Hi,
Does anybody have any clue that how can I get rid of annoying T-mobile customization. And is it really safe to do so ?
Thanks
Do the BigStorage and install only Ext ROM apps you like.
Sorry mate, i didnt get that, please easy intructions
Thanks
Here are some links found in the Magician Upgrading forum.

If you don't like to do the BigStorage, the other option is to soft reset your device before the last option to tap screen after a hard reset so that all customizations don't get installed. With this option, the ExtROM is visible and you can select which ones to install.
Do a search and you would find tons of information/instructions.

Either procedure is quite easy but if you're not confident in doing them better don't as you can end up with a brick.

So here is the procedure of getting rid of T-Mobile's customization:
The whole proccess means you will do a hard reset and you will be installing everything from the beggining! So if you don't want that to happen you have to stay with T-Mobile's customization!
Step 1
Hard reset your MDA Compact (power+soft reset). Do all the neccesary steps (choosing your country and timezone) and when you get in the screen that tells you to tap the screen in order to start working have your stylus at the soft-reset hole tap the screen with your finger and do a soft reset IMMMEDIAELY AFTER YOU TAP THE SCREEN!
Furhter steps are to install what you may require. Not necessary.

No idea.
What's the benefit of the regular google? The PDA site is better designed for PDAs.

Gives u "full" google.

flash it with a rom that has it built in?
yeah, but he's asking if someone has extracted from one of the ROMs & has it as a CAB so that he can just install it.
I'd like to give the program a try but I don't want to flash to any cooked ROMs at this point.

I believe that's something to do with sending your contacts via Bluetooth, hence the "BT".
I think it is a bit of a grey area. I have searched and only found it on warez sites etc. so I'm guessing a Cab is not available for free. But it seems it is not classed as warez if it is an oem cooked into a rom. You have 2 choices...flash a rom such as the one in my sig that comes with Worldcard Mobile, or the wrong way.
Just to point out, I do not endorse warez in any way! Make your own choices.
If someone can provide me instructions on how to extract it and make a cab out of it, I will do it
I have it on my unlock HTC TP2.
Anyone has the Original boot splash screen as .nbh??

Does that mean that a "Change Bootsplash Image/animation" tool is in the works ?
It would be great, to really easily flash a new bootimage/animation.

That means the RUU wasn't patched not to. You can patch it so it doesn't and I'm going to try and make a custom bootscreen package.
What's interesting is the format of the image is different to previous ones.

Do you know if these can be customised like for the diamond?

Anyone has the T-Mobile boot splash screen as .nbh?
I wanna change the HTC original boot screen to T-Mobile.
I thought the SSPL would only flash the OS....
Anyway, if you want the T-Mobile splashscreen, flash a T-Mobile ROM ^^

I want the T-Mobile boot splash too. As someone said why don't we flash T-Mobile Rom instead install the T-Mobile boot splash. I flashed T-Mobile Rom once and I got what I wanted. However, the T-Mobie rom has different signal, I am using AT&T here in U.S.A. and I had a hard time to connect ATT 3G. The system kept asking me to edit the connection.
So, anyone who has the Original T-Mobile boot splash or who can make the T-Mobile boot splash as .nbh or .cab please give it to us.....
Thank you for your kindness.
Original T-Mobile Splash TMOUS Stick Together
I have tested it and this is working the splash is here!
Flash as if you would a ROM and all will work!
Be sure to backup data i think it erased my contacts and whatnot.
@xmoo:
there are two bootscreens.
i made black htc bootscreens
see here

Thanks Sam. I just installed one but I still get the annimated tmo get together crap before the newly installed one opens. Do you think its something I'm doing wrong?

i suspect you installed the cab, not flashed the bootscreen, , , , its a multi image process, first the bootscreen, then the roms loading animation, then the welcome screen, and you only need to change the bootscreen, which is an nbh file, the other two parts are cabs.
You need the first part, the HD2 Splash Screen V2.zip from part A
actually, ive just thought, i havent read anything from tmous users flashing splash screens, i doubt theres a difference, but maybe best to hold off, , ,, please be careful!
Cheers Sam!

no problem, ,, is that 'cheers i flashed it and it works', , or 'cheers for the warning i wont bother for now'
cos if you have flashed it, id be interested in confirmation that it works. (Cant see why it wouldnt, but ...)
Hey Sam, it works perfectly. That said, now I need to find a solution to the tmo goodbye annimation when you turn the thing off!

The shut down can be changed by a reg setting like the boot animation by looking here HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation and look for shut down gif
