Maybe anybody know how to paste text from another application etc note or word, when writing SMS?
Method 1: Press and hold stylus in Message text field and select Paste
Method 2: On your virtual keyboard select 'Ctrl' + 'V'
Thanks. Anything software can show that's in menu? I mean I don't use stylus or touchscreeen.
If you don´t use keyboard or touchscreen, why do you have a pocket pc?
Get AEButtonplus and assign one hardware button to copy and another to paste. I use the email and IE hardware buttons...

How do you do copy/paste while typing on the external Keyboard of the HTC Tytn ?
On the Softward keyboard included in WM5, you have 'Ctrl' so you can simply do a copy/paste by typing Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V. But from the external keyboard, how do you do a copy/paste ?
Use PQz
V
I tried PQzII, but it seems to be very buggy: because of it the capital shift does not work properly anymore and sometimes when I press on the space bar to change a 'e' to a 'é' I just can't. An other thing is that I can not, use the button of Pocket Music when PQzII is used (when I quit PQzII I can use the hardware button again).
Are there any other way to have a copy/paste from the external keyboard?
Can some1 confirm PQzII can do copy paste? I tried but did not work, I set WIN as ctrl, then try in notepad with WIN+C then WIN+V but nothing happend.
Anyone knows how can I preform copy/cut/paste when using the hardware keyboard without going to the soft button in application that support that or using the stylus ?
I found that using the "Shift" with the right/left arrows will select the text but can't continue from here.
Thanks
Anyone ??? , It's annoying to get the stylus just for that when typing text....
Yah it would be nice to find a way to do this. Maybe someone can map copy/cut/paste to a keypress combinatiom?
I think VJKeyPress can emulate copy and paste, but the better solution is to use PHM's tools to emulate copy/paste. However, due to the fact that you're emulating a keypress (ctrl+c) while pressing another hardware key, from memory it used to confuse the system a little. But give it a go.
V
I am using full qwerty to input text and it is rather fast.
But sometimes I need to execute the CTRL+A combination (to select all the message texts lines for further editing/deleting/etc).
How to do it?
Thanks a lot!

HTC phones currently dont have multitouch screens.. so this kind of key combinations cannot be done
Don't have multitouch, but in "classic" keyboard (not the fine HTC one, easy to use with finger), there is a CTRL key: press it, it's selected then press A for Select All, C to cut, V to paste, ...
But it can be done only in the classic mode. The nice and big HTC input don't have a CTRL key: it's a shame!
i find using stylus to select some txt quiet convient, and to select all, do menu/edit/select all

well that's the trade off, if you want all those optional random keys, ctrl, alt, this, that. then your main keyboard won't be "nice and big" and finger friendly.
i just press-hold the screen until the pop up menu appears then select er select all

Yes it works but not in all softwares, and not in many textbox, user input field.
thanks to all of you!
I am very happy to have found the solution to replace CTRL-A: just tap and hold the screen, as some of you adviced.
One more question: how to implement CTRL C (copy) and CTRL V (paste)?
Thanks

Same as above, once you have something selected, tap'n'hold, chose cut/copy, then tap'n'hold, choose paste.
Easy
Thanks Gadge!
One more (probably silly) question: why in my kaiser I can select some messages in INBOX (to delete them for example) by simply swiping my stylus-pen and here, on Touch HH, I cannot? Is it because of implementation of touch flo?
Thanks again!

Uhm, first... that's one nasty Avatar! Looks like Homer Simpson!
For your issue, you can use a different SIP that has copy\paste or usually if you hold down on the item a sub menu will appear to "make selection" and you can copy from there.
I got to go throw up now.....

Look for fingerboard in the forums.
I believe it has copy\paste and its free.
I use touchpal but its not freeware.
Did you try to hold down on word to get a sub menu?
Use Resco explorer or Total commander.

He is trying to copy text not files.
I'm not sure, but I think last version of Resco explorer can copy-paste texts.

Hi, Bruce. as i said, i can copy the text to clipboard from word (by holding for submenu), but cannot paste into the text input box in wireless settings. clicking + holding here does not bring any submenu to paste. will have a look for fingerboard.

Find Fingerkeyboard here. You may want to read the last few posts as they were related to TD2 issues.
Another thing you can do is find something like Pocket Controller that gives you this function from your PC screen.
It is a phone emulator on your PC that allows you to manipulate the phone with your mouse. It has clipboard functionality for all screens and menus.
Bruce has pretty much mentioned the only way i can think of. (besides using a pen...u know, those things u write on paper with...to ..like...note down all the characters... hehe)
fingerboard will do the trick.
Thanks, guys
thx for the help. now got fingerboard. will give it a go. re - pen, tried inputting wireless key manually with stock keyboard and stylus, but i use buffalo router with AOSS key, 63 random hex keys. just one slip and it's "here we go again!!!" just tryin to make life easy.

just put the cursor in the field and long hold...probably popup menu will popup.
I do that all the time with phone numbers.
How to use CRTL keys with these embedded keyboards? For example, copy/paste .. CRTL C and CRTL V ..
I hope this is not the W7 style ..
I don't think any software-keyboard WM device has had CTRL keys on-screen, historically because of the lack of multi-touch on resistive screens I imagine. You'll just have to tap-and-hold to cut and paste, I'm afraid.

Thanks for your reply, but tap-and-hold doesn't work i.e. on calendar. How do you copy or duplicate events?
You are correct- most times you need to paste (such as entering long registration codes etc) the entry boxs don't have a paste option, though its worth tapping/holding just in case a context menu pops up.
The original WinMo keyboard did have a 'Ctrl' key but most of the current ones don't. One that does, and happily one that works in the HD Mini's screen resolution is SPB Keyboard. This has a 'Ctrl' key on the main keyboard.
