Is there a way to use SD Storage as default (always) and not the storage from the device?
thank's!

Is it possible to configure extrom to do that? (install cabs to SD card)
Is there any way to increase the storage size built in the device?

locating storage in wm2003/SE devices

Hi,
I'm trying to locate the internal storage flash card on WM2003/SE devices.
I'm working with evc++ and I've found the functions: FindFirstStorageCard
and
FindNextStorageCard.
The problem is that I have no way to know is it internal flash or external SD. Or does this device has internal flash at all?
is there any way? or is there anyway to check the type of storage that I've find?
Thanks.

i cannot install the Helmi's and Xplode's cab in external sd card

i try to install the addon programs included in Helmi and Xplode cabs in the external sd card; (device or storage card)
at the end of installation the device get me ok but when i check the programs, they are not installed in external sd but in internal storage card;
at the end the internal storage card is full.
Please help to me
Your not the onlyone...
I have the same problem...
most of the htc stuff can not be installed on the sdcard because they look for the OS files to bein the same directory as the program. thats why they all install in \windows
Xplode... but i can't install nothing on sd card... that's not normal, in wm2003 and wm5 i've installed many things on sd card...

Hi Xplode
when we download your addon cabs for wm6, is it possible to know which one must be in stalled in internal storage (/windows) and which is possible to install in external sd card?
thank you very much for yoru reply
you can install any aditional software to the sd card like resco explorer for example, but the cabs i made can not be installed outside of \windows because they will not work
xplode, is it possible to install programs to the sd card instead of the device when installing automatically with a cfg.txt in \extrom?

[Q] increase device internal memory with sd card.?

Good day
I have European device with limited memory
I want to know if there's a way to use the sd card storage to increase the total size of the device memory
Thanks
Most roms support app2sd or data2sd,, backup your SD card, enter cwm, advanced, partition SD card. This creates a partition on your Sd card formatted EXT format, which the system will use as internal memory without you doing anything.
I dunno if you can force your already installed rom to move stuff to the SD, or if you have to reflash to activate it.
When its active, you should make sure all your apps are set to use phone memory not SD card, if you click "move to SD card" it takes them out of the ext partition and puts them to the fat partition, thus defeating the object of the ext.

How to extend internal storage

Hello everyone, I would like to extend my internal storage. I am using Android M on my XT1562.
I tried to use my SD card has an internal storage but unfortunately it stops formatting at 30%. After a reboot the SD card is shown as internal storage but if I open ES file explorer for example the storage capacity is still 10gb (which is the capacity of the internal storage). So I will have to use it as an external storage as before.
Is there any option to change for example the download folder/the install folder for new apps to the external SD card? Or do I need to root the phone?
Another question is if I could use my SD card as internal storage how about transferring files to my PC? How does that work?

Once you format your SD card as internal storage, it can not be seen in any file manager. Also it cannot be seen on pc. Although you can move data through settings which shows your internal and SD card storage but you can only view it through by going to settings.
You cannot the change the location of apps to be installed in Android 6.0

Once you have set the SD card to internal any apps that you install that could previously be moved to the SD card will install to the SD card, any apps that could not be previously install to the SD card will install on the internal memory.

Setting default storage location to SD card AND encrypting SD card

Hi all,
This problem is not specific to the P9 Lite but rather to Nougat in general, but htis is what I have, here I will ask.
Problem:
1) I want to set the default storage location to SD card, so that chrome and all other apps will save downloads to the SD card by default
2) I ABSOLUTELY want the SD card encrypted
3) These 2 options: set default storage location: SD card, and set SD Card passwords seem mutually exclusive. I can either enable one or the other (or, more plainly, encrypting the SD card makes the set default storage location go away from Memory&storage)
Is there a way to set the default storage location manually (using shell, adb, whatever? Is there any pertinent reason why the default storage location cannot be on an encrypted drive? Will doing this dissolve reality as we know it?
PS. Yes, I'd much rather actually use the SD card as adopted storage, unfortunately I read that:
Warning: File-based encryption cannot currently be used together with adoptable storage. On devices using file-based encryption, new storage media (such as an SD card) must be used as traditional storage.
