Jme applications --> opera mini - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

i've installed the java apps from the cabs from the xplode's.. some how, after succeeded to install opera mini and open the internet, it just stopped, it says error and suddenly the gprs connection also stopped.
feel dissapointed, I just close the opera mini using x button. but it doesn't close the program.
dissapointed, finally using the memaid apps to close it, no luck, it still work in the process view, try to terminate it, no luck, damn it.. then quickly hit the reset button.
guys, any suggestion?
does it anything to do with the opera mini? (its compatibility?)

you can try difrend midlet manager search the forums for one, i remember i have seen a topic somwhere about opera mini

I've found the apps, esmertec j2me, at other forum.. The problem still occured. I assume that opera mini is not compatible with those java emulators. Do you have link to apps which compresses the web page so that we can save memory (and also the bill )

opera mini
Opera mini works great on my BA running Xplodes midlet setup. I am running opera mini 4 beta 2 just for the record, I couldnt get the first beta of mini 4 to run, But I have no problem with beta 2 at all.. Great browser as well...

figure it out!
it seems that the network connection plays important role on this. (when using not stable gprs connection, the opera mini keeps trying to connect to the web, but since there is no/weak gprs signal, it just stops working.) when trying to terminate the appl, BA read it is still trying to connect to the gprs, then it wont stopped... however, softreset fixed it..
if i upgrade my radio version to 1.15 (currently 1.12), does it improve the signal's reception?

The fastest and lightest i-net browser for Artemis?

Hi folks!
I've been trying for days many different i-net browsers on my Artemis (WM6, ROM Artemis touch 3.01 WWE), but the results are as follow:
- the 'implanted' IE - sucks, toooo slow;
- the newest Opera 8.65 - slow and after 3 minutes of workin it 'swallows' 12(!) mb of program memory from 20 goes to 8mb!
- Opera mini trough Emertec simulator - so-so, but doesn't have many functions...
My question - your 'best' browser?
My request - give me advice what i supose to do?
Many thanks from one noob...
U might try netfront, skyfire. Not many choices left.
?
I've just tried Netfront - When it' startting, it says "Can't save the file"?!? The "Cant't open the file" Then, when it trying to open a site, it's popping a "java script not running" or something like that massage...
And?
Skyfire working with this win version?
i personally use Opera Mini, its by far the quickest, it just lacks Java and Flash support...
Opera 8.5 only sucks 8-10mb of memory on my device. Even with multiple tabs opened..

When i tried ot run just ONE PAGE, it took me an age...
And when it finally opend ot and browse two times in it, it popped out "Memory is full"... and stuck!, i had to remove the battery to turn the phone on...
What the hack is going on here? Any solutions or explain? I can't understand why is that memory overloading?
It's Opera 8.65, 'the latest best opera on the web, optimezed....' and bla-bla... ??

opera mini/mobile ?

is it possible to use either opera mini/mobile or both using just wifi. i have searched the web and xda and found nothing that involves this topic.
connect to a wifi router and launch the browser, bingo!
Unfortunately that doesn't work. There is issues with Opera Mini and wifi. Or maybe the issue is connecting Jbed with the wifi connection ...
Does anyone know the resolution?
-K
Try different java engines. Last time I ran Opera Mini, I believe I was on Schap's rom. I don't have a data plan so all I had was wifi. I actually like Opera Mini more than Opera Mobile. Mini had a more intelligent zoom while Opera Mobile will show the entire page, then you need to open a context menu to select the zoom in functionality.
It would be nice to have a browser that will zoom with gestures.
I run Esmertec Jbed with Opera Mini (latest version, don't remember which one exactly) just fine exclusively over WiFi. Didn't really have to do anything special to get it working. The only added thing was to run a Mortscript for creating shortcut that starts Opera automatically.

xv6800 Compatible with Opera Mini.

I would like to know if opera mini is compatible with my verizon xv6800. According to the opera mini web site it is not. If it is compatible, do I need to install something else for it to work?
Yes, its compatable. Download the high memory version of Opera Mini 4 and you should be good to go. Good luck.
Verizon doesn't ship Java with the XV6800, so Opera Mini won't run natively. You have to either install a Java client (search the links here for a recommendation) or install a new ROM that includes a Java client (the DCD kitchen includes Java as an option). Once you install Java and Opera Mini, you'll actually run Opera Mini from within Java. Opera won't appear in your programs list.

To answer the question, yes opera mini is compatible after installing a java manager. I use mini 4 and 4.1 on my 6800. Works 1000 times better than the pocket ie for 99% of browsing.
I can confirm as well. I used emerstec jbed and opera mini 4.1 beta and I love it. Pages load in a few seconds, even ones with a lot of graphics (xda-forums main page with all the phone pics). I also have opera 9 mobile beta and rarely use it anymore since opera mini is several times faster at loading pages. I haven't had many rendering issues when loading pages either. There is a good thread in the development and hacking sub forum with all the files you need.
Anyone figured out how to load the new Opera Mini 4.1 with the touch of the IE button? Or how to get it to work as the default browser?

Opera Mobile Beta 9.5

I have following Problem:
after i installed Opera Mobile Beta 9.5 amny programs dont use there internal browser to show content opera get started and shows it

greetz SciLor
When installing Opera it says that you cant use your IE anymore.
I´m using both programs at the same time, no problem.
But i don´t know why this thread is in THIS part of the forum.
Using WebBrowserControl in my Own Programs -> Developing xD

Internet Browser

I'm having issues with the Internet Explorer, I can't do internet banking, I tried to install Opera Mini but it won't work, and I tried Iris and that's not any better.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to try? I haven't had a Windows Phone in a while so I'm out of the loop. I really don't want to sell this and go back to S60 after 3 days.
Thanks.
** EDIT ** Got Skyfire and it works Great.
