Windows media player 10 for Qtek 8020

Hello!
I want to ask something!
I have Qtek 8020 (it's like SP3i) and it has wmp 9 on it.
I was wondering if i can have wmp 10 on my phone like
Audiovox SMT5600, dopod 565 and 575.
I' ve asked Qtek service in Greece and they said that they don't
know when they are going to release the firmware that has
wmp 10.
So, does anybody know if this is possible?
Maybe a hack on Qtek rom?

also Qtek 8020 is not a pda it's a smartphone they cant use programs compiled for pda's as they use a different type of cpu

There are no ROM tools that work with smartphone ROM images. So you cannot cook ROMs yourself.

can i upgrade my imate jamin with qtek rom or dopods rom ?

Am I able to use my previously backed up data (SpriteBackup) when I flash to the a different ROM? Or is the back up useless after a ROM upgrade?
Also, what different with this Qtek ROM?
My s200 runs very smoothly at the moment, dont know if I should upgrade at all.
Any thoughts?

As far as i know, yes.

My Qtek was shipped with mentioned WWE ROM (2.9.7./2.9.7.106). It was unstable and slow... After a week of use... Damn!
Now I am on Dopod's WWE 2.15.13.27/2.15.13.121, and feel good, no-more-stupid-soft-resets, feeling much faster and very stable.
If you have some good and stable ROM, I suggest not to change to this one...

make sure you CID unlocked your prophet or you can't flash it 100% back to anything else.
the dopod rom sucked for me (without the extended rom is was more stable than with the extended rom).
i prefer the jamin rom.

Wrong... The second referencied file has all you need to upgrade, incluning images and NoVendor update utility on place. Just download, extract, run, follow the screens. And be patiend, there some stops during upgrade, looks like nothing happens and all hungs. Just be patient for 10-15 minutes.

Just download the Novender and execute RomUpdateUtility
It works fine on my Qtek S200 but how can I change the language because Im French and English is not my speciality ?
Does it exist another ROM in FR?

Oooops... The ROM is WWE, it means it support locales, but the interface is English only. To get French you need French ROM (it's downgrade, not so easy as go up) or some third-party interface localisation pack.

one question, if i upgrade the rom of my qtek s200 i will lose all my data and installed programs?

If i upgrade my xda neo to dopod ROM, is there any way to go back to my original xda Neo ROM ? By applying patch from http://www.o2-online.de/o2/kunden/technikundeinst/exclusive/xda/xdaneo/index.html?nidx=1 for instance ..

I found a German ROM for my o2 XDA on the FTP site - here is the link...

Maybe it isnt what you are lookng for, but it got me out of a pinch today.

i have found the rom.And have try it.I can only boot in booloader mode.Nothing else work.If i activate bootloader mode and plug in the usb cable i hear the sound that usb is connected.But if i start the original rom update it doesn't recognize the phone. Error 260 appears Verbindung(connection)

I also had to load this rom from bootloader. If the rom doesnt see the phone, restart the phone into bootloader again. I noticed that if it tried to find the phone once and couldnt, it would not ever be able to unless I reset the phone and put it back in bootloader. this rom will work, just keep playing with it.

1. Is the Rom an Original HTC 3300 ROM? (with TomTom inside)
2. Is this ROM WM5 or WM6? (nobody answered that question yet)
3. Which file inside the arcive should be used?
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_1.exe> or
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_2.exe> or both
4. In which order should I use that two files?
As long as these question are`t answered, everybody should keep the fingers away from flashing, because he did`t know, what he is doing. Some help from a "guru" would be helpfully. =

WM6 on mda compact
WM6 seems to work on my mda compact but i can't find my camera utility or my mp3 player anywhere.
My camera button doesn't work anymore, please help!!!
My other question is: Is it possible to get my MDA fully in the dutch language?

Its wm2003 look at the bottom bar, you will know. wm6 has keyboard control in the middle.

how do i download the roms if some cannot be opened

problem
i tried to install one but hanged during the installation .............
now i have no radio or no gsm .............therefore no telephone
how can i get back the radio?

There is an alpine radio ROM that you can download from
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Alpine/Extracted Rom/radio_.nbf
But if you tried burning a Himalaya ROM to your Alpine, you probably messed up your operating system and should flash your good old ROM back as well. There is no WM5 or WM6 for Alpine.

i manged to run alpine_Noid as usual and everything returned to normal ..........
