Is it possible to use MDAII as webcam?

He Guys,
I don`t know much about hacking or programming my MDAII but I love this forum. I have used a lot of hacks and programs designed here.
Yesterday I was thinking it would be great to use the camera of the MDAII as a webcam when cradled. Does anyone know if this is possible or if there exists a hack for this.
Greetings,
Averix Cool
hey mate,
i asked this very same question like 2 times and so far no one has been able to shed a hint on it i've also done some extensive research through the net and so far zippo. but yes; it would be great if one could use the xda's cam as a webcam or as a live image feeder.
cheers

You can use Microsoft Netmeeting's share application feature to share Microsoft PowerToys's Active Desktop or whatsever
Works quite well (go to pocketpc.com and see powertoys at developer's area for more info)

GPS-coupled reminder & to-do-lists

Hi all,
I'm neither a software developer nor an harcore techie, just a plain PPC user, but after crawling the web for days and nights I feel this forum is the only place where I can find an answer to my question. Admins, please forgive me if this is not the right spot and feel free to move my post to a most appropriate location.
I'm looking for a location-sensitive reminder & to-do list app for GPS-enabled cellphones; for example, you could drive nearby a drugstore and the device would remind you that you need to buy some particular medicine. Or, if you're near the video store, it can remind you of a movie you wanted to rent.
I know the concept exists and has been used by a student for his Ph.D, but AFAIK I never found anything similar. I really hope some of you experts have an answer to this.
Thanks a million in advance
If something like this could get programmed for a pocket pc it would probably be a gold mine. Currently not many ppc's have GPS built in but the number is growing quickly.

That could be a very good application. I also think it's not so difficult to implement.

Are there any news app for the HTC HD2??

Can someone tell me what is the best application for news on the HTC HD2?
It is best if it can update news in real times on the homepage with compatible font for the HD2 screen.
I look but cannot find such program thus it would be great if someone can help? Thank in advance.

I don't know if it's the best but you might check out the AP News app. It's free and very easy to find. on the Microsoft Marketplace.

I have been using it for a while now. I like it a lot. Another thing you might want to try is some rss reader app.
Decided to look on the Marketplace and cannot find that AP News app on the UK Marketplace.
Is there anything else that is suitable or am I being useless in my ability to find it on the MS MP?

snaptu has a few news channels on it not very consise & not totally utd but for a basic news feed try this
i have not come across any winmo rss reader that is even close to what you get for the iphone or android devices (i have an iphone 3gs, nexus one, samsung i8910, archos 5IT and motorola milestone - and i consume news from all these devices depending on which one is the closest!).
anyway, after having tried multiple apps on various platforms, i find myself returning to google reader's mobile version.
i would suggest you set up your feeds one-time in google reader using a desktop, and then from your phone access the mobile version located at google.com/reader/i (note the "i" at the end of the string).
you can use opera 10 - the formatting is a bit off, but the headlines wrap properly. you could also try skyfire.
if you consume lot of feeds, you will love the way stories expand in place, and flicking down takes you to more headlines. this vertical approach is much faster and elegant than the horizontal approach implemented by dedicated rss apps. those apps take you to the story in a new window and then you have to retract back to get to the list. you are always backing in and out, rather than flicking downwards seamlessly...

I have tried Daily News and AP News app and gotta say Daily News was better - until I found Yomo Media... Take a look at it...
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-yomomedia.html
BTW - you want to install OMarket as well as it stores about 500 free apps for WinMo devices....
More devs should start developing apps with the ManilaSDK. It is pretty much aweseome, and makes us able to create state of the art apps for the, in my oppinion best mobile plattform!
Freewarepocketpc.net is an awesome plattform to share the products!
