Touch "Cube" - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

Is there any development going on for Touch Cube? I just upgraded using the Helmi rom and love it.....the only thing missing is the cube.

My best shout: try one of the flash cubes.

Any link? user reviews etc?

go to the search tab to the far right and search under the main body without any categories selected for the word "touch".... Try searching alot before posting please.

touch screens?? Which system is best? I have fat fingers!

Which is better? I would like to have a system that I could use with my fat fingers instead of having to pull the pen out all the time to operate the wing.
I prefer not to have to load and test each of the different options. I know there is a lot of personal likes and dislikes about the different ones. Which has been the stable, most perfected, least of a memory hog??
Most of all I have thick fingers tips. And I don't want to use the pen for everything.
Try installing POCKETCM keyboard for keyboard purposes....
I would definitely suggest using one of the TouchFlo roms so you can scroll your contact list ... if not, the PocketCM guys have something similiar, but not as nice as the touchflo.

to get the cube to work simply slide your finger from top scrollbar to the bottom one as described in this thread

Hello !
I'm quite new here. I'm reading the forum for one week and succeeded to flash my S200. Now I'm interested in other programs. As I see roms come with some installed programs but you can download cab files and install it separately. The only problem is that I cant find descriptions for this programs, so I don’t know what they exactly do. I spent one hour for cube and touchflo to got some idea.... Is there any post or page where this programs are explained?

New HTC P4350 Skins and/or UI

Hi All,
I'm new here, and just Registered. I haven't yet familiarised myself with this forum so if I'm posting in the wrong section or double posting, I do apologise before-hand.
I'm wondering if anyone can possibly please help me- I'm in desperate need of a new skin or two for my HTC P4530 - I'm quite tired of the three Windows Mobile 6.0 Skins and the HTC Default skin!
Does anyone know where I could download or get some new skins? Even a way to customise and make/create my own?
Secondly with there being a vast amount of HTC wizards out there- I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to customise and change the HTC Home Screen to that of the newer HTC Modules like the HTC TyTN II or HTC Touch with that new User Interface, is it possible- I really love the colour scheme and its look!
So if anyone can help me or point me in a step towards the right direction, I'd really apprectiate it! Hope to learn alot from browsing these forums!
Thanks!!

[Q] Got new Touch HD - Now what?

Hello to all,
I took the plunge today and despite being very very tempted at getting myself an iphone 3g I decided to get myself a Touch HD. Been spending a few days reading about the Touch HD and it sounds great. Must say I love the look and feel of it, although it's a little on the wide side for my hand.
This is my first WinMo ever and I'm very lost at what to do. I like to tweak and around a mess with my windows installation on my pc, but I just don't know where to start with the Touch HD.
It may sound kind of stupid, but I decided that what's probably best for me is to start this thread (of course after having done a search to see that no other similar thread already exist) and to ask you guys to share some of the things that you first did to your Touch HD when you got it. ie. What are the first few things to do to improve/enhance the experience with the phone.
Thank you all in advance and looking forward to your replies.
PS. English isn't my first language so I apologize if I'm being unclear or if I'm being repetitive.
Grats on the purchase. Where did you buy it from?
That's some fine English for it not being your first language.
Hi, I'm in the same boat as you, although I've had my HD for a few days now. I'm just getting to grips with it, and am now at the point where I feel like I should play around with ROMs. Haven't a clue where to start though, but have had a good read of the wiki.
Good luck with it, and enjoy it.
Welcome to HD world !
Here is my list of applications: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3117017&highlight=secondtoday#post3117017
As a long-term PocketBreeze user (I assume you know about Today Plugins?) I found the restriction of TF3D to be irritating. If you don't know, TF3D will not allow any other today plugins to run.
But, SecondToday is great - this gives you a second today screen on which you can run any number of plugins.
Also, for me a big help, is AEB+ for mapping buttons.
I also have lots of tweaks to the TF3D setup - see the app list in the thread above.
Good luck and enjoy !
Take a look at the apps and themes forum.
That's a good place to start at...

Got my Touch HD ~a week ago, my second Win Mo device.
First I would recommend installing a different rom, I went with Duttys 1.7 rom, my HD got a nice performance boost, the Wiki here explains how to do this.
After that I configured all the settings to my liking.
Installed all HTC Fixes.
Then I browsed the Themes and software forum for the blackstone, after awhile I have these installed on my HD:
- HD Tweak (a must have with the HD imo, customize the HD even further and access lots of other tweaks)
- Advanced Configuration Tool 3.2 (pretty much the same as above^)
- Diamond D3D driver (speed up the graphics for the HD)
- Diamond Saber (fun wnb-a-jedi lightsaber software)
- FInixNOverBatteryIcon (Replace the original battery icon with a color changing one and showing the load %)
- Gyrator 2 (rotate the screen when you rotate your HD)
- IPC Black Dialer (black phone application theme)
- IPC black Calculator (black calc theme)
- MyLostBlog MyStopWatch (great stopwatch software)
- Navigon 7 (GPS navigation)
- Tnyynt SD TuneUP (make the HD faster, can't remember how though )
- TouchResponse (vibrates the HD everytime you touch the screen, very useful)
- Weather Database Editor (add your own city to the weather tab)
+ some theme customization and such
Noticed also some great apps in other posts here, thanks for the tips
Wow this forum is certainly very active and helpful.
Thank you guys so much, I'm going to start working on my HD later tonight after I finish work (yeah it's a Sunday and I still have to work )
@ModernMuseum I'm from Lao PDR and I bought it here in Laos, though from the looks of it I think the phone is actually from Italy or something since the user manual is in Italian (or so it seems) and no English manual at all.
PS. any further comments/suggestions/sharing of experience are still welcome

Please can you give me the link for wiki on how to install duttys 1.7 rom? Will I lose everything that's installed on my HTC HD if I install a new rom?
Also, do you only ever install 1 rom at a time, or can you have more than one? Sorry if that's a really stupid question...
Thank you.

Yes you will lose all your data, only 1 rom can be installed at a time.
These should get you going:

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Flash1
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_BLackstone_Flash2
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Flash3
Check out the list of ROMs available if you want something other than Dutty's ROM . There are many to choose from. Also before you do any modifications, install HSPL or USPL if you want to do any ROM flashing, since you can flash as many times as you want, but not have more than one ROM on.

Turn tf3d with g sensor

hey, I'm new to the forum, and have never tried any mods or anything, but I found out that I can turn the screen of my phone around from the meny, but each time I go out in touch flo again, it turns back.. is there a way to make touch flo and windows to turn as I turn the phone? using G-sensor, like with images Sorry if this has been posted before, but I tried a search, and thanks for answers or links to answers
The stock TF3D is simply not designed to work in landscape (you get ugly stripes on the right third of the display if you try...).

He's correct, since it sounds like you're on a stock ROM, you will not be able to do this since you have the 'old' manila. You would have to flash your phone to one of the cooked ROMs which has the new manila which (among other things/improvements) supports landscape. For more information, go to the Blackstone>Rom Development section of xda and read up on the stuff through the wiki.
any special roms you would recomend? I heard about the tf3d2.. sounds interesting! got a link to a rom that is made off that one?
Once again, "go to the Blackstone>Rom Development section of xda and read up on the stuff through the wiki." You'll find everything you need there, almost every ROM cooked in the last couple months has the new manila, not to mention that the cooks clearly state in their thread which manila their ROM is using, so you will have no problem finding what you want. Even moreso, there are threads in the ROM section which break down the different ROMs by various categories, including manila used.
