Not sure if I've made this in the right forum but here goes.
Had a Vario/Wizard just over a month now and I've decided to have a go at making some today themes. Been browsing for them for ages and could never find anything I liked.
Here is my first theme. (Hopefully of many to come) Im starting with easy on the eye themes that arent going mad in the background and distract from using the today screen for what its for. Hope everyone likes it and will post a couple more later in the week if i get a chance.

Its a nice one. U should post more of these simple and nice looking themes.
thats the plan, just found that most themes ive found so far are a bit "busy" and make it hard to see whats on screen. Will hopefully have a few more to post in a few days.
Am i allowed to make xda-developer themed ones? (Mods/admins?)

what do i do with tsk files?? lol i kno im a noob. can someone message me back?
Copy the .tsk to your phone (preferably into the same location as other .tsk files, which for most file managers will be the "My Documents" directory).
Use ANY file manager including the default File Explorer to find it on your Wizard.
Double click the file and it'll open the default theme selector app for WM5, and select the new title.
Bob's your uncle.

Please if any of the rocket scientists on this forum know of some way to change that 'simon says' looking wait animation for wm5 then let us know.
I cant stand the way MS makes their interfaces look like a frikkin Fisher Price gadget and each time that thing loads and makes me watch it cycle red, green, blue, yellow the more angered I get.

Never gave this much thought, but if it bothers you that much:
1) Get a coreres.dll.0409.mui file. (should be in any good ROM dump, or use TestWM5.exe by mamiac)
2) Change the bitmaps using ResourceHaker or any other res editor.
3)Check Asukal's posts for how to re-sign the file, then put it in windows directory.

Very cute idea, I will try this my self soon with a custom graphics.
Just one problem I am not anxious to combat:
In WM5 system MUI's will not load without a signature. This means creating a certificate, provisioning device then signing DLL. I know it can be done, but still, a lot of extra hassle.
Exactly. I don't think it worked when I tried it way back when, but I don't think I signed it...

It shows very good iPhone look a like skin...
Try it out for yourself and let us know what was your experience.

you can see I got two different times showed on first two pictures. Thats cuz of iPhone skin itself - it was 3:16am when I took the pictures ...
They working on it to find a way to fix it - but as of right now - I am still using my good old WM5

Not sure I understand what this thread is all about? It seems to have been posted today (or have I got this wrong?) but points to software which has been being used for months and referred to in various threads?
Is there something I am missing here or have you actually published an .ini file somewhere which lets users use all those icons (by pointing the iTunes icon to windows media player etc)? Or have you managed to get the sking to run on start up or have you managed to get the slider to hog less memory?
Please tell us what is going on in this thread!

Well. I just tryed em out. They dont work on my Diamond. I only see the org black htc theme.

Your bottom 2 links have rapidshare "killcodes" on them which are your codes for when you want to delete your files from the RS server. I managed to download by editing the url in my browser and taking off the killcode, but I'd change them if I were you before someone deletes them for you!

My only issue is that I'm on O2 so these dont really go!
Other than that they're good themes. No issues with functionality and I've tried them all. Nice graphics too.
i have just created a blue styeld theme so i guess it would be perfect for o2

No one can help me? I handled it to save some "realize" icons into a DLL file... but windows mobile resizes the 80px icons as 32px...

hah! that IS funny! ... so what's up with no one ever replying to the guy... I happened upon several posts of his because he explained how to make folders with icons within Start Menu on windows mobile. I'd never seen that anywhere else... so I followed a link and saw this. (kidding) what the hell's wrong with your forum that he never got a reply??(/k)
At least in my clunky old T-Mobile Wing forum, we'd'a been all over this kind of visual enhancement (the folders and icons)... AH well, XDA is so vast and wide, it's like crossing a great mountain pass the descending into whole new valleys and landscapes... when going from device to new device.
So... since XDA Destiny (not the name of a phone, though it wouild be a good name!) is such that I will likely never come across you again, adios, amigo!

you missed the point
this shows how to do it in m9editor.cookiemonster gives us names.text which gives us names in m9editor.by this method we fins out names for new files that we create ourselves.
for example in my panoramic background mod we make a file called pano3
the .\asset would not be enough
we would have to add .\manila\asset
so this points to not finding out core names..this gives a idea of how we would make new names.
this thread was made on the 7th august while cookie monster made his on 11th august .this is made as my base for manila 2.5 dev..al my mods will be here..so as i go forward i post here

maybe I am missing something here, but I thought this was solved back in June when files first came out, maybe that was just between me and 12aon though, but I know he had it working right away when files came out, actually before the files came out.
so unless I am missing something, not really sure why this is a Project that was solved.
