very nice looking themes! thanks for sharing them.
Good stuff! I love the landscape wallpaper.
one question: How do you get all the icons at the bottom of the screen by where the comm manager is normally? Please pardon the newbie question.

PHM Tray app.
it's below.
Just browse to the .exe you want and put its complete filepath. Ex: /windows/pword.exe would get the word shortcut.
Thanks Venelar! I appreciate it! less than 17 days to Halo III. woohoo!
Have a good one
Nice theme!

No ! It is not ThemeGenCE which is unable to make Blackbars. If you put BaseHue = 160 in the TSK, Windows Mobile when it installs the theme change the BaseHue to 137.
You have to tweak the registry after the theme is installed by tweaking the registry :
Making a cab with 160 for BaseHue and run it.
Use a registry tweaker.
Or use ThemeGenCE and go in the tab WM5, BaseHue & DPI, (make sure that before this you are connected with ActiveSync !), check the checkbox "Interaction with PDA". Click on the gray scale and move the mouse while button down and you see BaseHue changing nearly in direct. If you want to keep the BaseHue value you choose then uncheck the "Restore" checkbox.
...
Nevertheless, if you do a "Soft Reset" BaseHue is changed to 137.
From my constatations, with a TSK you have :
Any value from 0 to 240 for BaseHue in the TSK gives after theme installed : BaseHue = 137
Any value of Black in color 5 (and BaseHue not defined) gives after theme installed : BaseHue = 137
After theme installed, if you change Basehue in the registry, you can choose any value from 0 to 240.

Hi all.
I was looking through http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=44560 My Today Screen. and a topic that quickly interested me was lost in the middle of it. I figured I would open up a new thread and get the information out there about it.
Orientation aware Themes. Basically you can use two different wallpapers. One for portrait mode and one for landscape mode. I want to give the credit to Jacob-MDA as his was the first post I found in this thread about it.
You need 3 files. 2 Others are optional
REQUIRED
*.tsk file //Your Task file, it will have all the color information in it.
tdywater_240_320.gif //Today Screen wallpaper for PORTRAIT Mode
tdywater_320_240.gif //Today Screen wallpaper for LANDSCAPE Mode
OPTIONAL
stwater_240_320.gif //Start Menu Background for PORTRAIT Mode
stwater_320_240.gif //Start Menu Background for LANDSCAPE Mode
The numbers in the filename indicate the size of the GIF image by pixels, in width*height. so tdywater_240_320.gif is 240 Pixels wide and 320 pixels high.
TO USE.
The image files contain NO color information for the theme. You will still have to use or make your own theme to get the colors that you want. Load the theme and select it under the settings/today panel.
Once you have your theme selected. Drop your *water_###_###.gif files into the \Windows directory. When prompted overwrite the files that are already there. They were created by the theme when it is selected.
Examples
tdywater_240_320.GIF and stwater_240_320.GIF

Again, Please note that the title bars and other colors specified in the theme are not altered by these changes.
good info
I've made such themes, but my top menubar always turns out either grayscale or plain black. None of the theme-maker programs out seem to work very well for WM5 unfortunately; at this time they are more geared toward WM 2003.
TBCompDesign: great info. If it's not already there, could I ask you to stick this on the Wiki?
Grazie tanto!

As time allows, I'll be adding more
To start off, here's a manila edit with a mini slider and tranparent backgrounds, so that you can see more of your wallpaper.
This version has an Indiana Jones theme using the offical icons from the iconfactory (plus others)

(based on the Chunghwa manila files and .tsk)
EDIT: The .theme didn't work too well, problems with images resizing. When I've added some more changes I'll update this post with a full theme file cab.
For now please install it manually, just turn off TF3D and extract the indianila.zip file to Windows, then turn TF3D back on.

Excuse for my English but how to make back фот not the main window is more light?
I'll post some different colours for the tab backgrounds very soon
If you need the ppc .tsk for the chunghwa theme it is attached.
I'm playing about with the transparent clock backgrounds at the moment (files attached)
EDIT: will add the number set later. DONE .pngs for manila edits.
The Fedora.ttf numbers are all placed above the 'fold' line so they appear to flip down from their baseline.
I think it's a nice effect but isn't really suitable for thin fonts.
Allows you to make more use of the clock backgrounds for graphics (examples will follow).
A full Indiana theme isn't far off now, still playing with this and others

The best theme for Diamond IMHO.
But dark font color is not readable on black default background in manila's pages and some home wallpapers. Seems it needs to change font color or change background. Please solve how can I change it?
Very nice work bro....many many thanks from the Greece
It's been a long time
Just flashed the Gen.Y ROM and now catching up on a year of manila mods
Many thanks to all the XDA contributors.

Clikking on a hex code you will see the relative color.
It's useful.

Ummm, so how do you do it? Thanks!
is there one to change the Back colour on the contacts menus? and any of the other ugly green selected text ones like on SMS messages etc
And what registry entry is responsible for the text?
I've installed the Black Dialer with Slider-Support but the non-highlighted text is still shown in black, which makes it useless in my opinion ...!

3) can I change the default operator logo
with a much colored one like this one on this pic? (yes I know is an iphone screencap )
same here. i think the date looks better at the top left as it was on the diamond. unfortunately, i have no idea how to change this though.
You can change the clock using cabs that were made for the Diamond, not sure about any of the other things. Maybe it's possible to edit some of the manila files.

Where did you get the cab for the transparent clock?
you cannot make the wm bars tranasparant that i have seen. You can change their color my using a theme in WM (not to be confused with a theme in the TF3D app).
I've the same question's
now is it possible?
sorry for thread diggig, any solutions yet? i'm figuring how to move the date up
Changing Operator Logo.
Steps to change Operator Logo:
1.Find 256x64.png file in your windows folder and edit it with your own logo.
2.Replace the original file with the modified one (Use Resco File Explorer).
3.Restart.
Find the attached image, i changed my STARHUB logo to my name.
Would really like to know how to move the date too!! Its much better up the top!

Hi shamsul,
but I can't found that "256x64.png" file.......
Guys i am trying to add Background Wallpaper on Home screen! No luck atm..
Anyone want's to suggest anything?????
My idea is very basic and easy though, it's like adding a Desktop wallpaper on you Windows XP/Vista/7 via the registry method!
which basically is string -> c:\documents\blablabla\customimage.jpg
On windows phone more probably would be like this
I got the tweak base that you make the black background to silver and added this path but nothing!
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Themes\1]
"ChromeColor" value= documents\blablabla\customimage.jpg
What is the value though???? String?? value?? dword maybe???
I will try to create one on PC and deploy it to my phone and see...hmmm!!!
Tell me your thoughts!
*snip* MY REGISTRY EDITOR DOESN'T OPEN ANYMORE....LESSON..DON'T MESS WITH THE REGISTRY! LOL! WILL TRY TO INSTALL IT AGAIN WHEN I GO HOME!
MOD EDIT: Profanity removed...please mind the language

Reason why it doesn't work is cause it's most likely relocked itself. Unlock it again and it should work....

The point is tha MS disables Background wallpapers and i want to enable them because i want to and it's nice i guess!
".....We’re not so sure on this one. Some of the text labels are different from what we saw at the MWC unveiling, and Microsoft seemed to indicate that background wallpapers, as seen here, would probably not be allowed...."
