does anyone know about a software which can dump rom memory (read rom and save it to the disk) amd unpack from orange spv M700?
Check the Wiki. You'll find this article:

Hi gyuys,
maybe this is not the right place where we can talk on this
but the resource of the forum arre great...so
there is a way to extract files from etem m500's rom
(memory or .nbf) so we can catch files from bluetooth and the other software?
i've already tried dumprom but it creates an empty file
TIA
the rom is not memory mapped, only the kernel part is loaded in ram.
if you disassemble the kernel, you'll notice a kerneliocontrol function 0x1012000, this is what you can use to read from the rom.
the kernel you can find at 0x80040000 in memory.

I have just installed the new Dopod 828 Chinese ROM on my i-mate JAM and created the 27M BigStorage on it.
The radio ROM is 1.13.
I have also extracted the Extended ROM for those interested.
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Magician/Extended_ROM_Dopod_CHT_112_177/
There are quite a few interesting add-on softwares such as
- Skype For PocketPC
- Iconlab Intervision
- Polaris PWinner
- wLAN11b (for the Dopod "short" SD wifi card)
Talents,
Can you upload the CHT 1.12 Rom also? Thanks a lot
The full OS ROM was uploaded on 11 August by someone else.

Hi, Talents
Could you teach me how to install this rom file, after zip the rom is .bin format.
thanks you
thanks for info,it works fine with my 818!!
Please note that in Device Information, it will show Model to be PM10B instead of PM10A. This should cause no problem to installing almost all softwares, but Pocket Hack Master fails to recognise it.
My i-mate JAM has been upgraded to 128M RAM. So, the configuration is no different from Dopod 828.

Hi Mate,
How to install this rom on the I-mate.
Thanks & Regards,
Use the standard SD method to install. You can find a lot of postings about the method in this forum.
As a short summary:
1. Use RomUpdate.exe to dump your orginal ROM to a 128M or 256M SD card.
2. Use ntrw.exe to read the ROM file on the SD card and save it to your hard disk.
3. Use HexEditor to replace the first 416 bytes of the downloaded ROM by the same of your original ROM.
4. (BigStorage option) Change the bytes 80 00 to b8 01 at locations 7e4a and 1fc232e.
5. Use ntrw.exe to write the modified ROM file to SD card.
6. Insert the SD card and set the ppc to bootloader mode.
The above may appear complicated if you are new to ROM upgrade procedures. Please search the forum for more detailed instructions before you attempt.
Compare with o2 mini ROM and 828 rom
have imporove quantity of carmera ?

Why I got 11.03 MB of my Rom Storage when I Finished the rom upgrade?
And also my radio Version still in 1.11 ?
Thanks a lot! Although I haven't 828.
can I flash it to Eng O2Mini if no RAM upgrade (still 64MB) and how to do? Is there any improvement such as carmera and phone?
and how to use your .bin file? thank you.
Thanks, it's very useful
Still having trouble with BIN file
What do we do with the bin file? I downloaded the full OSDopod828 and have no idea what to do. I see nb1 files and then bin files. do we rename it or what? Can you guys help and clarify. Getting really frustrated.
What's the purpose of editting the 416bytes. If i just want the standard OS, did i have to back up anything at all? Why cant it be just as easy as the EXE which does everything for you...geeesh
C.
How to use BIN Files and SD upgrade?
Read a few posts which arent as clear for me at least. Maybe i'm just slow. I want to upgrade my dopod 828 back to CHT. Any easy way to do it next to the SD method which doesnt work with me. I didnt back up my CHT before i went for the WWE. What do i do with the bin file. Rename it or edit it what? Need desparate help here guys.
Sorry for multiple posts.
How can I creat an extended rom image "ms_nbf" to include in my o2 update?? I am assuming that the Extended Rom images do not contain radio code?
I have the Extended_ROM directory and wish to turn it into ms_nbf to flash to my ROM of my xdaIIi.
I cannot find clear and sensible instructions anywhere just a jumble of tools and the like that don't seem to work 100%.
Do I use mkrom and if so how?? Or do I try and get MS romimage and if so how do I use them???
Hello,
The available original shipped ROMs for the HTC Hermes have .nbh files with the RUU, instead of the usual .nbf files found in other HTC rom updates:
By now, there are two shipped ROMs available, containing:
HERMIMG_Dopod_1.23.707.1_SHIP.nbh
hermimg_QtekNOR_1.18.255.3_Ship.nbh
So, it seems that the usual nk.nbf file is no longer used by the Hermes RUU
I cannot extract the various rom components (ExtROM, OS, IPL/SPL, SplashScreen, GSM radio, etc...) out of these files using the usual TyphoonNbfTool, however maimach's prepare_imgfs finds the imgfs and dumps it apparently ok, but it cannot be read using viewimgfs or itsme's rdmsflsh.pl, so I guess the dumped file is invalid.
Anybody knows about this new format?
is it possible to convert it to nk.nbf so we can cook our own roms?
Would it be possible for example to extract the radio rom from Dopod and replace it on QtekNOR rom?

EDIT: I posted the same on TyTN Upgrading forum and there's some more info... ignore this post and continue the thread here:

Hi,
do you know a way to convert a .nbf file to .nbh? i want to flash the cortulla's ROM on my HTC magician using your flasher tool.
Hi, i'm a proud owner of a universal (qtek9000) i'm looking for the software "cyberion voice commander" (non speed dial) italian language, unfortunately does not exist an italian commercial version of this software(otherwise I would buy it ).
I've an italian Eten rom (.exe) that have this program in extended rom, someone can help me to extract this program without install the rom (I haven't an eten )
Thank you...
From memory (it's been a long time since I did this, so it might all be wrong), for the Eten roms, run the installer, and it'll extract to a temp\ folder (use a file i/o tracker, or check your temporary files folder for which folder).
In there, I think you should find one file that is marked something like extended or something, and that can be opened with a standard virtual disk editor like winimage. Extract from FAT.
V
as i read in eten-user forum I've initially extract " EUU.exe", "USBDLUpdate_console.exe", "upgrade.bat" i think that upgrade.bat is really the rom and maybe contains the extended rom.
Now what do you suggest me to extract the program from this .bat
thanks a lot
What rom are you working on? Do you have a copy we can have a look at?
Thanks!
V
rom 215 Ita for Eten M600 , maybe in eten ppc there isn't an extended rom...
You have pm with the link to the rom...
Another ppc that have a rom with voice commander in rom is asus p505...
Thanks again...
Hello.. So, did you find the way to extract voicecommander from the rom??
I have the rom file (temp.dat 59.611.764 byte)
If someone needs it, please tell me that I'm going to share it!!
Thanks
I have ROM 230wwe for the eten m600 if you need it...I would like to know also how to extract this EXTROM.
Thanks
Does anyone know a way to extract files from an eten rom dupm (temp.dat file used in the flashing process) ?
Regards
