A method to fix corrupted GSM ROM xda.

Hello here is a way that i have just used to fix my 900/1800 (O2) xda.
You first need a SD Card reader/writer and an SD card.
Download RSU_ENG.exe from here. -- SORRY URL NOT WORKING --
Run the .exe and unpack PROGRAMME B to a location.
Copy the RSUpgrade.sa.CAB file onto your SD card and then onto your XDA. Run the cab file and the program will install and then reset your XDA and then the upgrade process will begin.
I recommend taking out any SIM cards before upgrading cause it may stall it, but even if it does just soft reset and try again.

What rom version is there on the dutch O2 side?
You are mentioning a download of a rom file from the dutch o2 site.
O2 Netherlands didn't give any updates for a long time.
Is this a recent ROM?

Yes is appears to be quite recent.
The versons are 3.15.15 for the PDA and 4.16 for the GSM Rom.
The directory the files are in is only a few days old by the looks.

It looks like O2 Netherlands has removed the update from it's server.
Anybody knows where to get it?

Hi I have acquired a xda directly in England from O2.
Can I can use this files for update my xda to tha last software version?
Are compatible my XDA by O2 (England) and this file ?
Can I have some problem during an update?

Yes andruf you can use these files to update your O2 xda, they are compatible with all O2 xdas in UK/EU and you should not have a problem updating... but i can't gauruntee it.

if anyone is in genuine need of these file in order to repair a broken XDA pls send me a private msg and i will try and help out.

I've tried to upgrade the ROM and something gone wrong.
Now I have a XDA with a CE version but no Radio or protocol.
Can anybody tell what to do?
When I reboot the XDA I get one first screen (with the O2 logo) with only one version nr. 3.16.13. After one minute, above the 3.16.13 I get a R and above a G without any numbers. after that I get a blank screen whit a blue bar on top.
Please help me

i think the FTP maybe full, cause i keep getting disconnected when i reach 14megs i've tried twice. I'm uploading it to my server right now. i'll send you the link when it's up

the irony is, I have a qtek device, and i still cant download it from qtek's site. It says not a valid IMEI and must be bought from brightpoint or something like that :s
I bought my device from Mad Monkey boy (MMB).....anyways, will just have to wait

Vodafone V1605 3.3.0 ROM Update anyone?

I'm new to this site, and have searched as much as I can but I can't for the life of me find what I'm after.
I have 6 Vodafone V1605's - 1 of them has the latest ROM update which has the Messaging and Security Feature Pack the others don't. Having looked in the downloads section there is only the 2.3.0 version. I've called Vodafone who have told me that it "SHOULD" be available for download this July (so not too long to wait) but can anyone point me in the direction of where to get it? or wil I just have to be patient...
Is it possible to extract the ROM update off my 3.3.0 device and reflash it onto the others?

It used to be one Vodafones website but they removed it a couple of days ago. I still have a copy though and I can upload it to a webserver if someone sends me ftp details.

Vodafone have a downlaod site for updates/firmware upgrades ? This just for Sweden ? Else anyone have the URL ? as vodafone.co.uk is pretty useless for device support.

I can confirm that the url on that blog is the officail vodafone rom I have as well.
The officail vodafone websites for ROMs is hidden at http://s131209249.online.de/vodafone_software/index.htm
They dont link to it from their website, they only send it to you if you need a rom. They dont post all roms on that site either, I will post the FTP link when I get home (wednesday) so you can browse with an ftp client and see all their roms (original, updates etc).

Can you still post the FTP link for Voda? I need either the launch ROM or update for the 1605 and I can't download it from rapidshare. For some reason rapidshare keeps telling me I'm already downloading something else from their site (I'm not) and I've been trying for days now.

Swedish Trinity ROM upgrade file?

I need to know if anyone's got the Swedish HTC Trinity P3600 ROM upgrade file to send to me, or if anyone know where to get one?
I've tried HTC's official page but there's an error when I push the downloadbutton after entering the S/N, file and mirror (I've tried the Europe, US and Asia mirror for this file, several times).
The file I'm looking for is called:
"windows_mobile_5_ROM_upgrade_swedish(1.23.413.2)"
I've even tried to send a email to the HTC support about this problem but after waiting a couple of days theres still no fix to this and not even a answer to my mail.

Indeed, but the file size is rather small (~50kb).

Well, my phone ISN'T BRANDED, I've bought it in an independent mobile phone shop, but I still can't seem to understand why it won't let me to download the upgrade.
Any ideas appreciated.

Then it seems like your phone IS branded. I'd contact HTC support, and also the shop you bought it from, if necessary.

I'm also downloading from EU and current filesize is 159MB. This is my 4th attempt, first file was 109 MB and was terminated at approx 80%(can't read from source..). 2nd and 3rd attempt, file was only 2,3MB big....
I hope this 159MB will be ok. However current speed is 32.0KB/s...

I tried the europe update but it didnt work and the us one is stuck at 18%

I downloaded the release from the US server, was much faster.

yeap.. i just installed 6.5 and run igo8 and works perfectly

This might be a dumb question, but if my phone is running WWE, is it running the UK Rom? Or is there an unbranded US Rom.
