Today setting hang

Dear all,
Sorry for bad english,
I bought used XDA II, which is one month old.
And I am new to this gadget.
Today everytime I change today setting, my xda is hang.
I have change it before with no problem.
Any body can help me? thanks.

While waiting the answer, I try looking to the program menu, there is Dictonary and mobimate worldpro, I try to run both program with the mesage Not Valid poket PC application, I dont know what happen.
On the "remove program" both program also appears,
I have remove both of it, (with no reason), and the today setting is back to normal.
Thanks anyway, but what happen to both program that gone maybe my next question.

What I would do in your situation is to perform a hard reset, this will put the device in factory defaults. Of course you will loose all custom applications installed by the original user, but at least you will have a clean device. However you will need to manually delete old stuff from the Storage folder.
If you don't know how to Hard Reset the XDA2, just press the power button, the Action button and the reset hole in the bottom at the same time.

I hate to sound argumentative . . . but you don't press the action button. To hard reset the XDA II/MDA II/Qtek 2020/i-mate you simply press and hold the On/Off switch and depress the reset switch with the stylus, then release the on/off switch. That's all there is to it!

Short Green Key Press

Hi all,
I would want to change the application opened on a short press of the green key
Now, in today screen when I press (shortly) the green key, it pop up the phone application (standard, htc)
I've installed Inesoft Address book, and would want to be open the history calls.
In the HTC Polaris tweaks and tricks post, I can manage the long press green key application launch, not the short press one

You could try installing a button mapper such as AE Button Plus (http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php). It's free to try (it's shareware I think) and is incredibly powerful. I haven't put it on my Touch Cruise yet (for reasons too tedious to mention but unrelated to AE Button Plus) but I used it on my Artemis and it allowed me to map the green (and red) keys. You can certainly do what you want assuming it works the same on the TC as it did on my Artemis and you could even keep the ability to launch the phone app if you wanted by setting that to launch when you double-click the green button.

I got my phone today...
All is cool if I'm in mail on main screen and i open the keypad the thing scrolls like crazy even after i close it... Any ideas... S/W or H/W issue?
and how do i do a master reset?

Heres more info... If i open the keypad it's like the arrow key is stuck in the left to right direction.(scrolls up and down on screen) If i hit a key on the keypad it stops.. and when i close it it scrolls again (right to on screen left).. and hitting a key fixes it... Any ideas?

hard reset:
comm manager + Voice record + reset
Release reset while holding the other buttons
Prompt on screen follow directions
Hard reset from UI: go to programs/ Clear storage. it will ask you to type in 1234 and press the "yes"soft key.
If you ever decide to flash your rom with one of the roms here you will NEED this:
BOOTLOADER MODE: (in case you don't read all of the directions)
Camera+Reset. Release reset while holding the camera button.
when the screen turns 3 collors plug the phone back in to the computer and rerun the rom utility.
also make sure that you figure out if your wiz is G3 or G4, and the roms are apropriate to your model

Well it's a g3 i just unlocked it.. any word on the sticky key issue? can i clean it or is it software?

After I have updated my device "XDA III" with "HELMI_BA_WM6_R0_" and after Hardreset, I see only 4 strips, I do all as in the description "HTC_Blueangel_WM6_Wizzard Upgrade 4", but I cannot start that menu where it is necessary to put ticks. Now on the screen of device only 4 strips. Help me please.

Thanks for a prompt reply. But I on the device do not have Kamera button (device without kamera), therefore I tried right after hardreset to press and hold buttons of record and mediaplayer, but it too does not help, i see only 4 strips and on the right of display 44 is written R 1.10.00
So what can i do yet ?

you can find a new version in the wiki.
than it should work.

also you have not Camera button but you have Windows Media Button instead, then pres WM and Record buttons together before the versions of rom and radio show up

Great THX to ALL !!! The problem has been solved!!!. For the beginning has really updated RADIO-VERSION up to version 1.15... After that has established still time UPDATE and after pressing buttons WM and Record all has worked, so great THX.

How to HARD-REST X1 by Physical key ?

I just found a "Clear Storage" shortcut in system menu to reload the OS, but i didn't found a physical reset button on X1 and i cannot found any information on user manual to Hard-Rest X1.
Therefore i would like to know how to hard reset X1 when my phone was looped on the Main Menu.

If you mean a reset in the sense that you don't clear the storage then there is a button underneath ur the back cover underneath the stylus that will let u reset ur device. If you mean reset in the sense of bringing it back to the way you got it then

another way of doing it is hold the two buttons and poke your stylus at the reset button, then on your keyborad press r

BTW, why the user manual didn't mentioned how to soft-reset the device ?

you welcome =) i actually do not classified those leaflets come with x1 is a user menu, i prefer them to be more like a brioche

remove the backcover and the stylus and you should see a round hole, prod your stylus in to this hole and your phone will reset.

push those two shiny buttons from front x1 and reset button on the back phone at same time and you`ll have factory reset, good luck
