How to disable JAVASCRIPT from PocketIE? - Mogul, XV6800 General

Hi guys, haven't been here for awhile ever since i sold my last WM device. Is there a way to edit the registry (or a program) to disable pocket IE's javascript? It takes forever to load a page if iit really isn't necessary. Thanks in advance.

Bluetooth.exe

Hi,
Am running a T-Mobile Compact 2 with WM5 and Spb Pocket Plus installed.
I would like to have a desktop icon that links direct with bluetooth on the device. I have been advised to find a bluetooth.exe file and create a shortcut. I have looked and cannot find the file or anything that looks like it. Does anyone have any idea where I should look and what the file will look like.
Yes I have toggled file explorer to show all files and yes I have searched dilligently through the whole damn list looking for a bluetooth icon. I have also used windows explorer, when synced, but with no success.

I believe you're posting in the wrong forum.

yep.... wrong forum!!!
Please forgive my ignorance, would you tell me which forum I should post my query on?
I must be honest I assumed that a forum about my device would be the right place to post.
Will
actually since there is no dedicated Charmer forum, the majority post in the Magician forum
there is a program to add a bluetooth icon to the system tray, clicking it takes you straight to bluetooth settings but i cant bloody find it again! sure its on modaco somewhere!!! will have another look when ive got time for you
Dave,
Thanks for your post. I know Modaco. I'll start searching. If I find the program i'll put a link here.
I've used this Forum a few times now and responses have been minimal so it's a real pleasure to get some help. I also didn't know my device is a Charmer not a Magician, thanks again. (My girlfriend thinks it's apt).
Will.
Here are three different ways of adding a bluetooth / wireless toggle to your today screen.
The first is a link to a registry hack
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=248198&hl=
The second is a CAB file smartphones
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=247482&hl=
and the third is a CAB file for PPC's (it worked on my Charmer / T-Mobile compact 2)

Hope these work for people.

Also WM2005 question

Any way to disable the systray in WM2005. I really have no use for it and it just takes up valuable screen space where my SBSH products would look a lot better.
Also is their a way to changed the options for the Soft Buttons (i.e. currently calander/contacts)????
Any help would be appreciated
Sorry guys, just got a WM2005 device, hence all the stupid questions.

Softkeyboard automatically opens

Greetings all
1st off, just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. This is a tremendous resource for all things PPC.
Is there a way to disable the softkeyboard from automatically opening up but leaving the icon there so I can activate it manually?
I did a few searches here regarding this and didn't see anything pertinent so I'll apologize in advance if I missed it.
Bump......
anyone?
I think it is possible to install a fake soft keyboard that does nothing. I have not used one but seen one on the net. Maybe proposed by Phm.
I have found it. Check the last item on this page:

Not a bad band-aid fix but it requires a few more screen taps to pick the correct keyboard when I do need it - but thanks for the reply
I'll keep looking...

NOO Bee FAQ

Maybe I missed it, but here is a chance for all you old timers to show off your knowledge.
My Sprint Touch will be here later this week (Customer Retention...$249)
I've hacked my old Palm Treo, but this is my first HTC Windows setup.
First... which "upgrades" are the Must Haves, which ones are the good to have, and which should I stay away from?
Where do I find them (and the cabs)?
What program do I use to edit the Windows Registery? Can it be done from the Mac?
Any how to's laying around that us newbies should be reading before doing anything?
Basically, who wants to be a mentor to us new guys?
Any questions I missed but should have asked?
Well, can't really be a mentor but I can assure you that most of your answers can be found by utilizing the search option.

Must have upgrades new keyboard (Touchpal [free]), internet browser (Opera Mini [free]), reg editor (PHM [free]), new file exploere (Resco), HTC Home Customizer [free], Cube Config Tool [free], there are more but this is a good start. Many of them can be found here or at ppcgeeks.com.
PHM is a reg editor and is used from you phone. Don't have a make so don't know of one that is used on the mac to access the registry files on your phone. However many people use Total Commander for that on Windows PC's. No how to's lying around but I'll be happy to help answer questions as well as other members on this forum. Good luck!
Thanks
As the saying goes, the wise man is the one who answers a question with "I don't know, but I'll find out!"
So I don't know the right questions (or as the one responder said, search keywords) to ask the intelligent questions yet.
So, re do the keyboard, customise the cube, change the browser (didn't I hear there was a new one besides opera out?) And I can do the Reg edting from the phone itself, thus I"m on a Mac isn't a problem.
That's a very good start, thanks.
Also Total Commander is a great freeware replacement for Resco Explorer.
Also update Microsoft Live Search and/or get google maps.
TCPMP / Flash Bundle is a must for video apps (also freeware) and I like S2U2
Oh and yes you can change the registry from the phone.

no one can help me
I think that this forum is only for "friends" who made here an private company. There is no space for newer user !!!
there's ever space for new users, but have you ever tried to use google or look at the place where settings are stored, i.e. registry? simply set a own background image and then search for this value and you should find the key HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Today/Wall
Find this key need less than 5 minutes...
just my 2 cents
greetings from germany

Concerning you answer, I would like to inform you that not only this key doesn'r exists in registry, but also I was asking about "TF3D" version...
