hi,
i'm an newbie and have a problem with my xda mini.
I don't get the contacts synched with my pc.
Active Sync says its synching contacts. But when
I'm opening Outlook Express it won't show any of them.
Is there a posibility to download the Adress-Database
directly?
Thanks.
Contacts will not be sync with Outlook Express.... Do you have MS Outlook installed, if yes then it will available there....
Hope this helps....

There is any freeware that I can sync my data from the diamond to outlook express (and the opposite way)?
I think you want Active Sync mate, you get that from Microsoft.
If you running XP, you want the Active Sync..
If you running Vista, you want the Device Center...
info and download here

I think that the active sync is only sync the outlook but not the outlook express!!!
If I wrong please tell me how to do it...
THANKS!!
Ah sorry i didnt notice the 'express' in your original post.
I think you are right, only Outlook is supported.
I have not heard of anything that would work with Express, i had this issue some months ago when had another htc, i installed the full Outlook in the end so i could use Active Sync
search for "Syncdata SyncExpress" on google!
Thanks but I wrote that I want free software to sync with the outlook express...
there is no freeware for this,
Hi there,
I was wondering if Outlook was the only program available to sync thc HTC HD with, or whether there were other alternatives.
Sorry if this is a complete noob question.
Thanks!
No my Dear there is none.
Well I found 'Birdiesync'.
It will sync both Thunderbird and Sunbird (Mozilla's freeware mail and calendar) to an HD.
I've got it working, and it seems to work well.
Birdiesync will cost a small amount, but not much compared to Outlook!
Umm, you could sync your mobile with Gmail/Calendar/Contacts using Nuevasync...
Try here:
http://www.nuevasync.com/
While I do understand Gmail is not an application, that is the only email client I use... apart from Outlook
Which is the best way to do this? I have tried by just using sim card but contacts are all over the place!
Please help
Hi,
The way I did it was to use the Sony Ericsson suite to sync your contacts with your mail application (outlook). Then setup active sync on that mail profile to sync them down to your X1
Activesync will only ever look at your "contacts" folder whereas the SE Suite you could pick your contacts folder. so be sure you sync it to your default contacts folder.
If you already have contacts in their you dont want on your phone (like me!) - I created a new outlook profile and performed the sync from there.

Craig
Thanks Craig, so start by connecting W960 to PC then how do I save to Outlook?

Dear Friends..
I bought LG Optimus mobile in the "word to speech" icon is missing, and could u pls help me how to Sync the contacts which is in Outlook to my Mobile??
I was using HTC Touch HD..is it possible to update the PIM Backup in Optimus?
Pls help me.. thanQ
The Optimus 7 will only support the Syncing of outlook contacts through an Internet Exchange account.
The phone no longer uses Activesync (thank god) to sync to your PC, so syncing with a local Outlook install will not work.
There is a MSKB on how to import your contacts (a one-time deal) here though, although I have not tried it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2454811
Thanks man, that saved me a lot of time. I started to sweat when i saw there is no way of directly syncing contacts from outlook to phone.
