For your information:
The new Beta from PocketZenPhone now works also with Wifi on/off.
I gave the programmer the files from Extended Rom, which can switch the Wifi on/off.
Maybe someone missed this feature.

Works perfectly for me on my Exec. Is always the first thing I install on any PPC. Only tiny problem is that the original QVGA icons aren't resized so you'll need to find some larger ones for the Today screen if you want to be able to operate the buttons with your finger.
Been using it on my 2 and 2i, now with the Exec...
works great, well worth the money too.
@Anton
on my JJ with PocketZenPhone I could not get the profile to correctly set the backlight. For all profiles (when on battery) it sets the backlight to maximum even though I set it at 25%. Does this work on your Exec/JJ?
Hello my first post here.
I enjoy the ANDOT (and SP3DEV too, but it have same lacks in SMS Sim management, so I decide to use ANDOT image) WM6 clear type image.
It's give NEW LIFE to my glorious QTEK 8020 (aka FEELER).
PROS:
- Finally I can read/delete my SMS DIRECTLY to my SIM card!..With WM2003SE I can only "import" it (a full copy on PHONE memory) and not operate one by one on SIM card (SP3DEV image have same bugs in that!)
- All goods looks of "clear type" in WM6 (Finally I can read all 160 caracters of SMS in "one display" look without SCROLLING up and down!) and "9 ICONS" menu..and all other improvements!
BUT I HAVE FOUND THIS BUG:
If I make a "HARD RESET" pushing UPPER LEFT + UPPER RIGHT bottons (aka "START" and "CONTACTS") on START the phone don't START ANY MORE!!
The only way to resume it is to REFLASH MEMORY AGAIN with "mtty l c:/os.bin".
So I ask if it's possible to correct this BUG, and otherwise:
HOW TO REVERT BACK TO MY WM2003SE (my previous image)?
..I have try to search it, but I haven't found the "COME BACK" procedure!
Thanks a lot
ONE MINOR BUGS AGAIN:
I use TomTom 5.20 and with WM6 the display don't auto turn-off with WM6..
.so navigation it's good (TomTom 5 work) but battery life last only a few houres, not all day long!
..If it's possible to fix this only!
if u use SPL 1.01.0109,just press "1" when Clean HIVE(1) appear and press "2" when Format Par(2) appear for hard reset.
It the same way with WM5 for revert back to WM2003SE (please visit http://ronswens.jconserv.net/index.php)
No Service - Hang
I have run into the No Service Hang issue several times with my Typhoon. I don't use it every day so it is quite a nuissance to pop in the SIM, expecting to use it and getting locked up with no phone service. Hard Reset recovers the phone service but then all of the GSM, Active Sync, and external mail settings need reconfigured. (This is a lot of key presses using T9)
Wonderful WM6 ROM with comments
This ROM runs fine in my XphoneII
but few minor issues I found on this ROM
Comm Manager - After press 1 or 2 to disable the phone function, It is not possible to resume the phone function except reboot the phone
Calculator - the "#" key is not work
Sometimes the phone hangs after reboot if it connected to PC by USB cable, remove and reinstall the battery, all settings will be reset.
Sometimes activesync 4.5 cannot detect the phone reboot with USB connection
The call divert icon on the top disappear sometimes (Windows Mobile Bugs??
WM2003SE also have this issue)
ClockOnTop cannot disappear on the top during phone conversation (ClockOnTop bugs?)
Extra package:
Celetask - The bluetooth audio switcher is not work, and the user interface will changed to simplified Chinese if you choose action > add tools... > ... (the path browsing box)
Anyway, the ROM is very good for feeler, the performance almost same as WM2003SE.
1 more question, How can I remove the simplified chinese and install traditional chinese as the system language?
Thanks andot and everyone
before resume the phone function, terminate CommManager.exe process with celetask.
btw the ROM is excellent, but sometimes "No Service" with LED still blinking,no phonecall, but can receive sms
cheers there,,
it was only until yesterday that i had the courage to flash my BA to windows mobile 6...
To be honest ... you guys did a great job..
however, bugs have made their way into this one as well, so i will i will be asking you guys to post all your bugs in the following format:
ROM version:
bugs in :
PHONE:
WIFI:
PROGRAMS:
etc...
rom version: 5.2.1629
radio rom : 1.12
proplems:
phone:none
wifi: i can't use the wireless manager to turn on the wifi
prgrams:
1) x-button is not working , all programs are minimizing instead of closing, despite of the x-button being correctly configured
2) i cant get to type arabic letter with the keyboard, though allthe other arabic functions are working,
performance: the device is a bit sluggish
THINGS THAT ARE ANNOTING BUT DONOT REPRESENT A BUG:
1) button lock is not there,,, it is really annoying to find out that your BA is making a random phone call while in your pocket !!
2) I really liked the broadcom bluetooth stack , can i get it working here?
3) sim contacts appear in the phone book and there is no option to disable this , it would be really nice if i could get rid of the duplicates
and again:
thank you guys big time, especially HELMI for the super work,,
waiting for everybody to share their bugs
you can use comm manager, you just have to turn it on tru wlan settings esp after every SR, but after that you can activate it using comm manager. just like wm5...
one thing i noticed is the lack of keyboard sttttuttttteeeerrrriinnnnggg... which is great news since i always use the keyboard via one-handed operation.
x button is working on my unit, which is easily noticed since i have wisbar.
one bug i noticed though is that whenever ur connected to the pc and its syncing with the BA, it will totally freeze the BA for the duration that the pc and BA are syncing, sometimes causing the BA to hang.

It would be nice to switch on Wireless withou having to click on several items though - especially when using spb backup and auto restart after backup and profiles in phonealarm.
- WLAN activation problem
- keyboard problem (repeating characters after releasing keyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...)
- phone doesn't work sometimes ("R" and "G" are "NONE") after softreset --> another softreset *immediately* after "R NONE" and "G NONE" appear.
- no ActiveSync --> activate "USB to PC" in Settings, Connections.

With Broadcomm bt 1.7 by Helmi , what are the pros and cons, and does it sort out the wifi activation problem. I have read that there are some new problems with BT using this stack, can you confirm this?
well, sometimes the device stops working, doesn't respond to the power key, or softreset (display al black)it is needed to remove the battery.

well, its just a few clicks ( 3 actually) more, a very minor extra minute not a big thing trivial speck compared to having a wm6-enabled BA
no problem
I see no problem in WM6 by Helmi. This is great! Thanks a lot. This is perfect.
- phone doesn't work sometimes ("R" and "G" are "NONE") after softreset --> another softreset *immediately* after "R NONE" and "G NONE" appear.
the ROM is actually super great, it is just that we want to make it greater
also, it would be actually very nice if there was some sort of a power-saving fix-
i use a 2400MAH battery but it is hardly doing 2 days in wm6, while it used to survive for 5 days on wm2003

Hide SIM contacts
Registry: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
Key: ShowSim (dWord)
Value: 0 = hide
1 = show
This will hide sim contacts from showing in contacts list.

Add contacts
Love the wm6 rom! Works great but ive noticed that i can not add a contact. I can add a contact to my sim but not to my BA. And my BA wont allow me to take the contact from my sim or my call history and add it to my device. Weird. But just thought id add that to the list. I LOVE WM6!
Could not find to deactivate it. Under setting pictures there is something (got ger version) like "use slideshow after 2 minutes of activity" but it is not activated.
I want the Phone charges fast if its at standby so i want the display is off and no screensaver but i cannot force it to stay of.
Any solution also?
BR in advance
BTW thanks for your great work !
hp photosmart mobile - then menu - tools - screensaver -
(theres a box there called show screen saver - uncheck that) :
took me a while to find it lol
Damn u rock ! Rite but there is no logic it should be at display, system, settings but not at an application!
Hi all,
I am trying to find a way to keep the great TomTom working while the HD2 is running on battery and while the screen is locked by the buit-in WM 6.5 LockScreen. My HD2 is running french stock rom 1.66.
I have found that after 10' running in background on battery, TomTom shows a window asking the user a confirmation to keep running. Of course, if no answer is given, TomTom stops. I wrote a small MortScript (many thanks to its brilliant author) to avoid this:
Code:
# Run( "\Program Files\Navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe" )
Sleep( 3000 )
While( WndExists( "TomTom" ) )
ToggleDisplay(ON)
Show( "TomTom" )
IdleTimerReset
Sleep( 5000 )
EndWhile
Exit
But... a problem remains
After launching TomTom, running this script and then locking the screen... it works fine for approximatively 15", then the WM 6.5 LockScreen shutdowns the device... the script brings it back to life but the GPS signal has been lost and TomTom has to acquire it again... It is interesting to note that the behavior of LockScreen is quite different on external power: it seems to take into account the user's settings of the backlight control panel.
-> So here is my question: is there any parameter (registry key, value in a configuration file, etc.) that would allow to set the shutdown timeout of the WM 6.5 LockScreen ? Or, is there any way to make the device think that it is running on external power while it is actually running on battery?
I must add that I have searched the registry (particularly, but not only, in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power and HKCU\ControlPanel) and I have made many tries during hours with no success. Of course, I have also searched xda-developers.
Have a nice day!
Hi!
The same problem here. Searched for a while but i couldn't find something.
I (presume) also want to use my tomtom on my phone for navigation on my (motor)bike.
Grtz
My screen locks even when connected to power. Is this a setting somewhere?
