Hello everybody,
Has anybody out there know how to change the sound notification for incoming MMS?? I've tried googling and forum search but did not find topics related yet.
I know with Smartphones, the sound notification for incoming MMS is the same as incoming mail, but it seems it is not the case with XDA2.
Also, is there other MMS application for the XDA2? an application that can link with the SMS/email inbox? Just like they did with the Smartphone edition?? The current MMS application is so slow to display the current inbox.
somebody asked the same question awhile agoe
the way to do it was to replace some wav file or something in mms composer's dir
try doing a search i'm sure you can find it

somebody said something about 2003SE having mms as a part of outlook like sms is today but i'm not positiv that it's true
Have anybody found the solution for
'using a wma file for my incoming SMS, but when a message arrives and i am reading it, the wma file just keeps playing. Can i set this in such a way that when i open the message, the music stops?'
crop the song.
??
wat do u mean by crop the songs?
I think crop means to make shorter.

They don't go in your rings folder they just go straight into the windows folder and then that way you can access them
sms notification
I have an xda2i, does anybody else's give off an sms sound but there is nothing in your inbox, no notification on screen but an sms has been sent to you?
I don´t know how you can choose wma ringtones for sms because when I put them in windows folder they simply aren´t displayed in the list. And I have another problem, when I receive an sms my Qtek 2020 doesn´t ring whatever is the ringtone I choose. It just makes one sound just like a single note. Anyone knows a fix or something else? My ROM version is 2.06.00WWE, Radio version is 1.14.00 and ExtROM is 2.06.100a.
Thanx
I use this phone as a pager, and I'd like to change the SMS text msg tone to something loud and annoying. How / where do you install new sms tones?
I'm running a Cingular 8125, and I'm about to upgrade firmware later tonight.
Thanks,
Dan
Place the wav file or whatever you are using in the \windows directory and it would show up on the list in settings\sounds & notifications
  Pager....
I'm an idiot... I was trying to use a .mid file and it appears it only will take a .wav.
Thanks!
Also works for the new HTC HD2.
just put the converted .wav file into the windows directory and presto.
now available in msg tone selection
How many of you have used a treo 650 or maybe 600. If you have then you will remember how cool it was to send sms (text) messages from that phone. For thos e you havnt used the tero, when send sms message it stored them in a Instant message configuration. So to my question or wish, does anyone know it there is a program for the 8125 (running wm 5) or 8525 (wm6) that will give me this capability ? I hate how the sms messages just pile up on the screen . Any help would be appreciated!
Hmmm, try doing a search for "threaded SMS app" - i don't think you'll have to look too far ;-)
Hi All
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to extract the text content of an SMS message to keep on a pc. Orange SPV M700

try SMS Import ( not sure where is the link )
or
Jeyo Mobile Extender
Or use something like www.mymobiler.com (free) to display the PDA screen on your PC, and then just copy and paste from the sms message
Thanks - I'll try that.
