I from TW, cause I want to add an Chinese System to my ROM kitchen, but I cant find a way to, I dont have linux/unix, and cant find a way to do under windows, anyone can help? thanks!

cause only monster chinese 2003 can run on wm2003se for xda1, and this old version can not be download from mactiontech.com now, would you mind if i send this for you?

Today T-Mobile Germany released their official ROMUpdate to WM2003
It´s the Version 4.01.19.
I didn´t test it myself, but added already to the kitchen.
So guys. Try it out and report me about the new ROM....

The wmodem appication is included.
I cann´t say it exactly, but the help file only talks about serial and infrared, so i think, there is no USB...

WHich Radio Stack version is incorporated?
Still 4.21 or is it a higher one? how can I distinguish this from the RSU upgrade file?

I did:
From there go to your Start folder inside the Windows folder. From there find the link to the RSUpgrade file and delete it. (Don't worry about deleting a file, this is just a link to it and we will re-install a good copy of this file)
Now, restart your PDA. It should return to your normal desktop but with no phone connection as the Radio Stack is not installed. From here, place it back on it's cradle/usb connection.
Just as stated above by Matt, you need a copy of the RSUpgade installation or a ROM upgrade insallation that includes the RSUpgrade. Unpack this, I used Winzip to do this. Find these files:
monitor_ul_bs.m0
monitor_ul_bs.map
RSUpgrade.cp64
RSUPgrade.exe
Now, using Activesync, explore to your Windows folder on your XDA and copy those files from your Computer to there. They must over write all the old files.
Disconnect from your PC and run the RSUPgrade.exe file from file manager. It worked 10 for 10 when I did it this way so it should work for you also.
and ended up with radio stack 3.23.11 Protokoll 32S54

Only the AutoStart folder is not correct:
-Handsfree(.exe)
-poutlook
-SMSReceiver(.exe)
-Ussd(.exe)
This files (.ece) are now DLL's - I think the are called by a nother app.

if you have the german rom but do not want the o2 software, you could try hard resetting the device (provided that you' ve backed up all your data and cabs from windows/) and then when it finishes booting and says that it will start customisation you could soft reset it. that way all o2 software will not be installed. that worked with my previous t-mobile branded ppcs.

I already tried so, but O²-homezone still got installed.
So your suggestion unfortunately isn't really a solution.
strange. sorry to hear. if i think iof something else i'll let u know.probable checked it but would you by any chance be able to remove the o2 homezone from settings/ remove programs?
Unfortunately there is no entry named homezone in settings/remove programs. I think this is because homezone and the other O²-programms is installed before the installation process can be stoped with a soft reset.

You probably cannot just download WM6 for that device. If you want WM6 you will need to cook a rom (create a rom for your device) or get someone else to do.

How difficult is it to cook a rom? I have basically no experience in this area, but I am desparate for a rom for the dell axim x51 (not 51v).

A also have the a HTC Touch Cruise with a norwegian rom, I'd be happy to dump the rom if it's somehow possible.
Unless i have to void my warranty, i'll be glad to help you get an Norwegian ROM out of my device which i recieved last Friday.

Hmmm... when I'm trying to sync using ActiveSync (against our Exchange server) I get the errormessage: Not enough memory with Errorcode: 0x8007000E... And this is right after flashing my Polaris. I have 58 MB free for programs, so that shouldn't be the problem.

I'm working on dumping original factory ROM, but some info from pdaclan.com on how they went about things for the ipaq 610/612/614 would be useful. Unfortunately I don't read chinese.
At this point, I'm trying to figure out if we need a patched IPL/SPL to accept an unsigned OS.
I'm a first time cook, and not eager to brick my phone anytime soon.

Thanks. My main question is whether a patched IPL/SPL is *always* required, or just sometimes. The IPAQ 910c comes SIM unlocked. But I'm afraid of what will happen if I just try downloading a cooked Flash.nb0 file striaght to the device (via the method at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459123)
