I have a hw6945, spent a few hours reading diff threads people succesfully flashing french roms on 6945. I need a spanish rom, tried using the spanish rom update for 6910/5 from hp but it dosnt let me flash since mines is a 6945, is there a work around to this utility, a way to force the flash, has anyone succesfully flashed 6945 to spanish? I have a 128MB dum of my rom if that helps. If theres a thread that solved this problem already please refer me to it.

I found a German ROM for my o2 XDA on the FTP site - here is the link...

Maybe it isnt what you are lookng for, but it got me out of a pinch today.

i have found the rom.And have try it.I can only boot in booloader mode.Nothing else work.If i activate bootloader mode and plug in the usb cable i hear the sound that usb is connected.But if i start the original rom update it doesn't recognize the phone. Error 260 appears Verbindung(connection)
I also had to load this rom from bootloader. If the rom doesnt see the phone, restart the phone into bootloader again. I noticed that if it tried to find the phone once and couldnt, it would not ever be able to unless I reset the phone and put it back in bootloader. this rom will work, just keep playing with it.

there should be some question answered for the ROM inside the archive <P3300_softwareupdate_GER.zip> before flashing.
1. Is the Rom an Original HTC 3300 ROM? (with TomTom inside)
2. Is this ROM WM5 or WM6? (nobody answered that question yet)
3. Which file inside the arcive should be used?
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_1.exe> or
<P3300_softwareupdate_GER_2.exe> or both
4. In which order should I use that two files?
As long as these question are`t answered, everybody should keep the fingers away from flashing, because he did`t know, what he is doing. Some help from a "guru" would be helpfully. =

Hi folks, compared to another devices listed on xda-developers I do not find many links and information about the WM6 upgrade for Herald. I know that I have to go for it at the HTC Club, but before that I like to use your brains and find out, whether it is possible to flash a worldwide english firmware onto a german Herald - and where to get it? (I guess at HTC club I'll get the german version, but I like to have the english one)

there are a gazzilion topics regarding this matter.
If you want to flash other language to your phone go to www.imei-check.co.uk/heraldunlock.php, pay the guys wait a few minutes follow instructions download WWE RUU and flash.
HI, you have the possibility to flash any WM6 rom to your device, if you searched for "asergs.cab" or simply read the Topic about the Touch-IT or PDAVIET rom...
BUT: HTC´s Romupdates won´t work in different languages
It is not impossible anymore, but you really have to read 4 yourself to get it working
And remember: If the process fails, you need to have a WM6 rom of your language to unbrick your Herald again !!!

I've tried to update my HTC3600, by using the "WM6 Official - Any Device" from http://trinityguide.info, and it just doesn't work... I have updated Hard-SPL, and then tried to apply "Official Dopod ROM" ... the only thing it did was to revert my Radio-ROM back to 1.46.xxx (from 1.50.xxx i had before)...
But the OS was never updated to WM6... I have tried a bunch of different WM6 ROMs now during the weekend, nothing has helped... even tried some application to unlock CID (what is it actually ???).
The only thing I've managed is to update my own OS using the official swedish ROM (I've bought my HTC in sweden). And i've been able to update my Radio ROM to 1.46.xxx, 1.50.xxx.. as well as installing different HARD-SPL.
But i've so far not been able to install ANY WM6, or WM5 cooked ROM's .. so pleaaaaaaase help my guides... I'm starting to go nuts over this...

Yes, As long as your device is unlocked then you can install any rom on it (made for the topaz). If someone makes a portuguese rom then you can flash it, or english, or russian, or any other language. The rom just needs to be made for the device.
you will need Hspl for this to work. if you dont have hspl you will simply get an error saying that its an invalid vendor id and ur device will just restart.
Is ther any manual for doing that. How can i get the official portuguese rom? Thank you.

here is the hspl witch can be found on the rom development section for topaz(TD2) follow the instructions on the page below. after you have successfully installed the hspl, u can now install what ever rom u want for topaz. hope this helps

From Portugal. It works good. First i installed Hspl then i get the official portuguese rom and installed and is ptretty fine on my d2. I only have installed yesterday by nigth
