O2 Exec Universal wifi registry settings - Networking

Would someone be able to send a screenshot or backup of their registry settings for WIFI. It's under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
COMM
tiacxwln1
parms
An entire registry backup might be nice too. I have very weak wifi and am looking for a solution. There are no answers to this problem on this site.

well, I guess I'm done. No wifi.

Thanks

Install DUN settings?

Is it possible to install / configure gprs settings, or add/remove dial up connections via a script?
I will have my own GPRS Bearer soon which all my devices will connect to, and im trying to make the device re-setup the connections after a hard reset. I would like to put some kind of script in the ROM that will setup the network settings.
Similar thing to the .dun files you can get for windows.
Hope you can help out
thanks.
Don't know about dun but found some cab files here which do what you want.
Can't remember the particular thread and it took alot of searching but they're on here somewhere ( search for "CDL o2 customsiation" and it might help)
Good luck - these simplified things alot for me.
Just done a quick search thru browsers history - heres the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26463
now all i need to know, is how to make a custom one lol

I've got the same problem until I put my pay as you go sim and hard reset the xda2i (please back up your set up first.) GPRS on xda2I in my opinion, works only on contract sim, but you could experiment by selecting pre pay rather than post pay even if you have a contract sim card on gprs settings at final stages of hard reset.
Hello, I feel the English poor man, is a translation of google. I have one qtek s100 and use the following method, proves uses you for your machine.

REG HACK - Turn off GPRS totally (and back to working state) without going to setting

REG HACK - Turn off GPRS totally (and back to working state) without going to settings
1: You need a Registry editor ( eg. Resco Explorer )
2: Find the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\
3: under that , you should see you GPRS settings , for example , mine 's OPTUS GPRS Internet , OPTUS GPRS MMS etc , pick the right one and export it to the *.REG file, and name it to something like " GPRS ON.reg "
4: Modify the setting inside ( for example OPTUS GPRS Internet ) , and change the Enabled value from 1 to 0, then export it to GPRS OFF.reg
use the GPRS ON /OFF .reg to toggle between GPRS always off and on when required.
Happy Registry editing

Backing up internet/mms/email/gps settings

It is a bit annoying to set up "environment" settings each time i clean up registry, so i am searching a way to backup registry settings (i believe those settings are there?). Does someone knows which registry keys apply to those settings?

I am not sure about MMS/gps settings in registry. Definitly Email setups are not stored in registry.
I am using a method where I created a cab file with all my MMS/EMAIL and GPRS setups and included it in my extended ROM.
I published a method to create cab file for email setups sometime back. Search for my posts.
If anyone is intersted I can publish details for GPRS and MMS.
Maybe it's possible to use SettingsSavior:

or sth linke PIMBackup or similar?

Backup of Wifi Settings and Keys

Hi,
i am using a SE Xperia X1 with XKANs WM 6.5 ROM.
I made backups with SPB Backup and installed them after the original ROM Updates from SE with WM 6.1 . I have quite a few WLANs stored in my connections and SPB Backup always restored the whole WIFI settings completely with the WEP or WPA keys.
When I restore the backup i made from WM 6.1 on the new WM 6.5 ROM all the settings and keys for WIFI are fully restored but some things for WM 6.5 wont work (Icons, Background Color, etc.)
Now I wanted only to restore the settings I knew from the old backup. I got the whole things from the old registry (like Keys for Programms and the Today Screens). This works quite good. I found these Keys in the registry where i Think the WIFI stuff is stored.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{9eefcedf-a6bc-4457-a8ae-fb664a196450}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{9eefcedf-a6bc-4457-a8ae-fb664a196450}\SSID]
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Comm\EAPOL\Config]
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Comm\EAPOL\Config\SSID]
When i connect to a new network new entries with the corresponding SSID are created
I found on more entry in the registry where i Think the WEP and WPA Keys are stored
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters\Interfaces\TNETW12511]
There are REG_Binary Items with the name "Static#0000" created when you connect to an new WLAN.
If you have 3 WLANs the last connected WLAN creates an Entry "Static#0002"
If you open the registry with Registry Workshop you see that in the entry the SSID of the WLAN is standing.
But if I import all 3 trees of the registry on the Xperia the SSID dont appear on the available network list. If I connect to a new WLAN all settings in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters\Interfaces\TNETW12511] are gone and one new entry with "Static#0000" is created with the SSID is created.
So I am wondering why SPB Backup is able to restore all the WIFI Settings and manually by registry it doesn´t work. Are there any files or databases I will need to restore or have I forgotten some entry in the registry.
Hope you can help me.
THX
