HELP ON MY Tmobile wing/herald !?

HOW DO I INCREASE THE SPEED on my wing/herald ?i disabled the fav.5 already and the Media thing in the home screen.
if anyone can help me out i will appreciate it ,if they can provide me with live links .thank you !!

This is your THIRD post with EXACTLY the same question. You've been answered twice already. Either recycle your own thread, or start searching. That's how we learned.

I wasn't trying to "burn" you. If you didn't get your answer, why didn't you respond to your own thread. If you had a question about something and asked someone, if their respond wasn't "complete", would you rephrase the question and attempt to get more information or would you not say another word, walk away and ask another person?
I wasn't trying to rub my being good at anything in your face. I understand you are upset because you think I was, and that is why you "attacked back." In this forum, if you didn't get the answer the first time on that one thread, you're not going to get the answer because either no one knows or you didn't ask the question in an answerable way, or it has already been answered a billion and one time and we are tired of answering. Posting the same question three times only gets people even more annoyed. The end result will be that people will be even less likely to reply to you. Just like in real life, if I went up to you and asked you a question, then I completely disregarded your answer as irrevelant, and moved on to the person next to you, the person next to you will probably not think very highly of me.
In short, as I already said, recycle your thread or search. That's the best way to get an answer. Heck, it's really the ONLY way.

seriously tho, it wasn't a knock on you. you just did the typical "newb" thing and posted a question without really looking. 99.999% of us (me included) have done that. we want instant answers with minimal effort. sometimes you'll get it, sometimes you won't. sometimes a jackass like myself will shout out "burn" and laugh for no good reason. it's all in fun.
is there a .cab file for thicker skin?

What do you mean by increase speed? If you mean CPU, have you tried using Battery Status (I think that's what its called) You can over clock your CPU with it, but it comes with a use at your on risk warning.

Sorry if this is a stupid question guys, but I've just bought a HD2 with the energy rom already on it, what is this and why is it better than the standard rom?

You have 100% right - it is stupid question.
ROM - It's another name for operating system with drivers and settings, its a compilation.
Why You use Win XP on Your desktop instead of Windows 3.11 ?
! Because it's better, it's faster, more intuitive, more stable, it's.....
Each ROM is developed for some reason - somebody fix something or change few things.
In my case HTC gives a sh_ _ on me with ROM updates for my region / country - Only thing to do was to flash unofficial ROM.
Read, then ask question.

perhaps I should've worded it better, I've haven't had a standard hd2 as it was like this when I bought it, but I meant what is different on the energy rom to standard? also is there asetting to lock the keypad when I press the bottom left phone button? mine just turns the screen off but all you have to do is repress it and your back on, I've already called someone in my pocket

In regards to your Energy ROM question, I've been to the HD2 ROM forum (couple of clicks back from this one) and the top posting is the Energy ROM:

Lock the phone manually by pressing the start button then tap LOCK (at the bottom of the screen), then next time the screen goes off it will lock automatically.

i don't see why "regulars" like you, act like you are getting paid that a noob redundant question annoys you. You are not even obligated to answer any questions that you do not feel like answering.

The reason regulars are like that is it wastes everyone's time when you ask the same questions over and over.
It wastes the noob's time typing the message when a simple search up the top can answer it in a few clicks.
It wastes the noob's and the regular's time by making them sift through pages of redundant threads rather than having new original issues - if a noob has an original issue, it may take ages for someone to find it to answer, thats if they manage to find it at all.
A lot of noobs tend to ask the redundant question without searching, then when the thread moves through several pages, they bump it with a "no one going to help!?!" reply. This would move it above an issue that may well have a higher importance, yet it would have been quicker for them to search than to trawl through and find their thread to reply to.
If noobs did more searching, we wouldn't have to keep explaining the reasons why we ask noobs to search every time they don't.

Having said the above, let's pretend a newbie have joined the forum today and have asked a question that may have been asked and solved already or better yet asked something that a no brainer can do.
Does that make it annoying for "regulars" already? Your explanation sounds more like you are saying that "regulars" are obligated to answer questions from a noob, yet it is not.

Just ask yourself this... why is there a sticky thread right at the top of this forum that tells people how to use search?

That sticky serves as guide to a do a search, because not all users know how to use search.
My point is, you and the rest of the so called "regulars" act like they have the right to harass or treat newbies like they did have no education at all.
It doesn't mean you see "newbie or junior member" then they should be treated this way.
There's another way of saying things like "Hey man, try searching the forum by using this" instead of "make sure you DO its extremely annoying for the regulars on this site to keep seeing the same noob questions asked over and over again."

The way people come across on internet forums is not necessarily how they would come across in a real life conversation. For example... my reading of your posts in this thread gives me the image of you jumping up and down ranting like a madman. Kind of like Animal out of the muppets...

Just to re-iterate... my original post here (ie/ telling the noobs to use search) was not intended as any kind of harassment... just a solid nudge in the direction of the search function.
I mean theres a moderater sticky saying the exact same thing i am saying!
Granted his words might seem friendlier then mine but look at the post i was replying to. Theres an example of someone using sarcasm to try and make the point that it takes too much time to search.
The reason it takes a long time to search is because noobs DONT search and post the same questions over and over. Its an endless circle of death.

Please! Need Some advice/help/...

...i think i made a mistake getting this crap. guys this phone suks. now as i saw some guys are using custom roms etc etc. please post those files or link them to me so i can download. please give the ones that are new and works. i only need English ones. this is such a crap phone. i talked about it with htc support, and they asked me serial number, gave it, told me its from UAE so transferred my query to UAE support, they said me to download Arabic rom, and that was when i gave up and cursed the living **** outa them cuz i dot know Arabic and i never asked for Arabic versions. i bought it over 5800xm but now i think i should have bought Nokia :/. i hate this phone. nothing useful in it! sms app hangs, start up time is f'in crazy this and that cant even begin to tell the problems in it. My friend got it from UAE for me. i live in Pakistan. man this phones suks a**. well if not phone at least the software does! i am quite fed up with this. no games, nothing! yes it has some powers over 5800xm, but 5800xm makes up for it in many ways and so i love it. and any skins for win media player? cant find anywhere... please guys can you post them to me? everything to make my life easier with this machine? i got to know this website after i searched htc on Google. so finally after sometime when this pda started making my life hell i thought to join this forum and get expert help.

To be honest mate, nobody is going to offer you much help if you come on here spouting rubbish and criticising the device. The Mega is avery good device, as good as anything out there for similar money. There are areas of this forum dedicated to updating the ROM, so have a loook on there. The updates are nearly all superficial, just changing the appearance a bit and removing some unwanted apps that some people believe make the device run slower, although I have found no noticeable difference. CHeck out the ROM Development section. You need to do the HARD SPL stuff to unlock your device, then choose one of the ROMS and install it.
This reply started of as a moan at you for your attitude, but has unintentionally turned into some advice you wanted. We are all users and purchasers of this device, not the manufacturers. A bit of politeness and manners will get you a lot more assistance than the arrogant aggressive attitude you started with.

I agree with TangerineTractor, you come in here, moaning the phone is s**t, dont bother looking in the section marked "ROM Development" and expect other people to point you exactly where to go??? We arent gonna hold your hand and show you around the damn forums. Dont be so lazy.
As for critisizing the phone, you dont like it? splash out more cash and get a different phone. We dont care if you like it or not and dont want your life story.

Dude, the new roms wont change your opninion on the phone for sure, they are just vision. You dont like it - sell it and buy another one. But to compare it with 5800 hahahaha that made me laugh, Nokia and Symbian is the biggest sh*t out there imo.

No, no one wants you to make a video about this 'crap' phone.
Pretty much everyone in this forum section has purchased this phone, so when you start saying how rubbish it is and how much you regret buying it - people will, quite fairly, get annoyed with you.
"Coming and acting all superior and bashing [you]" I would say is a more than fair way to greet you - as it isn't half as offensive as the way you greeted everyone else.

I'm personally using the device since month's and am satisfied with it.
Maybe you should specify what sucks, whats bashing etc.
So far I was using all kind of versions from Nokia, but what the Mega is offering to the user was NEVER reached by any Nokia device

help with android/rom?

hey guys, i think i am trying to to install a new rom. what i am trying to do is dual boot wm 6.5 and android, if thats possible, i have tried searching for stuff, but i get not enough info in some places, and too much in others, here are some links to stuff i have found so far:

i have read all the newbie and noob posts out there, so dont tell me to go read them
id like someone to tell me exactly what to download and how to run it to effectivly get android running on my device, dual boot if possible, id like to keep wm 6.5 but also have android. id also like to have a back up rom that is completly "stock" unless a hard reset will erase everything and put it back to "stock" incase i need to sell the device, or just go back.
im sure i am missing a few things, so any help would be greatly appreciated, i really need to get this done, because as of right now, i am not to happy with my device with just wm 6.5 and i cant afford to take a loss and sell it back...
i also may be wrong with some of my terminology, so what i understand is with dual booting i can run wm 6.5 just like i have now and use CHT and stuff, or i can run an android UI like the real android devices?

Glad you got it figured out. Next time, you could try posting in the regular hd2 section as well, seems to be more traffic there.

So you're bothered by the fact we didn't give you the answers quick enough, to something that you obviously had the ability to work out on your own? That points to the fact you didn't do enough to help yourself, before posting your question...something the rules here specifically address.

i did several hours of searching before i posted this, and after a lot of dead ends and frustration, i posted the question, but i continued to search after i posted, which led me to my answer.
and i dont think you guys get paid anything, i just would have expected at least one person to post something, helpfull or not, i just found it weird that no one said anything, not even "i am interested in this as well" or something like "good luck" that i see in other posts....

There's nothing weird you just don't have enough patience to wait for replies. Anyways, good to see that you actually utilized the search function. There's a dedicated android on hd2 forum here on xda. You should have posted your question there.

We dont. It was sarcasm. Hes saying hes not getting paid to help you, so dont get upset when you dont get an answer... This is the internet. Dont expect things from anyone. Just relax and wait. Sometimes, depending on the question, it can take days, weeks to get an answer. If you need people to hold your hand and wish you luck, try the Disney forum.

haha, very funny, i know it was sarcasm, i just gave a serious answer...
i didnt expect anyone to hold my hand or give me an answer, i just would have thought some one would have something about something, like i said before, a lot of times people say good luck, or id be intersted in this too... i found it weird that no one said anything. i know you guys are mad because you couldnt understand my sarcasm, and that i was able to figure it out for myself. how come when i needed help no one said anything, but now that i have it figured out, you guys rant about me wanting everything handed to me, when thats not the case?

There is a lot to learn on this forum and by the time you learn it all, your device is out of date.
It seems you wanted to figure it all out in a night. Been using WinMo for about 2-3years now and I still don't have a clue most of the time.

pbleonidus, if that comment was just tongue-in-cheek, then it's all good, no harm no foul. Those types of comments are near-impossible to tell the difference between light-hearted and just disrespectful....and believe me, we get FAR more of the latter type in here...and that does tend to strike a bit of a raw nerve with those here who go to a lot of effort to help others.
So, a lesson in this for all of us: you're apparently not the type of snarky jerk that we run across so often, and we're not always able to generate answers as quickly as you might expect. Cool? Cool.

To be polite, all I'm going to say to this post is Shhhhhhh.
Now my master, as we are all here to serve you, I will answer the first post if it pleases you.
-Which one of these 2 options yields a faster build?! SD scores higher on quadrant, NAND generally "Feels" smoother. Not much difference overall.
-Which one of these 2 options yields a more stable build?! NAND. There is possibility of corruption when using SD To store data.
-Which one of these 2 options gives the best battery consumption?! NAND, but a lot depends on your settings, and with the right settings the difference is very slight.
I hope I may now go and read some posts from people who have actually researched their problems before just asking and expecting someone else to do the work for them. All the info you need is on this forum. In fact, I've answered a very similar post before. The other guy had more patience though.
:EDIT: Changed my mind. I can't believe you only waited 8 hours and 24 minutes before crying like a *****. Like no-one has a life..... People come here to help others, it's not a paid position. If you don't get a response straight away, sure, ask again. Something like:
"Hi, sorry, but there has not been an answer yet, please could somebody have a look at my question"

First of all, let me be really polite and thank you for your prompt response hehehe.
Second, i guess this section is for Q&A and that's what i did! I saw SOME answers to my questions in some threads but they were contradicting each other! So a good idea is to ask these in a separate thread to see THE answers and to be able to compare, to see what most of people say!
Third, you should have "held your tongue" coz i will have to release mine too... but i won't!!! What disappoints me is not getting any answer, but rather the fact that more than 60 people viewed the thread and not one tried to help for free (as you say) and at least answered any kind of answer even like "Try it by yourself" or "Sorry dont know much but look at this thread" or "The same." or etc.... I for myself, never let anything that i can help with without helping!

Just ask your mom about it... She'll tell you the story son... hehehe
