what is a good program to view flash videos on my wizard, i tried to to use adobe flash mobile but it still says javascript not enabled or not the latest flash program
You can't watch flash videos through Pocket IE.
However for youtube, you can watch clips in m.youtube.com through the HTC Streaming Media (present in most custom WM6 Wizard ROMs)
i guess ill have to upgrade to WM6 then. any good ones that you recommend?
well i found a program to convert .flv videos to avi's

Hi
I cant get video`s to work on video google, they dont show up when the page loads, plus i hit the download button and theres no response, also when i go to play an internet flash game, the message comes up "PLEASE NOTE : To view this page properly, please enable Javascript and update your flash player.
Now as far as i know i have the latest flash player, so where do i enable javascript, didnt find it anywhere in IE options? I jsut assumed this sort of stuff would just work onm WM5..
Thanks

Give us a clue, what tools?
Have a look at http://www.videodl.org/ it lets you download the file and points you in the direction of tools to convert them.
Doesn't vlc play flvs?
V
youtube downloading
VLC is great for nearly everything however i couldn't get it to open .flv files. But
Total Video player does and so does FLV player 1.3.3.
If you key the question into google "How to download videos from youtube ?" you get various results.I use the mozilla firefox browser ,with the greasemonkey plugin, then when on you tube a red box appears at the top of the video page via which you can right click the save-as link. You need to change the file name that you save to something like beatles.flv, madonna.flv etc.
try these links:
http://www.hiphopmusic.com/best_of_youtube/2006/02/how_to_download_and_save_youtu.html
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/
Most of the conversion programs seem to be commercial only at the moment ,but most have a trial period of about 15 days.To date I have managed to download some of my old favourite vids of the 80s and transfer to imate jam!!!
Good luck guys , its all Do-able.
Youtube Without Downloading Videos
http://discussion.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=148801
full youtube access without downloading the flv files separatly...
ytpocket.com
works great for me. It proxies the youtube videos for you.
Just need tcmp and flash video bundle installed, then go to ytpocket.com
Streams them so you do not have to download the whole file just to view.
Hi,
I've just installed the latest WM6 rom on my 8525 and also installed Flash player 7 along with the java addons. I've tried viewing videos from youtube and mtv from both internet explorer and opera mini 4 beta 3 but any video i click it always says flash player not installed and click here to go to adobe etc.... Can someone help me configure it so I can play flash videos? thanks
cmon, somebody has to have an answer for this. I can't load any videos on standard pages for myspace, mtv, youtube, etc. it says javascript is either turned off or you dont have the right player. I downloaded flashplayer 7. Running mini opera 4 beta 3 and pocket IE as well as picsel browser.
Mobile browsers not designed for video
Neither of the browsers you are trying are capable of displaying flash based videos. The Opera Mini will probably never support them because it is a Java based browser for use on most any phone. There is a Windows Mobile Opera that is in beta, last I heard, that claims to support flash based videos, however the only thing I could get it to do was crash my 8525, forcing me to soft reset, at which time I then uninstalled it completely. As you will see in the instructions at one of the links below, there is one more file you can download that will play the videos, which seems to be accomplished through the link from internet explorer triggering the thirdparty app to open and strat trying to play the video.
You could try the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326225, however I have not tried them and can not confirm for you if they work.
The way I currently play these type files is using a program called AvotMV. AvotMV has a internet browser type feel to it, and when you play the videos it will automatically play them "full" screen (in portrait mode). If you want to try AvotMV, you can download it for free from the developers here here http://www.avotmedia.com/
the tcpmp and flashbundle works beautifuly. especially on a highspd connection. the newest version givesthe choice dowloading or streaming it. You will have to unistall flash7 as it will clash with flashbundle plugin. I posted awhile back if some could figure out how to get them to work together or at least independently on different browsers because the tmpcp flash plugin will only play videos not other flash content.
That explains it...
I have the official flash 2.1 from adobe for WM5/6 which allows me to use one of the spinning cube flash controllers. Would be nice if someone could figure it out because this does not look like it will work for me until a fix is made.
Hi, Does anyone know if there a software where i can visit other site which works like youtube? and view the video? Appreciate all comments... Cheers...
Upz..... Still no help???
Re : Video Sites
What model of phone are you having?
Generally, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC can be used to open video from video site. Just use "open url", then type in the url of the video site. As long as the video format is compatible, you should be able to watch the video.
Diamond... just like youtube... which uses flash player... if your were to open it using the browser... you wun be able to see the video...
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423860
@cullin:

Is there a possible way to watch flash videos on the internet with my rhodium that require adobe flash player. I've been trying to install adobe flash player for windows mobile but it bugs and does not work.
Also skyfire browser that "allows you to watch movies without flash player cannot connect..
Any app that can let me watch videos out there?

You solved my problem.
Uzard web is an awesome web browser. Despite it doesn't allows me to play videos on Youtube it allows me to play movies on other sites. The disadvantage is that the player doesn't have any timer(s) so I cannot skip forward/backward.
MVU is an awesome program that allows me to instantly load videos from some sites including youtube. It also allows me to download it, load it in a playlist or immediately play it on my Coreplayer program. Thank you for the support.
