Standalone Youtube Client - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

This is a thread to gauge interest in a standalone Youtube, and eventually other videosite client. I currently have a version that searches YT and pulls results(it's fugly, to put it politely), and will try to get an alpha by next week.
Currently, the only workaround is to have the "flashvideobundle" and TCPMP installed, and my app calls PIE....ugh!, but I can work that out eventually.
Will anyone be interested in such a client?
EDIT: Here are the basics:
1. It will be able to search Youtube for any videos WITHOUT going through PIE, which I find a huge hassle.
2. Media playback will be through TCPMP/Coreplayer. No need to reinvent the wheel.
3. I've taken a fresh look at the Youtube APIs, and currently there seems to be no way to bookmark video, favourite them , or add comments from the PPC, but you will be able to retrieve your profile. As i said, this is a big WHEN. Maybe I'll find a workaround.

yes, I am interested.
What launguage will you use? c#?

Super interested! This is the one missing app holding me back from picking the MDA as an upgrade to my old XDA.
And this is the page that just got me to join this site.

While I'm all for developers making their own work, sometimes its easier to help a project move beyond what has already been done.
Take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=328497
Maybe you can join the development team? I'm not sure about their overall goals or objectives.
If not, then go ahead and develop your own, there is always room for alternatives =)

Interesting link btw, and quite a nice beta they have up.
Er, my proposal is kinda different.
1. It would be (almost) middleman free, whereas the Avotmv would pass through a server.
2. I plan to eventually add userprofile support, as in look at the bookmarks you made on the PC, yadayada....eventually
3. I plan to throw the works to the public once I feel that it's 90% complete, sort of a Open-source thingy.
4. I'd like some sort of choice the masses would have, aka my client vs. Avotmv.
@the guy who asked if it was in VC#
No, not yet. The internals are in VB.NET
Please note: This is not going to be a iClone software. I will try to keep it simple and to the point. Right now, the GUI looks like Windows95, but hey, it works.

A good idea to support user profile. Allow to add commemt and browse comment.

can you take some screenshots??

Not atm,
but I will try and get some (proof?) by Saturday
As of now, coordinating school and programming is a bit iffy

Definitely interested.

Sounds good. I'll be watching this thread.

I would be interested if it was truly standalone like www.vtap.com or http://avotmedia.com/

I'd defenitely love to see something like this.

{TOUCH-INNOVATION.com}Touch friendly programs for windows mobile! NEW Mob site + MORE

Okay you all know i've been working on this website for a few weeks now. This means staying up till 3-4am in the morning, coding non-stop. By the fall of this week, it will be released to the public as a beta for 1-2 days where bugs can be submitted so I can fix it up, to make it a pleasant experience for the user!
Okay so edit again And yes IT's ALL FINISHED!!!!!!
All that needs to be done is to add categorys and content via the admin panel, but i need people to help me out (its a big job)! If you don't want to help all the time, at least help me get through the forums so after i've seen them all I can keep on top, because atm i'm under a huge pile of stree (see what I mean)
Website is here: www.touch-innovation.com
See latest post for the new update
http://www.sprinttouch.net/
Thanks for letting me know about that ,
But it's not very advanced, and doesn't have a lot of stuff.

Hi,
First of all, I am a website designer & coder.
I have the biggest urge to make a website, dedicated for the HTC Touch, and provide people with the best registry hacks/tweaks. The good programs - and link back here to download them. Etc.
I'd provide a forum for support on all of this as well. I was wondering, who would use this site, and support it? And, is there a website like this all ready?
------
If this website did get alot of support, and became popular, I would expand it further too other HTC devices
------
What would the website contain?
- Home cooked ROMS
- Original ROMS
- Games
- Programs
- Registry Hacks
- Themes
(if you have any suggestions please let me know)
Thanks

What better site than the one your on?!?!?!?!?
This is a awesome site, it's just to cluttered, if you see what I mean. You have to file through them all to find things you want, and then when you find something you need, you dont know if it's the latest version etc.
And this isn't the only good site, there's ipmart etc. and this is my way of trying to merge them all together
It will have a way to add your own stuff, so it's like the users own little admin panel, except everything they do, has to be rectified by the admin
So I just thought I'd simplify the process.
Bump... Surely more people want this?!
If you look at the number of members and posts at SprintTouch.net, I'd say there isn't much interest in a stand alone site. By comparison, SprintMogul.net dwarfs st.n. Granted, the Mogul has been out longer than the Touch, for Sprint anyway. Phones come and go all the time, so I'd think you'd be better off creating a site that's manufacturer or OS specific.
Well that's because you have to register. The site I will make, you won't have to register. It will be simple and quick
iam in
heyyyy whats up man
i like the idea i was thinkin the same open website and i guess we can make good work i work programmer and i have 2 desingers and one for adobe and the 2nd flash
any way i would like to say iam with u from nw but the xda is the best and will stay the best if u dont mind gimme ur yahoo id and ill contact with you .
Hi,
It's good to know that lot's of people have wanted to do this It means there's a lot of interest. I have contacted you
----------
So far, I have dont the main page - everything's going to be dynamic, and fetched from the mysql db.
It's coming along nicely I think it should be done within 1-2weeks - if I put my mind to it!
you're a bit too late)) http://xda-developers.com
Does no-one read my first post
I am compiling a site, of everything here, and other forums. It is somewhere where you dont have to register. And you dont have to go through lots of messy threads
In the long run it will be better :0

UPDATE:
So far, I have done the basics - news system, categorys, sub categorys, descriptions, and download/view details page. I am currently going over everything now, to implement more features etc.
It's coming along really nicely!
you say that you dont need to register to use the site, but if you want to download from say Xda-Developers, then you need a username and password!
Yeah I have that one covered as well!
Usually, if someone post's something, they supply a download link to say fileshare, I can provide that. And if I am allowed, and I give proper credit to this site, surely I can upload myself, and give a download link?

How would you make sure the version you are offering is the most current one?
Well, I would keep everything updated, I roam these forums everyday, so I won't miss anything. And If the people who said they want o help are commited they can help.
I might create a php bot, to search for the highest number, shouldn't be too hard
So far, pretty much everything that the user see's is finished! I am just tweaking the rating system - for now, no comments.
But I still have the admin panel to do, but I can still put the website live and add everything via phpmyadmin. I don't like to keep people waiting.
If anyone has donations, then donating to my paypal would be great, and I will add you to my affliates which means more visits to your website
My paypal is booboonathan[[(at)]]gmail[[(dot)]]com (remove the ( and [[ )
Thanks!
Okay - I had to postpone due to family issues and such, and well i've come back but I don't know if I should waist the rest of my time doing this website. Its practically done - Minus a design and just need to implement a few cool effects such as ratings, comments and screesnhots etc.
I have big planns for this website (no wait, rephrase. I had big plans) But I need to know if any of you would use this website? It will be a simple layout, and much easier to get access too.. It will also have news feeds to it's far easier to be able too check if something has been updated.
Hasn't that ever annoyed you? When you see a cool program and you isntall it but you don't realise it's had an update - and you have to go routing through the messy forums (sorry, but it's true - this is a forum, they're all messy) and look for the latest one?!
Either way please tell me if you would use it, it would be free of course
Thanks

Looking for your help guys, Transferring ownership for free!

Hey,
As most of you know, I am the sole owner of touch innovation. I have done alot to this website (and I still have more to come). THe problem is, over the next half year I have alot of work ahead of me, that affects my future. But I don't particulary want to go into it.
I want someone that can look after and keep the site going for up to 6 months. I know you're thinking "What's the point in this, what do I get out of it?". Well, you get experience.
You'll get a weekly number of emails, submissions etc from people that use the website, you can monitor these, and help out there questions.
You can add programs from here etc.
Why Am I asking this?
I have spent months and months of coding this website (considering the website is only 4 months old, it's a lot of work). And I've hit a niche in the market, people want a website like this, and I am supplying them with one, but I need it to be updated while I am gone. Maybe some marketing (aka advertising) as well, so everything is running peak, and more users are coming.
This is a non-profit organisation, I make no money out of it.
I will pay the guy at the end (maybe), dependant on how much they have done to the website. And I want them to take it upon them self to make any adjustments. The site will potentially be yours for the half year (I will be checking up on it, and If there are some changes that are iffy, I will contact you about it).
It's good experience, and maybe helping me + the community out for a while.
Thanks guys,
-------------------
Okay, another idea, A team of people can request to be part of the team, and keep the site running well and keep it updated for the time I'm gone
Touch Innovation team (to-be's):
nir36
jackkkkk
Kenshino
jdiperla
AkshayGenius
Hannigan174
churka
Thanks for anyone who helps in advance, I will be up for giving a little price tag at the end, dependant on whether they've applied effort to maintain the site
No one?
I think it would be awesome to have this opportunity but I have no experience in html coding. Just the basics.
I thought I had replied to this :/
Erm, you dont need any html coding skills. You just need to know how to keep a website updated (using xda, and others) using my simple but easy and clever admin panel. Also advertise to keep hits up etc.
Napbree, I would gladly take this website, but i'm MEGAbusy with studies and work.
I suggest that instead of granting this website to another "sole" person, you create users in your admin panel and grant them to a few people who will keep it updated. I build websites and I can tell you that there's no way i'd be able to handle even one of those i've built, myself.
If a group of people are willing to help, I will be one of them.
I'll also try creating commercial opportunities for the website - profitwise.
I'd usually say "This is not the place to post these kind of posts.. use the Q&A section".. which comes naturally nowadays..
but considering the importance of this... I think we need this thread bumped up until you manage to get what you wish for.
Yes, that would be great. You've given me an awesome idea. A team of people that can mointor and keep the site up and running well, and content updated etc.
I'll start making a list of people who want to become part of the team
And if you could get a commercial opportunity, that would be amazing. I'd be up for selling it as well (maybe). It's just I want to keep the site of my hands for a while. Because my dad died only a week ago, and i'm entering a state of depression, and I need to get out into the world and keep myself busy.
Thanks
Someone?
I really like this site, and would like to see it continue.
Nathan has done such great job on developing this site, it would be shame, to see it gone waste!
So anyone who has motivation and some time to take this site under ownership, please contact nathan!
Ps. I'm one of admins of this site, and can tell you that it's really easy to update site, because of the nathan's clever admin panel. I would do it myself if i had the time, but my studies and and other projects takes too much time.
All friends of this site, let's get this thread bumped until we get some help for nathan
Firstly.. i'm sorry. Be well.
Secondly, I have some connections.. I can't promise anything but i might be able to get some advertisments going.. we'll see how it goes.
Also, if manage to get some time off .. sometime.. I'll create flash banners and put them up.
COUNT ME IN.
Thank you allevant
And nir36 thanks again, that would be mucho appreciated! very generous
I'm willing to help...
But I'm not sure if I got any use thou as I got no tech experiences or running a website.
My best experience is being a gaming forum moderator and basic computer/pda knowledge.
But, if you think I'm a good canadiate please let me know as I would like to help in anyways.
You don't really need experience in running a site. As long as you can spend some time on the admin panel to add content, it's all good.
I've added you to the to-be team , hope you don't mind.
Thanks! future for the site is looking brighter this is just a bump post
I'll bump your bump

I am certified in JAVA (Have Sun Certified Java Programmer and Developer certs) and am proficient in both JSP and Applications.
Currently I am writing CMS based websites using PHP, CSS, HTML and Javascript.
I can definitely write some code to add more cool functionality to your website
I'll bumb your bumbing my bumb
Hi Kenshino,
Application consultant heh, nice!
At the moment, I will be able to code up new sections for the site, for example, the new update that will come sooner or later (when I have time to finish it), has live submission, which means users can instantly add applications, as long as it applies with a few of my automated checks.
But if you have any ideas, and you want to code them up, you can definately! But I wouldn't be able to give source code, but you can code it seperately and then I can incoroporate it nicely
Thank you lots for your interest
Nathan
Hey, I volunteer too. I am a PC administrator and had had success in hosting my own sites in the past as well as prior administration duties to games like http://www.swcombine.com

G1 proof of concept - html, css, php web design

Ok, so this is a little something that I threw together simply to test weather the G1 could be used to fully create a website. No other means were used. No pc or mac... everything was written using the apps available on the Android market.
This may be a useless thread, and if it's in the wrong place, feel free to move. I just had to show you guys. I'm not a developer, but I do enjoy coding websites, and the G1 presented me with a nice challenge. Hit the link below to see the page.
http://www.zeldainmypocket.co.uk/files/test.html
The css is pretty basic, but it is just a proof of concept page so far. There is no char encoding or doctype present at the moment, so it might look a little off in some older browsers.
thats really amazing to do it all from a phone
I'll be adding some images and fancy effects at some point. I'll also be sticking some php in there in order to set up a mini blog. Android really does provide everything you need to create a page... I've just not gotten too technical yet. I will though, because I see no reason why an entire site couldn't be written the same way.
I don't see the point of this. At it's core, a webpage is nothing more than text (code) - so acting as though the validation of the webpage somehow has to do with it being written on a G1 is kind of silly.
If you can write text, and FTP that info, of course you can write an entire website. In fact, you could easily, using the G1 browser - create an account with a host like hostgator, go through the template creation, and make an entire website that way too.
I'd say you could create an entire website using almost any phone with a browser.
Sorry man, but this "proof of concept" is kind of amateur and pointless.
That's because I am very amateur. I've only been coding for about six months... so, I'm quite proud of it.
Where is the Flash? But seriously, nice work! I cant even get mine to reply to Hotmail

I've edited the text and taken that bit out. I've also added a bit that makes it more obvious that I'm inexperienced and curious.
I actually thank you for your comment. Upon thinking about it, logic states that you're right. But my excuse is that I'm still learning and get excited about the little things.
not to burst your bubble but its WHETHER or not, not WEATHER.
sorry to sound arrogent. great job btw.
Hey thanks for posting this. Even if it's not necessarily practical for making an entire site. It's good to have the option when you need to make even a small word edit (such as grammatical errors) from anywhere. Thanks again!
You should post the tools used in the beginning of the thread like you have them on the actual page. Keep up the good work.

Sorry for OT.
But it's "arrogant" not "arrogent"
This is all silly.
Hey man, I'm glad to see that you are working towards trying to make a contribution to the dev world. Keep plugging away and don't give up despite unnecessary critics and missplee'n corrections. I think it would be cool to actually host that page from your phone. There is a server application out on the Market. Get ahold of that and spice up your game. It'll be a good lesson on building websites and hosting directly from your device. i.e. Do a search on the origins of craigslist. You might be surprised.
Now making a website AND hosting it from the phone would be interesting.
I'm sorry if I came off like a ****, didn't mean to. As you stated, the logic behind it makes the project kind of pointless. However, if you are enjoying it, then keep at it - you'll find value in it somewhere.
I've just been doing web development for about 12 years now - so my opinion on beginners isn't really fair.
Does anybody know the name of the server app on the market? i've looked, but there are a few server type things on there. Also, would that mean that my phone is ACTUALLY hosting the page if I used the server app. Like, if someone viewed the page, would they actually be viewing it through my G1, or be connected to it?
Web Server be Mamoru Tokashiki but its for photos and its set to a random port i think read more in the description.

Ventrilo on Android - Let's make it happen!

Greetings!
My name is Daniel Sloof and together with a group of volunteers we have recently been working on a project called Mangler: a Ventrilo compatible client for linux. Mangler is driven by a C library called libventrilo3 and over the past couple of weeks I have been working on making this library compile with the Android-NDK. I am currently succesfully able to build libventrilo3 as a native library that can be used in Android applications. The JNI wrappers are a little lackluster, but they are being worked on.
The main reason for me posting on this forum (amongst others) is because I am looking for skilled Android/Java developers to assist us in working on this open-source project. We're mostly C programmers that have very little Android experience. I expect we could have something functional up within the month, most of the work has already been done: we're pretty much just writing a GUI for an existing backend (and some audio stuff, which is just feeding PCM to one of the native functions).
Thanks for reading! If by this point you're interested in participating or have any specific questions you can just post them here or drop by on IRC. You can find me on freenode #mangler (alias: danslo).
Im so excited for this project! I hope this goes well.
Time for an update and a quick *bump*.
More progress has been made making libventrilo suitable for Android usage. This primarily involves audio stuff, such as upsampling to rates that Android's AudioRecord doesn't support. Buffering in the Android App is still required but this can be done with minimal effort. Of course all of this (and future) progress can be found on our website.
There have also been some android developers peaking around in the IRC channel but no active developer has yet been found, feel free to drop by.
(PS: To moderators: I am cross-posting this on several Android Forums. If this is considered spam, please feel free to take appropriate measures.)
What is your website, I'd like to track your progress.

<-- so happy to see this!~!!
*bump* - still looking for developers
Bump & small update!
I've just managed to record audio on my android device and send it to our ventrilo test server. Even with just 8khz quality (for testing purposes) the transmission sounds loud and clear on my ventrilo client! There is a small bit of delay but that doesn't seem to be caused by either the connection or the speed of the device (HTC Magic); it can probably be fixed with relative ease.
That being said, looks like we've found an Android developer willing to work on the project, but nothing is for certain so we're still looking for decent Java/Android developers to help out.
And up up we go!
Current revision in our repository can now play received audio transmissions! Once that is worked out nicely, all we'll really need is a decent GUI and some minor modifications (process more library events, etc) and we're good to go.
That spot for Android/Java developer is still available

Unfortunately those are the responses we get most of the time Thanks for the support!
I noticed on your website that you recommend Mumble, which I've been a huge fan and contributor since 2007. Any reason not to make Mumble for Android? It's my #1 most wanted app (I've got money on it) and I've heard from quite a few other people who want it, but hardly anyone with the skills/resources to make it happen. Then again it looks like you're in a similar situation, yet still the most qualified.

Several reasons:
1) I've never worked on Mumble. (I am very familiar with the ventrilo protocol and written quite a chunk of our ventrilo library)
2) It's written in C++, which is not by default supported by the Android NDK. (unlike libventrilo3 which is written in plain C)
3) Mangler seperates a ventrilo library from its GUI interface, which makes it easy to write seperate interfaces to the same library. As far as I know this is not the case with Mumble.
Don't get me wrong, I (we?) think that Mumble is one of the better alternatives for desktop environments.. but Android places some restrictions that are difficult to overcome with the way Mumble was designed.
I hope that answers your question.
Fair enough. I will continue my search.
As I hear from some developers in the Mumble community, the main limitation is the lack of Qt support for Android, but there may be a way to work around the need for Qt. I'm not a programmer (I hope eventually), so I wouldn't know how difficult such a task would be by any standard.

There's pretty much a lack of any GUI toolkit on Android (that includes Qt, but also Gtk, wxWidgets, etc). You are pretty much confined to writing it in Java with the Android SDK. Which isn't really a big issue; you want your stuff to feel like -actual- android apps anyway. The real problem with Mumble integration is the Android NDK's lack of proper (official) C++ support and a way of interfacing with the Mumble network protocol without touching any of the audio/gui stuff.

There is a Qt port for Android underway, so this might help the port once it gets completed.
I've gone off-topic for long enough, but couldn't resist to post. Some dude named pcgod in our mangler IRC channel is working on a Mumble port for Android.. Git repository can be found here:
http://github.com/pcgod/mumble-android
In regards to Mangler... only thing we really still need is a GUI.
Checking out the svn of the project it seems that some work has already been done. Do you only need the GUI now? or the audio stuff too like you wrote in your first post?
EDIT: I just tried it, it manages to login and I can see that there are some users in the test server but how do I start a conversation?

I am Making A Website

I'm making a site, called market4android which you developers can feature your apps/roms on, etc. I'd love for you guys to contact me so we can get the ball rolling. It's a great domain that gets a lot of search engine hits, so if you're looking to get your name out there and get your apps out there, then please PM me and let me know what you have and all that cool stuff!
The site should be online for most of the world. If it is not, give it a while because it may still need to update on world servers.
Check it out, leave feedback, etc, and developers! hit me up and let me know if I can post your ROMs on the site. Don't want nobody getting mad at me!
Reminds me of a site that I frequent called XDA.
Maybe I am missing the point? Are you simply offering to host files?

You'll never get anywhere waiting for others to send you content. If you want to post a rom, post info, screenshots, etc. and link out to the post where they can get it and more info.
This may be a dumb question, but here goes anyway....
It's not hard at all to get an app included on the Android Market. What advantage are you offering over going that route?
So far I've only written a few Android apps, and they were both custom jobs for clients that would not be at all interesting to the general public. (And they have a LOT of tweaking left to do before I'd call them anything I'm proud of. I'm new to Android, it'll take awhile for me to catch up with the stuff I've done for WinMo and PalmOS.)
But I've considered diving into some more generally appealing projects, and the Android Market currently offers me both the ability to distribute for free, and the ability to monetize my efforts if I decide to go that route. Either route gives me pretty widespread exposure.
As a developer, my main question would be: "What extras are you offering that the existing marketplace leaves out?" (i.e. How can you make me more money? And/or give me wider exposure?)
I don't think he is making a place to distribute apps (at least that's not what I got), I thought he was making a place to be like "hey look what's going on in the dev community, check out this app and this rom, etc."

So a review site?
That could be very, very cool. Only trick is building a large readership.....
With that in place, it could very easily be something that developers want to pay close attention to.

I'd definitely be letting developers have publisher accounts so they can work on getting exposure from my site, etc. It's not totally about me distributing apps...
Try to picture this: I can get traffic. Traffic coming to my site and seeing your apps there, your ROMs there, etc, want to download them, etc, well, not only gets you not only exposure, but income from the apps as well seeing as how they're downloading you stuff because they found info and reviews on it on my site.
Yes, the market would definitely be the #1 way to go, but what harm can it do to get some more exposure to your stuff? as well as get user reviews and the income that youre concerned about?

Reminds me of a site that I frequent called XDA.
Maybe I am missing the point? Are you simply offering to host files?

I will create mirrors for your files etc, and yes, you are missing the point. I wasn't 100% absolute sure in the direction I was heading with this, but I am offering you the exposure of traffic that comes to my site to see your apps etc, when they may not have ever noticed your app in the marketplace. User reviews, developer releases and all kinds of cool **** can happen here if you're willing to crack the shell away a little bit and accept my offer of free exposure to your stuff.
Why the hell would anyone pass up free? Beats me.

For the record, my comments were not meant to be disparaging, but to help you figure that out.
I'm not going to go into how old I am, but I'm not exactly wet behind the ears. I was making a living in the "computer field" since long before anything called a "web browser" ever existed. The first time I heard about Mosaic, my reaction was "eh, sounds like gopher with pictures. big deal." (It wasn't a great article....)
There are two main reasons why projects fail. The first, and by far the greatest, is because the people starting that project never ask themselves, and come up with a clear answer to, "what problem am I trying to solve?"....
The second reason is that they fail to ask themselves "Is my solution something people will actually use?".
If you have good answers to those two questions, then the rest is just the legwork of getting it done. If you don't have good answers to those questions, then no amount of work will produce a successful outcome.
Sorry if I sound harsh, just trying to be helpful.

Not harsh at all and I comprehend your points. Maybe my tone sounded harsh when it was simply factual and jsut telling my purpose.
I feel that the purpose of this site I opened is good, and it can be very useful. But just like any other good thing, it usually cannot be done by one person. Support for the project is always a plus, and it can be made to be an excellent resource for people who are green on both sides, that want to get into modding android devices.
I dont think that it is a waste of my time, but in order for it to make it to where I'd like it to be, it can definitely use all the support and input that it can get. Thats why I brought the whole subject up, here. There are lots of developers here and even I am new to a lot of the stuff here, and I feel that it would be a great asset to a lot fo folks here if you jsut give it a chance.

Oh, I never meant to imply it was a waste of time. Nothing of the sort. I think the Android platform has a huge amount of potential. For the people developing the platform, for the people developing apps to run on top of it, and for people creating the entire ecosystem that will surround it.
I guess what I was trying to do was get you thinking about a statement that you ended up making yourself. That you weren't 100% sure about the direction you wanted to take this. Whatever direction you decide on, I think your chances of success are much greater if you have a clear idea of what that direction is.
That said, I like your idea. I'd love to hear more about what you have in mind.

Awesome, look forward to talking with you!
Got an article coming soon on the best battery app I found, along with some info from the developer. This should be live within a day or two.
I am looking for more stuff to write articles about, and it will involve some email communication between us so I can get the most accurate info onto the site.
Anyone want to be the one of the first few people to get featured on the site? PM me your email address so I can contact you

Got that article written and set live, and I also have a few other things on there, including a comprehensive guide to rooting the Sprint HTC Hero.
well an app review site would be great as i tend to follow users input when i download apps, and the input in the Market is just crap .. what some user find to be a bad app could actualy be a very good app for others. i sometime do it myself when i download an app , i look for user rating and comments. and decide wether to download the app or not, based on the user ratings..
The other thing would be a app request, meaning i been loking for an app that will play FLAC or AAC music files, i found 2 , 1 is from XDA ( a good app but the GUI is must to be desired ) the other is a cheap app that sometimes plays sometimes dont.. LOL
if someone would make good app for this i would be willing to pay for it 20.00 if i had to ...
The point is i would love a place that i could go to and request an app or suggest ideas for an app..
my 2 cents

You're able t request apps and stuff there, I honestly havent set that section up because I am working on other content first. You can possibly post a new thread requesting someone code something for you, but I am not sure on the pricing of their work, etc. Let me work on getting some good app coders on my side and then I'll open up the requests section.
