Wondering if there is any application or development in xda-developers that looks into sync Yahoo, Google or MSN contacts/addessbook and calendars/appointment to Windows Mobile for offline usage.
Currently, I am using Yahoo as my primary online usage. There is a recent application from Yahoo Go! that allows me to sync address/contact to my WM but NOT the calendar/appointment.
It would be great if I can do similar to the rest of Google and MSN as well.

Google Calendar sync is on the todo of OtO (look in sig) I can't promise when but I need it so i'll do it, probably after the basic views are done so in a version or two
several options
there are several options for that already:
check out oggsync for example: http://oggsync.com/
You could also try plaxo, www.plaxo.com they can sync with most of those you want and it can be synced to wm via outlook or via a new plugin installed on your pda that they have on labs.plaxo.com (currently only contacts though).
Its based on technology from www.funambol.com which also seems like it might do it, but I can't get an invite to try out their service.

You can now access your Google Calendar account from your mobile phone! Just visit mobile.google.com/calendar/ with your phone's web browser and once you're logged in, you'll see your list of upcoming events with date and time information in an easy-to-browse format.

Hello,
I would like to know if somthings exists (like ActiveSync) to synchronise your contacts and Calendar with Gmail ?
AFAIK this is the best thing so far...
I've read that there's a team at Google workign on this already but for now we have this:
http://www.grinn.net/blog/dev/2006/04/incorporate-google-calendar-into.html
I watched the link you sent me but the sync is a one way sync from google calendar to Outlook and then to your PDA. It seems to be the only thing existing for the moment.
Waiting for Google to correct this has they always do
I found this adress from google, listing all the APIs you can use to make applications working with the Google web sites and softs :
<http://code.google.com>
It could be useful to someone if he wants to make this kind of synch tool...
It seems rather weird that if you were to key in appointments on your phone which will not be appearing on the google calendar. It be a good idea to have your calendar to be published onto a website where everyone can see your schedule (if you let them) or at least they wil know when you will be busy or not.
Even the google works, you still need to have a google account to view the time table.

Has anyone been able to successfully sync with Google Calendar? I'd like to try goosync.com but I wasn't sure if it was a reliable service. Over the air syncing is a great feature id like...
I found this today, and it works for me.

Not enough experience to know how it handles conflicts.
I did notice that my google calendar synced up to my wm5 calendar, and my wm5 calendar synced to my groupwise calender (via intellisync mobile suite).
So looks good!
Try this instead..the freeware version suites my needs fine...no third party..just the phone and google calendar..and supports repeating events which some of the others don't...
http://oggsync.com/
Has both an installer and a cab.
Any luck using oggsync with WM6
Has anyone had any luck using oggsync with WM6? I am having problems getting it to connect and was wondering if anyone had a fix for this yet? Thanks for reading.
i used goosync or whatever its called a while back and had to uninstall it. i had duplicates of every event in my calender. each time i synced it would just make another copy. not to mention the billions off notification reminders. i had to end up erasing everything and starting from scratch.
that was my personal experirence

Hello, I am new to HTC mobile, I used to use Nokia N95 8G in last 2 years.
Just got a HTC touch HD within a week.
I just wonder
Is there any possible that I can synchronize Google Calendar with Blackstone?
I am appreciated with your help here.
Thx.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
iMrD
You have a lot of solutions to do that :
- Using Microsoft Office, you can sync it with Google Calendar with an official Google Sync app (available on Google website). Unfortunately, this app can only sync your main calendar.
- Using Thunderbird, there exists a nice (not free ) app which is BirdieSync. It allows you to sync every calendar in Thunderbird lightning or sunbird with your mobile phone. You just have to access with TB lightning or Sunbird your google calendars (with an extension, like Google Provider for Sunbird)
- If you do not want to use a desktop application, you can use the Google sync new feature which allows you to use Google Calendar as an Exchange server. Again, this way only syncs your main calendar.
- Last but not least, you can use nuevasync (nuevasync.com) service. This is like a bridge between Google Calendar and your mobile, using an exchange server. This is free (but for how long ?) because this is a beta application but I use it everyday without trouble. This make synchronization with Google Calendar very easy through a data connection.
I hope this will help you.
Here is the link to the google sync feature: http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/
You can sync directly using activesync:
Add Server Source
Enter email address
Untick "attempt to detect Exchange server"
NEXT
Server address is m.google.com
NEXT
user name is your mail address again.
NEXT
uncheck e-mail and tasks
FINISH

OggSync
I use Ogg sync Pro which does multiple calendars and contacts, works great for me
Have to pay though for the Pro version

Here - look for "sync" on the original link.

No download as such... you just need to add the correct setting via the activesync app on the phone itself... Detailed instructions can be found here... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=56959&highlight=google+sync
