I'm having problems with sound during video playback in Coreplayer. It loses the sound, pausing and unpausing video helps sometimes. as far as I know most Trinity users have problems with video in Coreplayer due to unfixed bug related to ATI Imageon, but interesting point is that I have no problems with video, only with sound. What it might be? Flashed with latest russian ROM.
found the thread where the same problem was discussed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318532
interesting, why does Coreplayer react to touchscreen action this way?

Just installed TCPMP v71 and tried v72RC2 when playing music or videos I would hit play on the touch screen then it will play, after 3-5 seconds the sound gets distorted and goes away. If i use the action key to pause and then play it agian everything is fine. If I just load a music or video file and hit the action key it would play fine but if i tap the screen to play it, it screws up. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I've the same issue
Try TCPMP v81
CorePlayer also
Hi,
Does anyone else have this bug? I also see it in CorePlayer (I'm running AX3L's ROM 3.0.9) It's a real problem for me to use TCPMP or CorePlayer as I can't pause at all.
Edit: Whoops, I just re-read the thread, and I tried pausing using the D-Pad, and it works! Hooray...
I have exactly the same bug.. after two seconds , the sound goes away and I hear ticking-like sound
tcpmp81RC1 doesn't resolve anything, and besides.. it freezes almost instant
(same sound problem)
I have latest Dopot ANZ WM6 version and I have same problem. I it is very annoing. I tried playing with buffering values and doesn't seems to fix it.

all devices have some limitations/problems. It's a matter of how you resolve it. I came from two O2 devices, and believe me, they have their issues as well. Now, it's my first dopod, hope I can stick to this one.
Sudden No sound on Core Player
Hi all,
I would like to enquire if anyone can help me with fixing this bug. I have been using coreplayer on my HTC Trinity since i got the phone however just last weekend... i am not sure what happen but all of a sudden the sound did not work. The image worked fine... i tried to see if it was my speaker but when i use an alternate TCP player, the sound was fine.
Any ideas? I went to the options => stream => the audio is checked.
I checked the menu option => tools and all of it is checked.
Hence i hv no idea what is wrong.
any ideas anyone? Appreciate any help.
Try to set Audio to Mono and video preload @ 90 % instead 70%.
Bye.
just experienced this today. was playing a video file and i notice i did not have audio!
what i later found out was when i took out the stylus, i had audio! when i put it back on the audio was gone again!
has anybody else had this problem? is this behavior usual?
just started to enjoy videos off youtube and i find out i have an issue with coreplayer! bummer..
inputs needed..
nobody else have had this problem?
I am not really using VIDEO on my device but had some audio issues on an older T-Mobile ROM. After soft reset it worked well again. While digging deeper in to the problem I figured that there was just a part-incompatibility with the video codecs ...
Maybe your stylus in/out sound problem might be a coincidence only?
Somehow my Mega doesn't seem to like me very much xD
After I got rid of that no audio after receiving an incoming call issue I now have stuttering during music playback.
The stuttering occurs both with CorePlayer and Windows Media Player though I could reduce it to an "acceptable" level by enabling "Higher priority music playback" in CorePlayer.
I never had that problem on my old Trinity and my audio files (mostly WAV files ripped directly from original purchased audio CDs) are the same ones I had on my Trinity before with no stuttering at all.
I think it's the same problem as described here on the Touch HD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460100&highlight=audio+Distortion
Does anyone else experienced this on the Touch 2?
Thanks,
karlmueller
I have the same problem when playing clock-alarm music(mp3), don't know what's wrong.
So if you have the same problem with your Touch 2 I guess it sounds more like a software bug than a defective phone.
If other ppl on here have the same problem too I guess it would be the best to contact HTC about it so that they could than release a hotfix for the Touch 2 too the same way they did for the Touch HD.
thx

Thank you for your response.
Watching a movie that is h264 encoded while listening with bluetooth headphones causes a noticeable decrease in video quality. In slow panning scenes the amount of "judder", or stuttering is subtley increased. It gives the video a jerky feeling, as if the video is not quite smooth.
This effect is present across multiple video players in hardware decoding mode. The same videos play more smoothly when listening through wired headphones or the XOOM's built in speakers.
Again, I repeat this a somewhat subtle affect. I spent two days playing with video encoders and handbrake settings, driving myself crazy trying to smooth out my videos. Then, due to a battery failure in my samsung BT headset, I started watching movies with a wired headset and the cause finally dawned on me. I did multiple AB comparisons to confirm the problem.
So if your video doesn't seem quite right, and you are using BT audio, try wired audio or buit in speakers for a while, and compare.
I'm using moboplayer right now, and watching Top Chef masters that I encoded into h264 (via Handbrake).
I turned on soft-decoding option, it runs smoothly, and the audio works fine straight from the jack on the top and straight from the speakers.
EDIT: Oops didn't read the post all the way, Sorry.
overclock it a little and your problems will be solved.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Overclocking might solve the problem.
But wow! Wouldn't you think a 1GHz dual core CPU with hardware acceleration for h264 would be enough already just to play BT audio with your video? I'm just surprised overclocking is even necessary.
Edit: Just to point out - the video I'm playing has already been encoded specifically for the XOOM and is being handled by the hardware. The CPU should hardly be taxed to begin with. Is playing BT audio such a processor-intensive task that it should require more than a dual core 1GHz?
I started experiencing that large video playing on YouTube lags the sound, especially when a video is long. The sounds go way ahead from the video. It looks like the phone lacks the ram or performance but it has a decent tech specification, should be an issue, especially when I play a video on a low resolution. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
I have a similar issue with video playback. However, it is not only with youtube, it is with all videos. Even those on google photos, etc. The playback timer doesn't start, but the video starts with no sound, then the playback timer starts with the sound and the video freezes until the sound catches up with the video. The issue disappears with a restart and only started happening recently. Very odd.
Made an account for this lul... Anyways it seems like I fixed the issue on my phone, I disabled the mobile manager, let me know if that works for you. Good luck
I had to update youtube
