I have been given a China Mobile Dopod P800, and have successfully connected it to my current carrier (FIDO) in Canada.
I am not however, Chinese. :-(
Has anyone successfully Flashed an English ROM on this device?

T-Mobile 1.72.xxxWWE to be expected shortly
Currently there are only 1.72.00WWE (wwe=world wide english) roms for iMate and Qtek 2020.
As these device are technically identical to the )2 XDA2 and T-Mobile MDAII you can use those ROM's (with some handwork as explained on this site).
I asked T-Mobile NL about the availability of an official 1.72.00 update. Today T-Mobile stated they expect an update shortly.
This is promising as the T-Mobile NL ROM will definitely be WWE
I just got an O2 XDA Exec for the fact that it looks better than the Dopod devices, but since the OS on the O2 is English-only and I don't want to pay for a chinese add-on (plus the O2 Active applications are really annoying), so I figured why not just flash it with a chinese ROM.
I found a Dopod 900 Taiwan Version ROM on the FTP here and flashed it onto my device, it works great but the phonetic input is really annoying (since I don't know phoentics), so I'd like to ask anyone got the Hong Kong version of the ROM (or own the Hong Kong Dopod 900 device), please upload it to the FTP?

Actually I own a Dopod 900 bought in Hong Kong, yet I encounter the same problem which is very annoying.
Furthermore, I tried the high-resolution display and succeeded to turn my 900 to display in 640*480 all the time. But very unfortunately the display keyboard failed to work any more.
So yesterday I reset my device and now it works in low resolution display. Can any experts here help to solve this problem?

There is no Dopod 900 (HK version) ROM available. Dopod has not made it available for downloading. I tried to take an image of my own Dopod 900 but was not able to do it (I could get into bootloader, but the commands that are posted here did not work).

Hello Everyone,
I have changed the IMEI number of my Dopod 838 last night, but I had to downgrade to lower ROM Ver. for CID issue. But the rom i have installed on dopod was chinese.
After installing the lower Rom and solving the IMEI issue I installed another Wizard rom on it (which is not for 838 I think).
Well I found the Rom for 838 but i cannot install it, it shows a message like "you need newer version of NBF" etc.
I would like to install latest Dopod 838 English Rom to my dopod, can anyone help me on this please?

CID lock is in branded pda - compact III etc. Is it also in original HTC artemis p3300 with wireless card on board, if yes, why? Isn't it mother of others branded pda?

I bought one in Moscow, Russia, from a local mobile retailer/distributor and it came with Russian ROM and CID-Locked, but SIM-unlocked of course. At the moment I am running a customized PV 2.00.02 ROM on it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=304706).
I am really hoping that once WM6 is officially available the CID-locking on this device wont be a problem once upgrading.
Hi all, After searching for ages, I finally came across this site which seems the only good site about for this topic. I recently bought a Orange SPV M3100. It has orange software and mobile windows. here is some spec that it says: Operator version 14.123.1.614, ROM version, 1.23.61.4, radio version, 1.13.00.00, and protocol version, 32.49.7018.00H, and model no. HERM100. My question is, that I'm a vodafone user, and I managed to download a programme and unlock the phone so I can use my vodafone sim. However, it still had the orange software on it. Is there anyway I can upgrade it to have the vodafone software on it? Also, I'd like to have the newest windows mobile version 6.1?. Many thanks if anyone can help.
