Installing HTC Touch contact manager on Polaris

I've seen that HTC Touch's contact manager is far superior than one on Polaris (WM6 original) is there any chance to get it installed on Touch cruise?
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=7JgaJXJBNbA&NR=1
Thanks
What the... It definitely looks better, especially the animations. The Polaris version uses the WM version with the random access (e.g. A to Z on the right of the screen) which isn't very handy in terms of NOT using the stylus.

Looks like PocketCM Contacts
You kind find it here http://www.pocketcm.com/contact.php
Also, pocketCM Keyboard is a must... works great and looks nice too
Plus, all of this is free (but you can, and will, donate to support this talented developper)
You mean that the one on the video is not an HTC application but pocketcm?
Does pocketcm has all the scrolling (IPhone like) features?
yes
At video are PocketCM i think ...
If you look at the notes (information) next to the movie, they also say that it's PocketM, so I think they mean PocketCM. If you look at the pocketcm website (as given by t.fabien), you see the same interface. So good luck installing pocketcm, since that's what you need

Has anyone gotten the chance to compare PocketCM with Vito's FunContact?
http://iwindowsmobile.com/contact-manager.html
i tested pocketcm and it works great ;-) It has a few color styles: black, white, blue, grey.
and it has also nice features like the sms history.

Installed both the PCM Keyboard and Contact on my HTC Touch Cruise and it works flawlessly with a lot of options. Install smoothly(used the CAB) and quite a lot better than what comes with the original ROM.

Trying both on my 750, I think FunContacts is alot more polished an application than PocketCM. I also found less issues with device locking with FunContacts. Since I am running a trial of FC, I get that little splash screen but otherwise it loads quite quickly. I only have a 100 or so contacts.

Yes, it's really good!!
So, I can't find the "+" ?
I know, that is sooo old topic, but I need to write:
Is anybody gonna port original white qvga skin (first post) to vga? ^^
I know.. There are more better and nicer keyboard skins, but I've used it on my Kaiser, 2 yrs ago and I liked it...
Now I'm getting Diamond (hope so) and wanna use this skin again )

Nice work again, but you're wrong. TC won't upscale it correctly. Upscale your skin to VGA and then compare it to the diamond VGA skin. You'll see differences.
Nice one!!! Really appreciate it!! thanks, m8

Ah cool. Thanks for the clarification. I'll try doing a vga version if there's enough interest.
Nice skin dude. Thanks.
i use this too and want to say thank you. but i think for a iphone skin it uses too dark colors ? isnt the Calendar more white than grey?
oi. now i'm torn between this and the original one.
I'm quite interested on a VGA version. I do hope you can provide it.
Cheers

Yer it is quite dark, its not meant to be an actual iPhone clone, just heavily inspired from it. I have a dark theme throughout my whole phone (which Im prepping to launch soon) so it fits in with what I need. I might make a brighter version if your can convince me

Unfortunately I dont have VGA hardware to test on, nor the time at the moment to give it a shot. I can't promise anything immediately but when I do get a bit of free time I will maybe try (don't hold your breath though )
@nir36; cheers.
@snachez: i understand that you want it to fit to your other apps, and it really looks good. But if you find time i would be really happy for a brighter official look
if not, i´ll use it anyway.
this is my calendar for todaylife, maybe this inspires you

Yeah the new version of thumbcal has a different path rogram files\thumbcal
and iPhkali skin installs to programfiles\thumbapps\thumbcal(or something like that). Just move the iphkali file from programfiles\thumbapps\thumbcal folder into program files\thumbcal folder and it should do the trick.

Why would you use a software keyboard? Love sliding out the hardware keyboard and writing with it
why slide to type some letters? sometimes it's fastest using the screen.
which version are you using 1.4 or 2.0 beta?

Thanks for the heads-up; very nice keyboard. Better that the Blackstone one, in my opinion.
I'm currently using SPB Keyboard 4.
This one is looking good though. Who can give me some more solid results. Any conflicts with X1 HW keyboard? What do you like about it, or don't? Opinions please!

because I hate waiting for my X1 to change from (fast) portrait mode to (omg wtf slow) landscape mode
Yeah that keyboard is quite nice, but I prefer nice and large Keypad style keys with T9 vs. a qwerty keyboard in landscape mode, so no good 4 me....
just downloaded it. so far, i'm liking it, but it lacks T9 input which would be nice. and another thing that really drags it down is that if you type really fast, it won't even register half of the key inputs, which is really bad

But the question is still valid.
I just downloaded 1.4 and so far it works nicely with the german skin, but needs a soft reset after installation.
But nevertheless maybe somebody could let us us know the differnece between 1.4 and 2.0?

Man i would love to cook this into my rom but it doesn't seem like something that can be cooked because of the install process. Maybe i'm wrong.
It looks greater than default keyboard, i will try it

better keyboard?

hi all,
currently using the default qwety large keyboard, i often mis press... perhaps my fingers are too big...
is there any better version that will help me? thanks !!!
Hi
Try Fingerkeyboard2 its very good.
You can find it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122
Yes, +1 for fingerkeyboard v2.1
Excellent keyboard available in multiple languages in both portrait and landscape, plus its also editable so you can choose which characters/buttons you want to assign to certain keys etc
I'd say +1 for FingerKeyboard too. I have large chubby fingers and most of the time I can manage to write at a half decent speed. Obviously I'd prefer a faster alternative, but most of the keyboards out there bow down to this!
isnt fingerkeyboard worse for large fingers compared to querty?

I am using cootek touchpal, it needs sometime to get use to it but after it is nice and fast keyboard. if you wanted even bigger, then look for SPB full screen keyboard! I found it for long typing the best!!

To disable sound you can delete the .wav file in the directory were fingerkeyboard is saved i.e.
windows/programs/fingerkeyboard or storage card/programs/fingerkeyboard
