SMS lock

hi, is there an application that I can use so that a password is needed to access my sms folders?

Try 'smart inbox'. Search on the net for link

But it replaces the default/original SMS Inbox and uses its own Inbox.. i just want to stick with the default MS inbox.

You could try this from www.zedsoft.net its called smsorganizer. It has similar features to smart inbox and uses the default inbox. The downside is it doesnt lock the inbox but it does hide any confidential sms you may get :wink:
On a side note does anyone know of any software like this that works with wm5?

does any1 know how this guy makes his program send u a msg telling to the d/l the latest version when you try using the program?
ie i went to start smsorganizer today, and it doesnt start, but comes up with a pop up asking to check the website for the latest version...
how does anevemkovacs get the program to do that ?
does he have access to control the program even though i haven't been online for months...

can i use 4 xdaII

jsut backup(via spb backup) and remove all the msgs of 30, 31 and 1st date and reinstall the application.

Lock SMS Inbox.

I need to lock my sms inbox.. Is it possible to do that in WM5? maybe put a password on it or something like that.

RJV SecureInbox 2002, was an app for WM 2002/03 SE phone edition. They may have continued development, search for that app and see if you can find any WM5 progress because that app did exactly what you wanted.

I've found the cab file and installed it but unfortunately it doesnt lock the inbox. There any other applications?

Tired of google's answers now ;/ damn hard to find a solution for this...

nah, cant lock the whole device.. my gf need to made some calls from my "free" phone when i got my spare nokia 7380 but i don't want her to read all my sms...

I use SMSorganizer to backup my inbox (text/mms) using the export function in case my rom update doesn't go to well.
You could export your text inbox and delete them, at the end of the day you could restore them.

Try Device Application Locker (DAL)..google around a bit!!

Soft reject software?

Anybody using a good soft reject software? Which can send an automated SMS back? I was using Call Assitant 1.0 but its gving me problem after the ROM upgrade. Anyone know or use a nice workable one, preferably free? Thanks.

Thanks for the prog. Works fine - as of now. Only that the Call Assistant had more options, like chosing which numbers to send eg some land line numbers here don't receive SMS so you could predifine those types of numbers, several "profiles". Anyway until I find a right replacement this should do.

Is there some kind of a cab file that i could use to lock my messages?
i really dont want to lock the whole phone, since people are always checking out my phone i just dont want them to go into the inbox and read my msgs!

If you are on WM2003SE,go for Smartlock..Undoubtedly the best one..
If you are on WM2k5/2k6, you have a few options like Eye on Privacy,SMS Security or the latest in the market "SKB PIM Safety Suite".
As you must have guessed all of them are non-free softwares.If you are looking for a free software, the only one I can think about is smsOrganizer.It has a version for WM2003SE as well as WM2k5..Hope that helps!!

eye on privacy is a good one, you can lock phone functions, dialing, messages, call logs, contacts, calender, tasks, or notes individually. And for the especially paranoid you can send yourself fake sms or urgent sms to people in case you are being kidnapped or something lol. Theres also the abilty to create a fake password which opens your messages but hides texts from specific people if you wanted. Almost like its for people who cheat on their significant other. Anyway pm me for more info on where to get it

The only problem of Eye on Privacy is that by stopping the service which loads the security options, everything becomes available. so it's not a good protection for advanced invaders...

Blocking SMS and CallBlocking.

Ok before i used a program like SPB Phone Suite to block phonecalls my question is, Can we block SMS texts from single users ? i would like to be able to block texts and phonecalls from certain people. Is there a way i can add a filter like the filters you find for file types? last resort is getting another huge program like and of the SPB software.

I'm also interested in a feature like this. Quite a few annoying ex-girlfriends that like to text me randomly for no apparent reason.

exactly my point i have the same problem or friends who dont get the hint.

T-Mobile says no
According to T-mobile, there is no way to selectively block SMS messages. This is especially troublesome, given that advertisers (and others I don't care for) are starting to send messages to T-Mo phones using SMS (they know they can't be blocked) and I have to pay for them!

All you have to do (to stop advertising) is reply with: Stop
If you are in the USA:
By law, advertisers have to cease and desist all communications when you tell them to stop. If they don't, its considered harassment and you can file a complaint with the FTC or even sue the company for harassment.
I know this because I was being harassed by an advertiser and I had to file a complaint.

all it took me to was a make money page sure theres talk of sms blockers etc but the link is a get paid online no download newhere

Reply with STOP didnt seem working to me, those advertising still do come.... and that is costing me $$. And the bad thing is - you don't even know who are they, the caller is show 3700 3701 3702 etc ....

mail me you can ask tmobile to block certain numbers. But i am looking for a phone based application to block sms and calls or hide them and reply with a sms like blocked... that you can selectivly block or unblock. So the sms's will still come just not show. i have unlimited texts so its not a matter of getting the texts i just dont want to be annoyed or called by these people.
lol well if somebody with any knowledge on how to surpress phone calls and or sms/mms's know how to do this maybe they can make a freeware app.... spb phone suite was ok but it is large and alot of the time causes phones to go into a boot loop if you dont remove your memory card.

I found this program it allows to blacklist SMS messages i have not tried put it to use by actually knowing if it works but there is a blacklist feature in it. By category, individual contact, and phone number. For those who are trying to stop getting texts from certain numbers ie 4-5 digit spammers you can infact call tmobile and have a number blocked. i have a family plan and my brother kept texting without a text plan i asked if you can block texts all together and CS said no they can halt from single numbers.
Also once again thanks to all the senior members for all of their help *sarcastic laugh*
Also this allows for exporting and many other features if you view the website of the maker it has SS's

i was going to suggest this. love the app! i just wish it was able to do it without being loaded..but it works so thats what matters!

MAGICALL
Call firewall is ok, but I like magicall myself. You can black specific phone numbers/SMS. Also you can have the program auto respond via sms and you can set it up to ignore/hang up/pick up and hang up on certain numbers. Overall GREAT program.

do you remeber the days when text messaging was free? my nokia brick was my texting machine back in those days lol, and then it was incoming texts free and you only get charged per outgoing, now tmo and everyone else just charges u for whatever packet goes in and out of your phone these days. since pocket pc's and smartphones are running windows mobile it can intercept calls before it gets to the dialer and intercept texts before it gets into the box, all it does it save you the annoyance of "seeing" the calls come in and will hit ignore for you same with text, but i think you still get charged per incoming text even if sms filter stops it on the phone.
