Alarm clock !? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

Hey guy my alarm clock wont repeat the sound just plays it once, i've check the repeat box it wont work .
could any one recommend my a good alarm program for ppc that would play mp3's and such .
Thanks

I like pTravel Alarm

the alarm will repeat after a few minutes.
anyways, so far there aren't really any decent alarm clocks for windows mobile. Hope that someone programs one. pTravelAlarm is okay, but its big. almost 3mb for just an alarm clock?

try SPB-Time

SPB time is good as well. But then again, almost 3mb.
wish someone would program a finger friendly alarm clock that's less than 500kb *hint*
a basic theme would be ok, i mean come on... when the alarm goes off, you'd put it back to snooze. and you cant even barely see yet see you're like half asleep. GUI doesnt have to be nice, since you'll just look at it for 1 sec

Wolfclock
http://wolfclock.en.softonic.com/pocket
free, repeating alarms, works on BA Wm2003se and Wm5/Wm6
as well as the wm5/wm6 Hermes
Customisable backdrops
I use this with my other BA that is not in use for it's general purpose
it sits on my bedside night table on the charging cradle running this app as an alarm clock hehe

PoketWakeup (freeware) or Chronos (comercial)

http://page.freett.com/todamitsu/AlarmClockE.htm is nice
but the thing is you can only set alarm for 1 alarm. No presets

is it possible to make stock alarm clock play mp3's ?

impossible ?

good alarm clock program?

does anyone know a good alarm clock program?
cuz the built in alarm clock sucks!
all it does is make a little low dot noise, grrr
i was late for work today cuz of it, i woke up an hr later wonder what that noise was, >_< lol
and where do i change the alarm tone?
all i see is the reminder tones.
and the wav files i set in, isn't showing up on the list, pcm conversion too!
grr
I use PocketWakeUp, because I had problems with my stock T-Mobile Rom and the WM5 alarm program (who doesn't!).
Although (one day, by accident) I noticed that the alarm of WM5 worked like it should on my Qtek 2.18 Rom
Check out the attachment, but if I am right there should be a topic called something like "Reliable Alarm Project", you should check that out to.
But for me PocketWakeUp works great and is one of the must-have apps on my device.
excellent log !
this program is free right?
thanks!

getting an mp3 for alarm sound

so i'm using jwright's newest rom, wondering if anyone is able use an mp3 for thier alarm tone?
it'd be cool, [email protected]
set it to be your calender notification and make an appointment with an appropriate time and reminder period. you can't do it in the clock settings.

Don't use SBP time - it doesn't like WM6
it's so hard to wake up to music on the uni...
Try PocketMusic player, i use it to stream from my network, it also has an alarm clock built in that will play your selected track.

Alternative alarm clock

I'm after a 3rd party alarm clock for my device.
Although the standard one works, I would like to be able to have the alarm sound with a random track from my MP3 directory.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I think Mortplayer has that functionality. I use it as my alarm, but not random tracks though.

Yeah, I've seen Mortplayer but I really liked the randomise feature when I used to use PocketMusic bundle on my old Wizzard, but it doesn't seem to wake the Hermes up properly.
Try enAlarm, you can find it here:
http://www.maik-wiege.de/en/enalarmppc/
I think you can not add the directory itself, but you can add several mp3 files and then can play these files randomly.
I'm not trying to hijack your thread but u also see the problem with the normal alarm not waking the hermes up properly. I think its a general windows mobile problem.
I wish window mobile alarms were as dependable as the palm os alarms lol.

enAlarm is an alarm clock, its not for alerts on meetings and so on. I never missed an alarm with it, even if its not running in the background. It can handle a locked and sleeping hermes too without any problems.

Request Alarm Clock Fix

Hi all, I'm new to posting here, but have been snooping about getting all the good bits for my BA for a while. So thanks very much for that!
I've recently upgraded to WM6 and noticed that the alarm clock is almost exactly the same as the one for WM2003SE, but for one small difference. The alarm clock repeat is so far apart that there is next to no point repeating it. I'm a heavy sleeper and need something that constantly goes off to wake me up. I used the alarm clock on my BA for a year or so without it ever failing.
I've read through the other threads; here and here; and I've decided that instead of adding to my BA's memory usage etc, I would prefer it if there was a little fix which would just go in and find where the alarm program is, and change the repeat time to maybe 2 seconds after it finishes playing? Is that possible?
Many thanks!
Heya,
I've sent you a private message as well, but the best opp for this is SPB Time, the only problem is that it isn't for free...
But this does it all, it wakes you with 2 big buttons on screen, snooze and dismiss and you can just select no matter which MP3 on your device and select repeat times or number of repeats and even plan for a whole month if you like...
Greetz
Or if you are a music lover.
Try Pocket Music Plus.
It is a commercial software too and it uses your playlist as the alarm melody.
sent you a pm.
Thanks to both of you. I'll look in to them both and see which I prefer.
I was really after a fix for the current alarm clock, asit used to work great in wm2003SE, apart from teh occasional bug if one alarm over ran another it would crash.... But thanks, I'll try both of them!

Alarm sound problem

How to extend sound of the alarm in HTC HD2, in my opinion he is too short .
At me he is acting about 5 seconds and he is falling asleep and after the about 1 minute then again he is heard 5 seconds and it everything .
I would like to know this too.
I'm using ptravelalarm, but would prefer the inbuilt alarm function...
It is as simple as modifiing the WAV file with the Microsoft Sound Recorder. You can edit it and put another copy of the same WAV afterwards once and again until it is as long as you want.
I never wake up to the standard alarm clock.
But now I have G-Alarm.
I highly recomend you install one of the great alarmprograms that are made for Winmo.
Galarm / CradleAlarm etc
no doubt there are great alarm programs but built in alarm should work ...........
