How to transfer all data from my nokia phone to Hermes TyTN - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hello,
I just bought a Hermes TyTN and I looked all over this forum for all-in-one solution how to transfer data form my NOKIA N80 phone to Hermes... I need to transfer messages, contacts, notes and calendar... I will transfer music and images manually.
What should I do? What program to use?
Thanks in advance

I think by BT (contacts hermes to sony P990i)

I synced my NOKIA 9500 with Microsoft Outlook (Nokia Phone Software)... and then synced (Active Sync) my HTC Hermes with Microsoft Outlook ... contacts, notes and calendar all sync without any problems was a piece of cake...
Messages - Do you mean email or SMS ? If email, then you need to sync your Outlook account with your main mail box first and then sync the HTC Hermes.

For contacts, calendar, notes u can synchronize it with outlook messages not possible only e-mails

Not all calendar entries are synchronized

Hi,
I use Lotus Notes at work and synchronize my SPV 200 phone using Mnotes and activesync. I used to sync everything to my laptop at home, so all my information ended up in Outlook 2003.
Now I want to sync my home laptop (Outlook 2003) to my new MDA Pro. It syncs all tasks, contacts and e-mail correctly. But it doesn't sync the calendar items which are originally are created in Lotus Notes. The one which are created in Outlook 2003 or in my SPV 200 sync fine. These calendar items do appear in Outlook 2003. I can't see anything strange with these entries (i exported them to MS Excel). After exporting and re-importing from the MS Excel file they did appear in my MDA Pro. But this is very cumbersome.
Anyone familiar with this problem?
Btw, any news yet from Commontime about Mnotes and WM5?

How to transfer Windows Contacts to Wizard?

Hello, I am using Vista Windows Mail and I have imported all my contacts to it´s address book (Windows Contacts). The problem now is how to send those contacts to the Wizard. When I syncronize it doesn´t send any of the Windows Mail / Windows COntacts to the device! help please
Install Outlook, then ActiveSync/WMDC can sync your contacts to Wizard.
Man I have never seen a worst program than Outlook! I can´t understand how it handles data...

Transfer contacts from W960i to X1

Which is the best way to do this? I have tried by just using sim card but contacts are all over the place!
Please help
Hi,
The way I did it was to use the Sony Ericsson suite to sync your contacts with your mail application (outlook). Then setup active sync on that mail profile to sync them down to your X1
Activesync will only ever look at your "contacts" folder whereas the SE Suite you could pick your contacts folder. so be sure you sync it to your default contacts folder.
If you already have contacts in their you dont want on your phone (like me!) - I created a new outlook profile and performed the sync from there.
Regards,
Craig
Thanks Craig, so start by connecting W960 to PC then how do I save to Outlook?

Merging Contacts from SIM to Phone

Hey guys,
Right now I have all my phone numbers saved in SIM card and each type of number (e.g. mobile or home) is separated for each person. Is there a way for me to transfer these numbers to phone and automatically join back under the same person? (i.e. Both mobile and home numbers under one contact instead of split into two)? Thanks!
sync with outlook, copy and paste then re-sync to the phone memory.
Perhaps you could dump the data into excel... but I'm not too sure. I have synchronised with outlook since my w800i (4 phones ago) and all of my contacts have remained merged.
What phone are you bringing your contacts across from?
Are they grouped on that phone? If they are then sync those contacts with outlook first, then sync your x1
nice i used w800i too!
Can you elaborate on the procedure please? --> "sync with outlook, copy and paste then re-sync to the phone memory."
Thanks!
What phone were you using prior to the X1?
Were the contacts merged on that phone?
Do you still have it?
Do you have outlook (set up) on your computer?
Each phone uses different software to synchronise with your pc (outlook contacts, calander info, files etc.). The xperia has software on the cd that would have come with the phone.
If you have the contacts already set up on your old phone how you would like them, then download the software for that phone (see manufacturer's website).
Sync that phone with outlook so that outlook has the contacts displayed how you want.
---------Now for the X1--------
If you are using Vista, install Windows Mobile Device Center, if you have XP install active sync 4.5.
Check out microsofts help file for syncing here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/default.mspx
Go through the help pages and you will find heaps more useful stuff.
Alternatively, outlook can export to and import from excel, so depending on your excel skills, you might be able to merge your contacts this way.
I sync my x1 with my work and home pc's daily so that all 3 devices are up to date.

Not active sync.. you would need the sony ericsson pc suite for the w800 or w810i (I had both... then a blackberry.. long story)... anyway, you can get the pc suite for the w800 here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/103/286/1192973163/Sony Ericsson PC Suite 2.10.46.exe
It's ~44mb.
This will allow you to get your contacts off your w800, then you need Active Sync to get the contacts from outlook onto your x1.

have a look here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/p990i?lc=en&cc=gb
If you are using outlook on windows then download P990 PC Suite http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/510/491/1220619835/PC Suite for Sony Ericsson 1.5.26.exe
~68mb
Thank you buzz83.. I did it with no problems..

[Q] How to export outlook contacts to HTC WITHOUT activesync

Hello,
I'm using my windows mobile devices center on my computer at work to synchronize my emails and calendar with my htc touch hd.
However, I would like to synchronize my contacts with my personal computer. My contacts are stored in outlook 2010. It's hard to believe such a common task cannot be achieved using activesync/wmdc... and I cannot find another tool !
That's why I'm asking for some help here .
Thanks in advance,
Sébastien.
Hello!
for these tasks I use PPCPimBackup.
It's a small programm for WM and is saves your contacts, messages, call logs, appointments etc. File with that data you can save on a Storage and Backup anytime.
