Hi mates. my rom version is
Rom Version : 11.0.0.1 WWE
Rom Date : 9/30/07
Radio Version : 2.25.11
Protocol Ver : 4.1.13.12
I used Battery status to over clock my wizard and it started hanging. i removed overclocking.
now i am turning on my wifi. from comm manager. but the wifi switched off. all other. beam and bluetooth are working fine. but Wifi is not working. i tried restarting my device. but still its not getting switched on.
Please let me know. is this hardware or software problem?
Regards.
have you thought about reloading the OS?
seriously you didn't really provide enough information to be diagnosed as hardware or software. if you reflash the phone you'll know its hardware if it still doesn't work

I have problems with the phone side of my XDA.
It keeps turning off by itself every 20 or so minutes.
I have upgraded to
ROM 4.21.00 ENG
Radio 4.21.00
Protocol 32S54
Still no changes. PDA worksfine but phone still turns off by itself.
Any sugestions please.
Thanks
what's your device type ... PW10A or B (rear sticker) ? and what's the band width of your network ?
also, does the phone work fine before turning off ?
did u upgrade the RSU or the ROM only and where/how did u do the upgrade ?
It's PD10A1 originaly on O2
The phone works fine while is on.
I upgraded via ActiveSync
First the ROM and than the RSU
Both upgrades successful
Did the same before the upgrade while using Developers special ROM.
I tried all diferent options in phone setup but no change.
Any Sugestions
this may or may not be help full but when I upgraded my radio stack on the o2 XDA 2 with the I-Mate Radio Stack, OS and Ex Rom it worked fine, however when I changed the Ex Rom with the O2 Ex Rom the phone stopped working.
The work around can be seen in this forum but I cant find it at the moment. Hope this helps?
Hi there!
I have a problem with the GPRS internet connection on my brand new Magician:
The first time I connect it works flawlessly - but after the first disconnect the devices refuses to reconnect and tells me to check my settings.
After a soft-reset it works again.
Anybody with the same problem?
Thanx!
Holden
ROM: 1.12.01 GER
Radio: 1.12.00
had the same problem. Apparently its to do with the new version of CallerID.

you can find the fix here. I can confirm it fixed my problem (ROM: 1.12.00 WWE)

this is also a known Phonealarm bug and was fixed in 1.26 beta 4, so if you have that installed, install the newest beta (1.26 beta 6)

ooo i wasnt aware of that one! hehe
teh callerID downgrade fixed my problem though... ive decided not to fiddle with my phone anymore
First off, great site so far, lets hope you can help fix my problem.
I got the O2 XDA Exec on Friday, since then I changed a few things in the registry to make it a bit better... then updated the rom to O2s latest one on theie site:
ROM version 1.30.107 WWE
ROM date: 04/11/06
Radio version: 1.09.00
Protocol version: 42.42.P8
ExtROM version: 1.30.162 WWE
My major problem now is, since updating the ROM to 1.30.107 WWE my WIFI wont connect or when it does it disconnects pretty quick, where as it used to stay connected forever. Also, when WIFI disconnects, it says Wi-Fi: Available but will try to connect to GPRS (costing me money which I don't want). Anyone know how to either get wifi to stay connected and connect all the time its available or stop GPRS from connecting when I dont want it to? Would this be due to a hack I tried to stop it shutting off wifi etc on standby? (I may have done it wrong)
Also, where can I get better updates for the ROM or is this the latest one? I'm not afriaid to hard reset or whatever as many times as needed, especially at the moment as it has hardly anything on it and what it has on I can easily get back on.
Furthermore, on the first ROM it had on it, unsure of version, there was a battery bar in Today, since updating this has gone, how do I get that back?
I have a load more questions but i will save those for when I get these ones sorted.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
hello,
my xda neo never finds or displays any network. Did anyone experience a similar problem and has a solution??
My biggest worries are, that i dont know if it is a software or hardware problem
i did a hard reset, turned on the wifi in the comm-manager and no network is displayed altough there are several networks in this house ranging from secured to open networks...
i also tried programs like wifiknife and hitchhiker but no networks are displayed... wifiknife says that "tnetwln1 is found and ok" .... but then no APs are found...
here are also my version numbers:
ROM:2.15.4.47 GER
Date 3/9/06
RAdioRom: 02.19.21
Protocol: 4.1.13.09
extROM: 2.15.4.140
I would appreciate any help. thanks.
Do you Sniff with Netstumbler? Or search over build in Wifi Driver? Do you use a Provider Based Rom or a Custom made Rom?
i used wifiknife as well as hitchhiker...
and of course the internal wifi application. but none of these finds ANYTHING...
i have the normal provider based ROM, but as far as i know it is the newest official update from the O2 website. ?! but i am not sure. I would try a custom ROM if it is better, but i do not know which is good for my xda... ?
and does it help my problem at all?
As from title I don't succeed anymore' to activate the wifi after the updating I remove to the version 1.15.00 (in precedence I had 1.12.00) Someone knows how can resolve this small great problem!!!!
