SIM Unlock

Has anyone already tried the lokiwiz 0.3 Tool to get a SIM Code for unlocking the Artemis/Hero? I just want to check every other option, before paying imei-check.

i'm sorry, did not feel like trying it, this unlocker also installs Software on the Device before computing the SIM Unlock Code. I paid IMEI-Check.co.uk to do the job, which worked just fine. Sorry i can't deliver any new facts :/

Sim Unlock Progress
Hello,
is there anyone actively working on unlocking the HTC ARTEMIS (HERO)? If so, how far along are you? I would really prefer to support this site as opposed to paying imei-check. By the way, if imei-check has a solution this quickly, why don't we have one yet?

BTW - most Herlad, WIng and Terra don´t haveto be SIM unlocked.

I believe you have to upgradio your radio version or something, but pleas read the forum better, i believe there already was a topic about this.

Please explain "1 code to 1 person!". Do you mean 1 FREE code? If it is, why did you refuse my proposal? If it is not free, please give us a quotation. If it is not free, I hope it will not be "1 code to 1 person!" and the cost will not be more expensive than at imei-check.co.uk! Its not bad if you can provide such a service, but please give more details or indicate your website if you want to sell your service

How about you post more information about what you are trying to provide here ... $$ ..etc..?
In my opinion, I suggest you take "donations" instead of providing some pay service to do that .. .because everyone on XDA helps each other selflessly.
So when you come in here offering some pay service, I'd much rather just go to IMEI CHECK and pay them to do, because its a company, not some random guy who for all I know, can come in here, take our money and run.

You can ask any moderator who have access to donation statistic... all payemnts are going directly to xda-developers.com... not in my pocket.

Tupsie-doopsie, why don't you just pay for your ads and really contribute to this forum, instead of using free space to advertise and make money?

Nobody does anything here for money... people accept donations, but they also post their work and THEN ask for donations. If you have figured out how to SIM Unlock these phones,
I can easily call T-Mobile and have them unlock my device, but I'm willing to personally send you $100, and I'm sure some other people here might contribute something as well, if you upload your SIM Unlock tool or method.

Free Sim Unlock for Artemis, Again

Hello,
According to the Wiki the same application for Hermes can unlock the Artemis, but I have tried it several times and it does not work.
With one of them I got a "SIM Lock Code", but I entered it when I inserted another SIM and it said it was not valid. I tried again and wrong again. Since then every time it says that I have already tried twice to enter the Network code.
Is there a way to sim-unlock without paying the 28eur?
Is the structure of Artemis so much different than the other HTC?
Anyone accepting the challenge to adapt Pof's applications?

they just want to make some money, the code is a bit different.
i am waiting for a free unlocker also. not going to pay for it.
if it wont be released with 2 months, i can unlock it for free at my provider...

And it doesn't get locked after flashing a new rom!

MDA Compact III Sim unlock
Hi guys,
I recently purchased the imei-chech unlocker which worked great but cost me £20 . A few months later the phone developed a power problem, so I got it replaced under warranty. Which meant my new phone needed unlocking. DOH!
My question is if I post the unl. file with my old IMEI number in it can any programmers out there modify the file to accept a different imei. I have the software to unlock the MDA it just requires a unl. file with the correct IMEI.

does anyone have any idea why there is a temporary unlock but not a complete sim and cid unlock, surely there all pointing in the same direction. Not a programmer wish i was and knew where to look im already unlocked but still feel ur pain lol

I think your mistaken, operator branded phones usually come sim locked, I assume it is the operator codes you are supplying tupisdin.

only operator thats signed up so far is o2, and theirs is unlocked as well

dont bother yourself, it will comeout soon the unlocker for all those htc products. for example the htc cheetah, i unlock already 15 units but there is not yet possible solution there in the forum of cheetah but thanks Olipro for the hardwork.

Swiss version from sunrise is sim unlocked.
And this site is about developing for free.
Will chat with the mods about the general subject of making money through the site and the site getting nothing for it as well as users getting ripped off.

As the Blackstone is an old phone, perhaps the telco will be willing to unlock for you free.
Perhaps you can try calling your telco and ask them to unlock for you. Or HTC distributor in your area? I saw on some forums where members had successfully approached their telco and got their older phones unlocked.
As a matter of interest, I googled "how to unlock htc blackstone free".
