I use Touch Settings for build my cube, but I have trouble
with building the animation with my touch cruise.
I have found a solution, it's only a problem with CAPS in windows name.

Well you don't need that stuff..
If you replace all the cube skin files, all .brn files(A0 / QD_Bkgd) and the png files (With AL_ in front of file name AL_01 / AL_Bkgd) then ur almost done..
Now if you open the cube u will see that Apps side is normal.. To fix this issue:
Remove the data (replace with a space if you cant..) @ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\APLauncher at the key Background.
I'm using right now the Green skin of c0d4 with Lexi's Medium Dutch rom, and its working great. No need of Touchsettings..
It's a nice maded program but it's better for Cruise user that they don't use it right now.

If you have an to big font @ Mediahub then change the value of > APNameFontSize at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\MediaHubMini to your own value (i have chosen for 20*Decimal*)
Yes of course if you use a skin, build by someone, only replace the .brn files
works well.
But a build your own files, you could build you brn files from bmp but
touch settings is use to build your own animation of the cube !
This thread is to share your 15 tab icon sets. I didnt create any of the icons, I just sized them and put them together in the manilla files (see my screenshot below). If you like them just run the cab on you HD.

Added a game systems icon set. These are icons of game consoles (NES, Dreamcast, Xbox, PS3 etc.) I will add a screenshot later. THey dont match up with anything specific to your phone function lol, just cool icons.

Slightly off topic could you tell me if you managed to modify your additional tabs to be duplicates of the "Program" tab?
I've not installed them yet as I'm trying to ascertain whether it is possible. What would be ideal (for me) is to have 3 or 4 additional "Program" tabs that could be renamed so that I could add my applications / settings / tools etc. (i.e something approaching the menu panel/s in sbp mobile shell).
Judging by your icons I think not, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

no sir, sure havent because i have absolutely no idea where to start If i were to try it I would simply copy the program tab and rename it to one of the other tabs but I dont know that it is that simple nor do I know if each tab is actually just 1 file. You should start a new thread dediacted to just that topic and have some folks brainstorm it. I will join in the fun

download total commander and copy them from your phone. dont use your pc to copy them to the /windows folder, use your phone to copy them

Here's me, struggling to find some pretty icons, AND work out which manila file is which, AND get my head round manila editor (ok, fair play, that wan't tooo difficult ).
And while I'm doing that, here you are not only posting up set number 2, but mucking round with the backgrounds aswell
Talk about moving the goalposts!

LMAO, thank you I find it strangely addictive. I hope the work I have done is helping you. Simply unzip the files I have posted and you an "open path" with manil editor and see all the files and what they match up too in the TF3D interface. Get a good handle on it because I want to install some of your creations as we My goal is to completely overhaul all the graphics. Just takes lots of testing changes of manila files. Not hard, just time consuming

What res are you saving them as before converting to manilas?
I went with creating a 128x128 pixel .png file
Dumped in the icon to pretty much fill it - which looks good at 1:1 view in paint shop pro, and saved that as the big version.
Then resized to 50%, pasted that into a new 128x128 .png, and saved that as the small version.
But when I convert to manila, then drag to my HD and restart TF3D, the icon in the tabflo looks good, the bigger verson (when you drag over it) just looks 'ok', and the biggest version (middle of the main screen) looks frankly pretty poor

I am using 128x128 exclusively. Some pics I get are not sized that way so I just change them in photoshop to 128x128. I also use PS to make transparency. Post a few screeners showing what you mean becuse im a little slow and having a hard time following what you are describing

My last step was to set the transparency, and the option I was using to go down to 256 colours was resulting in some jagged edges (couldn't see them in PS).
Working better now - will plow on now I know where I was going wrong LOL

haha i know your pain. No i cant actually because i gave up tryign to figure it out when i finally just updated 4 manila files and of those 4 the icon was changed. i didnt feel like doing the research of replacing them again to figure out which actually did it. I resolved myself to just changing 4 files when i want to update the stock icon I know, im a slack ass but that is just how I roll

Thought I had it - but I don't.
small icons are 64x64, not 128x128.
And I thought I'd sussed which one was used in the main screen...
And my stock one was right up to the edge...
resized everything, dumped it all back in.
And now it looks worse - the background icons (small ones I think) are resized to bigger than my big ones.
and the stock STILL doesn't work right.
and it's midnight.
So I'm off to bed before I end up staying up till silly o'clock LOL

Could those icons themes be used for the standard tabs?. I haven't installed the 15 tab set (well I tried, but I finally didn't like how it looks), so I keep the standard tabs.
I suppose that if I install those iconsets the new icon will appear in the standard tabs anyway....

I haven't tried, so I can't confirm that they will - but as I've been replacing the manila files left right and centre, of the 30 I've replaced, most of them gave a 'the file you are replacing is part of the ROM, are you sure?' message.
Which I take to mean that they are the ones used by standard TF3D.
The extra files just won't be used
I can't see any reason not to try it - but as ever, I would suggest taking a backup of the manila files you are about to replace, just in case

General skin questions
:: How do I install skins?
:: :: After you downloaded your desired skin, uncompress the ZIP file and copy the SK2 file to the "skins" directory inside the application's folder on your device (e.g. "\Program Files\Nitrogen\skins"). After that, you may run the player and use the skin selector to load the skin file.
:: Are the skins from 0.3 compatible with 1.0?
:: :: Yes, they are! The new version (1.0) uses the same skin file structure as 0.3. Anyway, it's recommended to download the new skin toolbox (1.0.1) which includes the new icons that are used by 1.0.
:: Are the skins from 0.2.1 compatible with 0.3?
:: :: No, they aren't. The new skin files (SK2) allow more advanced behaviours and extensions that the old ones (SKN) didn't. So, if your favorite skin for 0.2.1 isn't available for 0.3, you can either be patient and wait for the author to upgrade, or you can get the bitmaps and upgrade it yourself.
Skin development
:: What's the difference between SKPROJ and SK2 files?
:: :: You can understand SKPROJ as the source of the skin file. These file extensions are handled by the Skin Studio (skstudio.exe), and contain uncompressed, 24-bit bitmap pictures (that's why they're large). The SK2 files contain 16-bit pictures, which passed by a Floyd-Steinberd dithering to assure quality, and are ready to be read by Nitrogen. To convert (I'd say compile, as you can consider SKPROJ the source and SK2 the binary) from SKPROJ to SK2 you use the Skin Export (skexport.exe) tool. For this, you can either click on "Export SK2 file" from the Skin Studio or execute the Skin Export directly.
:: Why can't Skin Studio load SK2 files?
:: :: That's because the SK2 file has already been sliced, compressed and dithered by the Skin Exporter. Also, the file structure of both files are different. If you want to edit a skin file, you have to acquire the SKPROJ file, either downloading on the skins page if available or asking the author.

Hi!
Skin Toolbox is made of two main programs: the Skin Studio (skstudio.exe) and the Skin Exporter (skexport.exe). On the Skin Studio, you can design every aspect of your skin, placing the buttons where you want them to be and so on. This program loads and saves SKPROJ files, that are bigger than the SK2 files (which are read by Nitrogen). To convert from SKPROJ to SK2, you can use the Skin Exporter. This utility allows you to create a ZIP file containing the source skin file (SKPROJ), the compiled skin file (SK2) and a screenshot. It means that it generates a ZIP file ready to be posted here on XDA. Concerning the new way to create skins, now you simply add four images, with the size of the screen resolution. They're called backgrounds. On the normal background, you load a screen in which the buttons are unpressed and the trackbars are empty. On the hotspot background, you load a screen in which the buttons are pressed and the trackbars are full. The (toggle) state of the backgrounds are for buttons that support it (such as Shuffle, Repeat, Play/Pause, and now the Next and Previous). Anyway, I'll provide a more detailed tutorial soon, and by now you can download the attachment and explore the SKPROJ files.

I'm now attempting to make a simple WVGA skin, just figuring out the basics of the skinstudio. The example you posted is very handy, maybe you should think about including it in the skinstudio zip, so people won't have to figure out everything on their own .

Excellent work on the new version. I've had some problems with the default VGA skin for WM6, it doesn't seem to respond to Play/Pause and some other buttons. I think it's the skin because I can get to all other functions using the options menu and play/pause using the hard keys on my Diamond. I'll have a play around with the skins editor to see if I can spot anything.

Sorry to sound stupid here but is there an option to set the size of the canvas for VGA? I have looked all over and can't see it. The last version had the options when you click New. Are you supposed to just add things in and let it make the size out of the images you put in if you are creating from scratch?
I tried your example and simply exported it and applied on my device but it is QVGA (interestingly the play/pause works on this one but not on the default VGA). Is there a way to import the default VGA skin so I can modify it?
I guess you're probably working on a FAQ that will answer these so I'll just wait until it comes out.

As I don't have a VGA device, I couldn't entirely test the skin, so I forgot to assign the buttons for play/pause and the other buttons . The latest release (0.3.1) that came a few hours after 0.3, fixes this.

Hi!
The skin studio picks the size of the background image and sets it as the screen resolution. I'm planning to provide a table with the resolutions and the matching background size (e.g. QVGA is 240x268, VGA is 480x536 and so on, because of the space left for the softkeys and the window title).

Okay so I've pretty much finished my WVGA skin, would you be able to post the project file for the default VGA skin as the QVGA project contains smaller icons (for the browser). Also I seem to be unable to return to the main window after opening the media browser, only thing I could do was restart the program. Will post it up as soon as I've got the bigger icons .

Seconded for the project file for VGA, would be really useful as I probably won't create from scratch, just move things around from Microfi's (if he doesn't mind).

Hi! You can't return to the player because your HTC X-Button is set to close the application (that's something I have to figure out...). The VGA skin project is attached below. If you wish to copy all the icons at once, use the "Export icons" and "Import icons" option on the Skin Studio.

Is that a device specific problem then or just the htc x button setting? i don't have this problem (when i press x on media browser it goes back to player) but i have x button set to minimise not close.

It happens when your HTC X-Button is set to close. As yours is set to minimize, Nitrogen works properly.

Ah all right, found a way to get back to the main window, if you open Nitrogen using the start menu and then open the browser, I can get back by opening the program again (while it's still running) via the start menu. A simple solution would probably be to add a back link in one of the context menus in the browser.
The skin studio is a really great piece of software, it's relatively easy and seems very open for newer versions of Nitrogen (which will include new features of course). There's just one thing that bugs me, not a biggy tho, you can't rename items, haha, would be handy for typos, but then again, not many people will see a typo in the project file..

Hi!
You can download the VGA sample, and change the backgrounds dimensions to 480x696 pixels. This way, your skin will fit WVGA devices. You can take a look on the tutorial too (link on the first topic). It's quite incomplete, but it's already covering the start. If you have any further questions, just ask!

Per your request, I will post my comment here as you have asked. I want you to know that I appreciate your hard work. I am a programmer too and realize how much time a "non paying" project takes. I was NOT trying to screw up your skins posts. I had simply thought that since the post containg the skin which (at the time) I thought was defective was in the other thread, it would make the most sense to post there and give someone the chance to correct it. It would have stopped there (for me at least) if the other gentlemen would have simply posted that you had requested all comments here. I only replied back to let him know (since he only had a few posts to his name) that that kind of conduct would be considered rude and that simply posting a link to this thread (like you did) would have been a better choice of tactics.
I will restate my potential bug here for you. When switching skins from the default QVGA one that comes with .31 to one of the WQVGA ones in the other thread, I noticed that the option menu does not get lengthened correctly. To fix it, you just have to exit and bring back up nitrogen and the menu then displays correctly. Probably just need to add a refresh to the options menu. Keep up the good work.

I decided to make a small change to WM6.5 Honeycomb, make it like a list.
I didn´t like the old style menu either the ney Honeycomb, so here it is the new one.
I resized the icons to 64x64 px, justo to gain memory
next thing is to make the active png and the selected png, as i dont know how to work in images i need to ask a friend to do.

I didn´t like the old style menu either the ney Honeycomb, so here it is the new one.
that is the message he wrote in the topic.
so that means he has a 6.5 beta rom with the honeycomb
he also says he doesnt like wm6.1 AND 6.5 style menu so he made a new one that doesnt look like a honeycomb and doesnt look like the old 6.1 style

Could you make the same Start Menu for Landscape?
so many things to do at work, that i forgot this...sorry guys.
this is very easy to make, and the landscape, its possible too.
this week im gona finish this, make the selected and the pressed icon, and the landscape.
is there any way to get like the startmenu to have the icons in a straight row insted, like the program tab in touchflow? that would be cool! since i never use the program tab and i dont rly like the honeycomd, how they put the icons! would be better with straight rows insted. would it be possible?
is it good for wm6.1 Diamond???

This post is for all of those out there who don't know how or are too lazy to move the files provided in this thread to their windows folder!
I have attached 5 .cabs below, none of which have i claimed rights or any ownership. These are made/owned by JMRRJMRR and mslug, all i have done is put the files into .cabs for us lazy-asses...
The cabs are as follows:
-"JMRRJMRR - WIP Honeycomb mod.cab" is JMRRJMRR's original posted files put into .cab
-"JMRRJMRR no icons.cab" is JMRRJMRR's original files minus the altered icons
-"JMRRJMRR pack with mslug blue bar.cab" is JMRRJMRR's files but with mslug's blue bar added
-"mslug - Blue List Start Menu.cab" is mslug's original posted files put into a .cab
-"Unforseen Honey.cab" is my own mix of clear bars and landscape support added
AGAIN use at your own risk and none of the files are mine! give your thanks/props/whatever you call it to the original owners (JMRRJMRR & mslug)

TF3D Neon Tabs Theme
Still development in progress but so far I have managed to get the actual TF3D tabs to be in a type of "Neon" scheme.
I will be working heavily on this trying to go through all icons in TF3D making them Neon so there will be many updates to follow making this simply perfect.
Feedback more than welcome and opinions probably will be worked in.
Please note, people have confirmed this works on....

If you do try this on any other phone, please let me know the outcome, I should be able to adapt the files to work on any phone in theory
The Cab file is fully un-installable so if you don't like them, just remove the program in Remove Programs and you're back to normal.

hi everyboby, sorry maybie i make a mistake by posting here, but i got a little problem, when i extract the file i didint see any cab file, even when i put it on my storage card ,i can only see a setup, then double clic, and going straight to open a web page and nothing else, i did some reseach to know how to install the cab, can soemeone please help me about that i am totaly knew in wm, i got the tp2 answsome mobile, and i really like this forum, sorry mod maybie this is the wrong place to post , but really need advise pls .

There is no need to extract the file, it's a cab anyway.
Just copy the file to your phone and open it -it installs itself.

The slide part, the button that you hold to move and slide, the "block". Can't think what its called but its the rectangle block that you slide from left to right.
Ahh ok, you mean the slider .
I'm already using Lucarp's transparent slider.
I've attached it, so you can have a look for yourself what it does.

Looks good, I want it to be a bit narrower though I think, not 100% sure yet, haven't made my mind up. Think I'll have a play around and might incorporate it in my icon set.
Update
Updated icons to include people section and also added transparent slider and transparent bottom curtains in so no need for extra installs.

I can do them for the Touch HD too if needed. I just need the manila files uploading somewhere if someones prepared to do it?

Hi there, just want to say it works on my Touch HD Unfortunately I am using a chinese rom (Devilstone v3.7 with TouchFLO 34 2.1.38158.2), so I am not too sure if it will work with other cooked romr, just give it a try I guess~
