when i click on the icon it doesn't start at all.

the ui is very good but you cant turn off the display - resulting in poor battery life and annoying button presses

tried this no screenshots avail yet but works well. click to open windows media then shows song title a.nd time lapsed of current song if you tap it again and drag down get a better view as it stretches and then can skip pause volume up etc and shows artist volume and is okay looks like its hacked from a htc audio manager plugin which i think most people would perfer does someone have this cab if im rigvht in my suspicions? cheers and njoy

HTC Audio manager is in the WM6 Rom. I also read somewhere that Jetcet Print is not on WM6. I definately have it on mine too.

yea dude...i got jetcet on mine too...initially nothing seems to have been erased or ommited from the original rom...and im sorry i dont have anyscreenshots available yet.

I was wondering seeing all the great "fingerfriendly" contact managers if it would be also possible for media players.
This would be really need to scroll through albums etc...
Although I think someone could really squeeze money out of such an app.
So is it impossible or why nobody is trying to do this?

What is this touch media player your talking about? Are you talking about the WMP in the HTC Touch or the HTC Audio Manager?
my abolute dream woul be to be able to get the album feature from Itunes 7 to work on ppc. browse through the albums by scrolling....

no not an iPhone, but a WM PocketPC Phone with innovtive and usefull features... which...maybe
habve been found first on other gadgets....
Especially this is the reason why i like the Pocket PC Phones...an open operating system

Lovely! Just installed and it works great. Only problem is that it won't launch the music player as it can't find the file "AudioManager". I suppose that's the HTC audio player included in WM6. It would be nice if someone changed the WM5 version of this plugin so that it started the Windows Media Player...
Or is there a way to install the AudioManager in WM5?

PS: This HTC Audio Manager looks nice but it is totally useless because it sorts songs based on song title not on mp3 tags!!

there is mortplayer which have many ipod'ish skins
there are winampaq
there are many ipod'ish skins for wmp too
but in generaly you get as many various replys as
you do with questions like
"whos the best actor"
"whats the best cheese"
"whats the best car".......
people openions and tastes differs pretty much

best sound quality, and least cpu usage had 40tiplay.
I have already SRS WOW, and it's great...

take a look at pocket player 3.51. I am sure it has its flaws as well but it has some nice iphonish features.

I have already tried it....
but when I minimize the player, It shuts down.....

That is most likely in the advance settings. I don't have a Touch but I put it on a friend of mines that does. It worked great. In the settings I believe there is a choice of what action to take when minimized. I know mine is set to continue playing and provide a player control on the today screen via a "notification" button on the bottom tool bar. Definately contact their support center because they will help you fix the bug.

I copied all the directory into my memory card...
The program starts correctly, but when I try to see the mp3 list, a black screen appears and if I push the screen again, the first screen of pocket melody comes back.....
Any solution??
If you don't need video and like options, Mortplayer rocks. It is the only player I have found where I can start playback of a certain folder with one button push.
I like conduits pocket player it has a couple bugs but I like alot of its features like built in web radio and streaming podcasts.
I also have a touch and dont have that problem when minimizing so you might want to check the settings.

Both play ogg of cause and also speex (highly compressing speech codec, good for audio books or comedy stuff) and the Core Player (not free unfortunately) also handles Bluetooth Headsets with the AVRC Protocol

Best player is still PocketMusic and yes it's support flac
Newest version is V5.05
My favourite player is Simpletunes.

Hello Dave! The same on my Desire, and i got like 400 songs, but on the main screen of the player is shows 1/100. So i'm using meridian player, which is reading the play lists from sd. But i will like to have access on the player (like on the phone one) while the screen is locked

I tried two carkits but only if i reset the Desire will i have no music skipping. But only until the next time I start the connection again. Then it is back to skipping.
I tried another phone (Palm Pre) with both kits and it works like a charm.
I can only remember problems with HTC and BT A2DP ! Had it before with HTC Windows Mobile phones as well and waiting for an update is not an option with HTC.
So maybe this is the wrong thread ....

You have proably already done this but have you disabled the wireless when connected. I also reconnected my phone to my bluetooth car stereo and it now works fine with no skipping

mine did this, got stuck and forced closed when you scrolled past a certain number. having said that,i can't find out how to get in to coverflow now! how do you access it?!
finally figured it out
open the music player as normal and press the bottom left key on the screen (the one with 3 lines)
When the next menu pops up press right once so the album list is present
Then press the menu key on the front of the phone (actual button) and press 'play all'
and it will return to the player with all albums ,now able to swipe through each

nice one. so cover flow is for a play list, almost. if you're browsing by track or have told it to okay all albums then it works. kind of makes sense, that

tried that. also tried airplane mode but doesnt really make a difference; it comes and goes.
the desire player must have good and bad days wrt to the skipping but what makes the difference i do not know (yet)
this used to be an old habit of WM phones. Never have it with my Palm Pre.
HTC Android no guarantee either
try bTunes app. Looks like an ipod touch and has a lot of good features, such as reading a specific folder on the sd card, and can pull album art from last.fm i think it is. Lock screen controls too. its less than £2 i think.

Thanks for the heads up. I like the iPod style music player just for simplicity. Like the lockscreen controls too. Shame it doesn't have a homescreen widget!
