Hi everybody !
i started my qtek s200 with the sim card of a friend (on the same gsm network) and it said that the sim card is invalid.
The sim card work in an other mobile phone.
The s200 has just been "hard reset" last week.
I'd flash the rom in September, can it come from this ?
Do I need to flash the phone again ?
Thank's !!

Hi all!
I have a curios problem. I am from Slovakia and I use SIM cards from both operators here (Tmobile and Orange).
In my Wallaby a used to have Win2002 and unknown RSU (i upgraded it but forgot version ) now i have Win 2003 (4.01.00) and RSU 6.24
but: on WIN 2002 (3.14) both my SIM cards work with GPRS and INTERNET
on WIN 2003 only Tmobile SIM card works..
Orange sim card show signal strength but i cant make a call on it and from it.. I also try to flash back my Win2002 ROM but it wont works
Now i am confused and dont know what to do..
So I have some questions to answer.. If U could help please respond:
1. My SIM card from Tmobile is new (probably 64type) and Orange one is 5years old (i think 16type). My question is: Does the RSU 6.24 support that type of cards? (my signal strength is full but i cant make a call or connect gprs)
2. Its possible that phone is after flash of RSU locked to my Tmobile SIM card?
3. What RSUs are compatible with my Wallaby? (PW10B type) Please dont tell me 6.24 or 6.25 I need older one..
4. What problems are in ROM 2003SE?
Your phone will remain unlocked after rom upgrade. You can flash back to 2002 using the sd card method.

Yes I know that.. I downgrade my RSU to version 6.18 but my SIM card (Orange one) still dont work so I try to downgrade to WIN2002.. It works perfect at this version of Windows.. But I want newer windows so I probably will go to Orange and pay some money to change my SIM card to 64kB type..
So problems with making call is result of OLD SIM CARD (16kB or 32kB)..
Now I love my Wallaby again.. 8)
thanx all for reading that (I see that many people readed this topic)
Thanx guys!
P.S.: Sorry for my english
Hi all,
I'm seeing this strange thing. I have received a Qtek 2020, and I tried to use it with my sim (TIM, Italian Telecom) but I can't see network service, under any circumnstance. Then I swapped my sim card with a Vodafone IT one, and I've seen full signal immediately. Trying to change to another operator like Italian "Wind", took me just as the very 1st step: no signal at all. I tried to change radio rom/os rom, and running unlock tools (they said it's all unlocked). Nothing changed.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks in advance!

Try updating it to the latest version seeupgrading part
Hi, thanks for the reply (i was away for holidays )
I've tried *all* of the Radio ROMs for the device (found on buzz's site). Also for the OS rom and extended, when in 2003. Just don't know what else to do!
some older sims are incompatible
some people have reported success with
getting their operator sending them a newer
sim
Already tried!
It seems that works with the old ones as well as with the new ones (my sister has a 6-years-old card from Vodafone, and it WORKS!), but just from that vendor.
I'll just drop it in a trash can!
Hi to all,
I have recently purchase a brand new diamond with my operator (SFR in France) and received a brand new sim card. Activate that sim ( and of course the previous one - older than 1 year- is not working anymore).
I inserted the new sim in my diamond and everything is working like a charm.
I wanted to test some roms on my old QTEK S200. So I insert new sim in and the QTEK did not see my sim., saying that sim is missing.
Though it was rom issue, so I flashed another rom but same message.
Insert old sim and get the sim detected.
Obviously it looks like an issue with new sim cards.
Did any of you have encounter the same issue ?
Cause actually I have a pretty new QTEK which is useless !!!!!!!!
Please help
To all,
It seems that this us due to the rom you use.
I installed another rom and then the sim is now available.
But have lost the wifi function !!!!!!

I had exactly the same problem. I flashed the ROM to WM6.1 (can be found on this XDA site) and the problem was solved.
iPaq 614c OS upgrade... truely?
Hi freakadelic, hi Stabilo1980,
I'm afraid I'm having the same problem (or a very similar one).

Do you mean that the iPaq 614c may be OS upgraded?
Exactly where in this site could I find the relevant instructions?
Regards
Unai.
Oops... I found this by myself

I upgraded my ROM firmware (SP40100) but things have not improved.
I wonder if SP40215 can be helpful... unluckily, would not install in my SKU.

Hello;
I just got an HTC hermes today; the only problem is it is sold by Orange telecom so it is blocked and I cant use my sim card of SFR (France).
And it is with WM5.
Please help me to get a WM6.x (english) ROM for this mobile and please help me; how to deblock this phone??
Thank you very very much: badly waiting for answer.
FAISAL
First off, you need to SIM unlock to the device so you can use it on your carrier. Then go read the wiki (or stickies) and find out how to hardspl the device to put WM6.x ROMs on it.
