Small 'Today' Problem - Wing, P4350 General

on the htc4350/herald you usually have 4 small icons which leads to the Battery, the thing that flips the screen, another icon thet leads to the comm manager and the 4th one for the backlight and that stuff.
now what happened to me is that the first 2 icons dissappeared but if i tap on the wallpaper exactly where the icons used to be, they still work.....how can i get those 2 icons back? (the battery icon and the flip screen icon)
thanks

I'm not sure if you've fixed this problem since the post is so old, but if it does happen to you do this:
1. In TODAY SCREEN ITEMS, Edit the HTC Plugin Icons to NOT APPEAR on the Home Screen. Exit the TODAY SCREEN ITEMS and reset your device.
2. Go back to TODAY SCREEN ITEMS and put the HTC Plugin Icons back. This should now enable all four of those icons to appear on your screen. Doing this and moving them up and down will enable it to re-apper!

Click to collapse
This is what you need:

It is a today plug-in that puts the time in the menubar. You can optionally have a very compact date/time on your today screen as well.
Best of all is the price: FREE!
thanks

HTC Customizer Mods

Has anyone given any thought to adding two more rows in the "favorite people" and "launcher" tabs ... right under the tab selector to fill the bottom of the screen?
I don't know if you can make HTC Home do that...but I've sort of done that with a combination of HTC Home, the Sprint launcher plugin, and the LG launcher plugin. It kind of fills my screen up with icons. Since there is no lock icon, I just edited the sprint row to make the little phone icon lock the phone via VJ Device Lock (Since the LG plugin has it's own phone icon). Works for me and makes the phone look very cool. I attached a screenshot so you could see what I mean.
Pretty sure the entire size of that today plugin would have to be increased to do that.... and that would make things look pretty weird. Plus, where would it pull in the other contacts? Because there are only 9 on the cube...

claunch issue

Using claunch and HTC Home Plugin (with HTC Home Customizer) as my today screen. see attached pic below.
I can't seem to get rid of the solid white line just above my claunch icons.
I've tried every setting in claunch; margins, height etc.
When I unselect claunch on the 'today items' it goes away and if I only have claunch by itself it's there, so it is definately not HTC Home.
Anyone encounter this?
The problem is not with claunch or HTC, it is your theme. You'll need to pick up a windows mobile theme maker (like this one), which will allow you to change the division line between plugins on the today screen. Unfortunately, as far as I know, you cannot remove the line - only colour it the same as your background to hide it.
I never would have got that.
Thanks man

Display issues on home screen

Does anyone know how to remove the gray tint on my home screen on the image attached? I just noticed it yesterday and when using a widget for Circle Launcher, it has a black bar. I think that one is due to the screen resolution but I cannot change it to full screen in settings. It does not show up in the list. This one also just started happening.

No Galaxy Labs in Nougat/ would like lower app bar 'gone', invisible icon work-around

So I've looked around for some time for a reasonable method to install Galaxy Labs on my rooted 8+ Galaxy S7 SM-G930, now a '955F' after the 8+ rom install. This rom works very smoothly so far.
Not finding a simple method, I hope someone comes up with one though (?), I went with a simple invisible icon method I've been using for some years for other phones.
The process is pretty simple:
1. Download IconChanger - free on Google Play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en
2. Make a 1 pixel x 1 pixel, 72 dpi, transparent gif, and label it something like 'blank.gif' and get it into your phone downloads (SD card) directory.
3. Open up Icon Changer, tap the center of the screen and it will take you to the Applications screen of apps you have installed on your phone.
4. Select the app you wish to make a new icon. The screen will update to the apps icon at the top of the page. Select "Change" and navigate to where you stored the blank.gif. Select that .gif
5. The screen will update, any on my phone it is a white screen. You will not see your transparent gif. Select 'Crop' at the top right of the screen. The page will update back to the initial Icon/Title screen, and you will notice that the icon is transparent, looking like a white and gray checker board. See photo 1 below.
6. Select the title, and if you wish to have a visible title for the Icon, type in what you wish. If you wish no visible title, delete out the text. Press OK at the top right and the icon will take a few seconds to be created and placed on your home screen.
The third image has the transparent icons, in the same place as the original screen shot.
Tip: It will help if you have your home screen and it's next over screen generally filled up with icons at the beginning of this process, leaving several blank rows at the top of one of those screens, the new icon will likely be placed at the top left corner of that, or one of those pages. You can select and place it as you wish. If your home screen and other pages are largely empty, it make take you a bit to hunt and peck to find your icon.
Additionally, a 1 x 1, 72 dpi pixel size icon is very small. Unless you really expand it in a photo editor, you will not 'see' it.
