlook!
I dropped my Blackstone and it broke. The repairing costed more than buying an used one therefore I bought one from a local ebay like site. The case is brand new, the counter is set to zere incoming and zero outgoing. All the functions work corectly excepting the fact that when i connect it to sync my items Windows Mobile Device Center detects it as being HTC Touch Pro 2 T7373. But the picture displayed is a Blackstone picture. I am puzzeld. What could be the reason for this?
Have you checked the owner's name section ? Maybe the device's owner name is HTC Touch Pro 2 T7373. And i really can't guess, what picture are you talking about ?

Yeah, now i understand. I use Microsoft ActiveSync for my phone, that's why i was puzzled about the pic Seems strange, the bold writing says Blackstone, which is the name of HTC Touch HD, the lower font says Touch Pro instead of Touch HD T_8282. Does it have the original wm 6.1 rom or is it running a cooked rom ?
