Phone vibrate icon? What is it? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Does anyone know what the icon is at the bottom of the screen when you set the phone to vibrate? It looks like a heart with a phone wrapped around it or something. (It comes up next to the battery status icon) Anyone? Thanks

Geez, I have been racking my brain trying to find something that even talks about it. I had not made the connection to the vibrate function.
Now... what is it for?

What?
You know I'm just talking about the logo, right?

Stop Blinking Bluetooth Indicator

Anyone know where in the registry can I turn off the blinking bluetooth indicator. Not really a big deal until I'm driving in my car at night - it's like a cop is behind me!!! And bright too!!

Just to summarize: you can disable it, but only by disabling all the LED notifications - including WiFi, Radio and Power.
ZeBoxx: there is another less invasive way, but I've had no time to finish the app. But allledmgr will do the job for most purposes...

you're working on way too much at the same time, vijay It leaves you with many unfinished projects, and a lot of posts going "maybe vijay will write it for me" :>
Not that I'm one to talk.. *eyes that darn colorpicker*
Damn, forgot about the color picker. VJCandela's "GUI" wore me out. Working on something very very non GUI right now
V
haha, good! I really can't find time to work on that da*n thing :\
hmmm.... my cingular 8125 has no such key under Builtin. So, I added the key "AllLEDMgr" and made a DWORD value named "Index" inside it which I set to 0. Soft resetting had no affect on the LEDs.
Interestingly, I can't delete the key "AllLEDMgr" now as it's marked in use.
Sleuth255: dump your registry (and also your rom if you're feeling generous) and send it over to sleuth @ vijay555.com and I'll have a look..

I'm using the Wizard with norwegian ROM, and I don't have this registry key either. Does anyone know why, and how I can tweak the LEDs?
De-solder the LED or if you're not that adventurous, put a little bit of electrical/insulation tape over the LED
This should work, but it's not exactly the solution I was looking for....

that'll block the green wifi one, too, though! What you really need is a bit of green gaffer tape; that should block practically all of the blue but leave the green coming through
Ok, I tried the green gaffer tape, but it didn't look too good. I'm going to try the soldering solution now, and probably solder inn an extra CPU while I'm in there, just to boost things up. Thanks for the good tips!
you're welcome!
and remember - use leaded solder. Sure, it's not as good for the environment, but it'll last longer!
It would actually be nice if there were a way to disable the flashing radio LED, but I have motive other than being annoyed by it.
I would like to be notified of new voicemail, appointments, & text messages via LED, however, since I am color blind (technically...I have a "color defect") I can not differentiate between the orange and green flashing LED (although I can see the blue one).
Therefore it would be better to have it off UNLESS there is an alert.
Is it possible that somebody can write something to change this or is it hopeless?

[Q] Screen never goes off after receiving text or missing a call

So if I get a text, my screen lights up and does not go out lol. It will stay on all night, I've woken up to a dead battery because of it. I have it set on 30 seconds so I have no idea why it does this. If I miss a call it does it too. It does not do it for emails though. Does anyone else have this or know how to fix?
thanks

You can either check the Puzzle Lock option, or use a pattern to unlock the screen. I don't know if any other lockscreen apps have the same issue or not, but both of those things (either one, you don't have to do both) worked for me.
I personally use SMS Popup and disable notifications via the stock app. I've never experienced what you are seeing.
Seems like you two should talk.

mine does exactly the same...the battery drains lighting fast coz of it...
any solutions ?
EDIT: seems i found a temporary solution by enabling Puzzle lock in the Sound and display options
To fix this glitch, simply turn ON the 'Slide Puzzle Piece' feature in settings.
By the way OP, you's a cutie
Hey guys, thanks. I don't prefer the puzzle lock but if it's the only work around for the glitch then im cool with that. I just enabled puzzle lock so I think that should do it.
Thanks a million

[Q] Anyone know if you can disable the [Call][Start][Back][End] button backlights?

Kinda says it all in the Title.
Ive recently changed my theme to be very minimal,
including removing the start & close softkeys on screen (WM6.5.5)
Now, I use the hardware keys instead.
The problem is that because I use the hardware keys a lot,
they light up a lot & I have actually seen a slight drop in battery life.
The other problem is when I want to use my phone at 3am after being woken
by a text from a friend & all of a sudden Im blinded by the backlights behind
the four buttons.
Does anyone know if there is a way to permenantly disable them without taking
the device apart & ripping them out?

[Q] Notification LED alternative?

Hi!
I'm considering buying the phone, but I'm being put off by some things, among them inconveniently placed notification LED. Afaik it is in the power button, which quite sucks. So I'd like to ask what some handy alternatives there are? Probably something that would turn on the screen and it would stay on for some time?
Thanks
No one? How exactly do YOU solve this problem?
Got soldering skills? Buy micro led, solder it in front of speaker mesh, enjoy.
retsam88, it is better to be quiet if you don't have a reasonable answer.
The majority of us just don't consider this to be a problem.
OK, thanks, maybe I could also live with it.
I found two applications in case I could not:
Status LED:

ReRemind:

Now the only thing remains to buy a Touch HD for a good price
Frankly, i never noticed if HTC Touch HD's led is blinking or not when you have missed calls/sms and have been using it for 2 years now. Only noticed it blinking when battery is drained. But you can use S2U2, which is a free lockscreen application and has the options of reminding you about missed calls/sms/emails by playing sounds at certain intervals.
Eh... is there an application which could be used to tweak the LED? Thanks
yes i have on top let blink for mesage mised call etc

[Q] Turn off or Silence "Battery Fully Charged" Notification

Hi guys and gals - I'm running Lollipop on my Verizon S5. The phone is rooted with the stock ROM. Since the Lollipop upgrade, my phone now decides to wake me up in the middle of the night to let me know it's fully charged by vibrating (I keep my phone on vibrate at night). As appreciative as I am for the heads up, I don't care about it and don't need to know. Unfortunately, my phone is also my alarm clock so it sits right next to the bed. Muting the phone obviously fixes the problem, but I need to leave my phone on (vibrate) since I periodically get emergency calls for work at night.
This notification sound/vibration happens regardless of the charger I use (including the one that comes with the S5). I also verified that the notification comes from the System UI (not from a 3rd party app).
I use Lllama to automate a lot of tasks on the phone and thought I would be tricky by telling it to mute the phone once it hits 99% and then changing it to vibrate 10 minutes after that. It took care of the problem... but then when Llama changes the phone back to vibrate after the 10 minutes, it vibrates to let you know it's been changed... dammit - foiled again!!
Any thoughts on how to either disable or silence the sound would be truly appreciated!!!
Thanks!!

I use the rom-v6-0-touchwiz-modness-lollipop-4-t3035513 and you can disable the charging sounds in the moar control panel, not sure if you can install moar to your rom like you could with Exposed.
you might be able to put llama in the non priority interuptions sound settings. and do something with that.

Thanks Voodoobrew - I actually don't want to switch ROMs if possible (at least for the near future) and I couldn't find anything about installing the MOAR control panel as a separate install.
As stupid as it is, the notification still goes off when you have it in Priority Mode so my only answer so far is Mute.
I can't believe there aren't a ton of people out there complaining about this - I'm assuming this isn't something that Android has built in - it's got to be either Samsung or Verizon coming up with this stupid decision.
Any other ideas guys?

Thanks larryk - that's definitely good info, but unfortunately, I keep the phone on vibrate at night so I don't think the sound file would come into play, correct?
I have the same issue. My phone is silenced at night but I use my phone as the bedside clock and alarm. The damn notification banner is bright enough that it wakes me up. A Google search has turned up plenty of people having this problem but no solution yet.

LOL!! The only thing that helps me on that front is that I don't use Daydream or anything like that so I've just gotten in the habit of putting the phone face down on the nightstand while charging. I also use Llama to turn the brightness all the way down on my phone when connected to my charger after 9pm and then turn it back to automatic when disconnected from the charger - that might be something that might help you a little bit.
So nobody else out there has any thoughts on this?
