I will probably get blasted for asking a dumb question, but.... How do you edit the time settings for the automatic sounds on the today screen. It seems there must be a way to adjust the times, but I can not locate it.
I was wondering the same thing
Anyone know the answer to this question please? It is also giving me problems

Hey I got my XDA Exec this morning which I'm really please about, been using it for a couple of hours but for some reason the clock has disappeared from the title bar in the today screen and I can't get it back!
Does anyone know what might have happened, about the only thing I've got installed is Pocket Plus 3.
Infact i've noticed that the volume icon is gone too, but if i click where it should be the pop-up appears for me to change the volume levels.
It's like there is something covering these two icons and it's driving me mad, having the time visible there is about one of the most useful things
This is a common problem
This happened to me too. It was caused by the O2 software. If you do a search on this site using the words "clock missing" there have been many posts on this subject and the solutions of how to remove the O2 software are posted too.
The O2 interface also seems to slow up the machine and cause a lot of freezing requiring a soft reset. My machine has been tons better since removing it.
If you decide that you would rather have the clock than the O2 software (and most people do) and decide to remove it, remember first of all to save your phone and GPRS setting to your filestore! This can save you a lot of time. If you like the 02 today screen theme then you could save this too.
Also I recommend that you make a backup first so that you can go back to how you are now if you need to.
Good Luck
Open the clock and you should find an extra tab at the bottom called - "More" select that and a new option appears Display the clock on the title bar in all programs.
Neither of those options worked, in the end I hard resetted the device and set it up in corporate mode I found using a PIN I got by just searching google! No more O2 Active anywhere, and I've got my clock back! I'd only had the device a few hours so luckily it didn't take too long to set everything back up how it was before hand The only thing I had to do was manually set up the GPRS connection again but that was simple enough since I already had all the settings saved
Hi Guys
Another basic question here. I can see how I can set the phone to ring, how to set it to vibrate, and how to make it be totally silent. My question is, can you make the phone ring AND vibrate for an incoming call? When I select ring in the control panel, it makes the vibrate option vanish. Please tell me this is possible!
Regards,
Andrew
In Settings/Personal/Sounds & Notifications you hit the notifications tab at the bottom.
Under 'Event', choose "Phone: Incoming call"
Under 'Type', choose "Vibrate and ring" or "Vibrate then ring"
You can also do all this in Settings/Personal/Phone.. first tab..
I reccomend exploring your phone before asking something like this. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you could have found this extreamly easily just by looking at all the options you can choose from in the settings window/list.
Thank you very much v1rone. Don't worry, no offense taken.
I have been looking for this feature for a while now and didn't post as a first resort. This phone is just so different from my last one (SE P990) that it's taking me a while to get to grips with it. I had seen that screen before, but for some reason, I didn't notice that middle drop down and saw vibrate as a tick box for all the other things in the top drop down so I assumed it wasn't possible for phone calls.
Anyway, it's all sorted now, thank you very much for your guidance.
BTW, when clicking on the "notifications" tab at the bottom, it takes ages for the tab to come up. This has only been since I upgraded to the new R2 firmware. On the older R1 firmware, it still took a while, but not nearly as long as it does now. Just thought I'd mention it.
Yeah, mine does the same thing when trying to get into that tab. Not sure what the deal is there.
I haven't flashed any of the new R2 roms yet. It's possible that the R2 versions have more files in the windows folder, causing this application to take longer when seeking out all the settings it needs to display it's window. Not sure..
I have absolutely zero evidence to backup this statement seeing that I haven't peeked into the updated rom files yet, but who knows
Sounds plausible
on another note, any way to make the X1i ring and vibrate in a sane manner . . . the vibration is sort of insane lol
anyone know of any app/program to control this?
thanks

Hello all.
I have a TD2 with The original HTC WM 6.5 ROM.
I love it, but one thing annoys me:
The world clock that pops up when pressing the watch.
It gets in the way everytime the phone ring, and i grab for it in my pocket.
I have googled it, and searched this forum, and all i have been able to find was a cooked ROM that has it disabled, but also had othér changes i don't want.
Is there a kind soul inhere hwo knows a simpler way to disable this "world Clock" feature? (and is willing to share the secret with me )
Thank you in advance Humpeligimp
What World Clock?
I'm assuming you mean when you tap on the clock on the home screen, unless you installed something - SPB Time, or something else with a screensaver - which gives you a world clock?
I hate to suggest the obvious, but if you don't put the lock on when the phone is in your pocket there is potential for bigger problems than the Clock settings to be displayed - a feature, rather than a bug.
My suggestion would be to engage lock before pocketing phone - last time I forgot I made a long silent call, so I soon learned!
Yes that world clock.
I am sorry if it could be misunderstood.
The ringing phone in the pocket was just an example. (Of course i lock my screen)
What i realy ment was can it be disabled ?
To stop it from stealing focus when i accidentially taps the time.
I find it annoying, and i have no need know the time in some other country,
just from the front of my phone.
I like to link my clock so that when i press it, it launches second today. I do this using ssmaho 0.0.4.0. I suppose you could link it to take you to the home screen (ie. do nothing)!
Thank you. I'll check ssmaho and see.

Is there a way i can change the lock screen of my phone? I don't like the normal slide down thing, i really like anything that i can slide across really...
so i was wondering if there was a .apk or a flash-able thing i could use to change it.
i did search for about 15-20 min and gave up so if someone just links me to another part of the forum thats cool because i must have missed it but i dont need to hear "use the search noob" or something to that effect.
thanks in advance
after some looking i found widgetlocker which seems amazing, so if anyone knows a free one cool if not ill just get this.
thanks
I did a little hunting around and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for:
My girlfriend has a captivate, and hates the default answering screen you get when there's an incoming phone call. She finds the small slider too difficult to reliably slide all the way over on a consistent basis. I found a few apps that will change it to a single button, but they have mixed feedback, and that raises the problem of the phone accidentally being answered in her purse/pocket. Short of loading a custom ROM (I am /not/ going down that road on a phone that isn't mine) does anyone know of a way to change the answer screen to have a larger slider or like the glass style lock screen? Am I missing something obvious?
