Hi all,
I'm very new to the HTC scene, and have a TyTN (Hermes), running WM6.
I have all of my contacts from my old BB device saved as .ipd files, and would like to know what the best way to convert these and import them onto my TyTN would be.
Any suggestions would help.
Much appreciated.

Hey everyone,
I just got an I-Mate JAM, i just wanted to see if anyone can tell me how i can get my phonebook (thats store on my sim) into the contacts part of my JAM.
Also if anyone has any suggestions as to programs or tips would be great.
Thanks
T
I haven't actually tried this, but in your Programs list you should have SIM Manager.
Tools, Select All, Save To Contacts
Dear Group, Father Christmas has come early this year and bought me a Wizard in the guise of a o2 XDA Mini s. Or rather, as is the way with married folk, i bought it myself for dear wife to give to me lol. Now, given that its a gift i've only looked at it briefly but from what i have seen i like it a lot. I've got my Vodafone SIM working on it and i've managed to connect to my encrypted WI-FI router, so it's a good start!
Now, i currently have a nice little Samsung mobile which i tend to use more for texting.
I've discovered how to export all my contacts to Outlook, so i imagine i can then import them into the Wizard no problem.
But,,, how do i get all my text messages into the Wizard?
I've managed to export the texts from the Samsung to my PC in .CSV format which opens with Excel. But, will i be able to import that file into the Wizard, and if not, how can i achieve it?
All help appreciated.
Many Thanks
How did you do the export.
ya you need a file called , PPCBckpContacts
I am at work so i would not be able to upload for you, but i am sure that someone could do this for you.

Absolutely brilliant! THANKS!
Of course there is a catch ... the ZIP file on the site appears to be corrupted. (sigh)
Hello,
I just got my Universal (as M5000) from eBay, it's running WM6 already. I'd like to know if there is any way how to easily migrate all my details, settings, contacts, appointments and you-know-all-the-other-stuff from my old iPAQ5550 running WM2003. Thanks.
Exellent choice!!

Hi ren
Wellcome to UniĀ“s forums, I would recommend you to pas all the info you want to move to your new Uni to your PC or Lap, and form there using Windows Mobile Device Center or ActiveSync 4.5 you can syn your computer to your new toy!
Hope this works for you
Cheers
Thanks orb,
sounds good but unfortunately I am not able to sync my devices, using WMDC6.1, it just says Outlook not installed and allows me to sync only files and favorites. What Outlook? On PPC or on PC? Email is only thing I don't want to sync..:-/
Hey guys,
So, after my blackberry died I extracted all of my contacts to an .ipd file. I was wondering if there is an easy way to move them over to my phone.
I was thinking that I could try importing them into Outlook somehow, and then from there take them to the HD2?
Any advice?
Well if you were able to create an IPD file, give this site a try:

Looks like you will be able export to essentially any file format of your choosing. I recommend exporting to CSV, then into Outlook or Gmail.
Good luck.

Have them do it at the Tmobile store. Thats how I did mine. I transfered all 175 contacts from my old 9700 to the HD2
sorry guys, i am coming from kaiser forum but hoping for answer as so many here dual boot.
i believe this is a common request but i have not found a good solution.
i dual boot from winmo 6.5 to android and want to sync SMS between them.
contacts are easy through gmail.
i have seen solutions using export csv/xml, some sort of file text string manipulation, then import but all a bit convoluted. i could do this ok for a 1-off transfer.
i do not want to replace either of the databases, only import/merge.
anyone have an easy(ish) answer. must be able to handle folders.
paid for progs are not a problem but free is always nice
