Remap Keyboard? - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo General

Does anyone know how to remap the keyboard?
Specifically, I would like change the Messaging button to bring up Agenda Fusion.
The closest I could come was "HTC key mapping UI Plug-in" in the registery. However, I could not find much info on it doing a search. There are key mapping discussions, but none seem to be for the Athena.
Many thanks!

Let me know when you get some info. I am highly interested.

Google turned up several exact matchs for "HTC key mapping UI Plug-in" on web sites that were mostly in Chinese.
However, I not able to read the any of the pages. If anyone can translate, please let us know if there is any the relevant information for the Athena.
Thanks

I use pqz to do that Search for "pqz" in google In the first page of the settings of pqz you can assign Ctl to any button you like. Hope i helped
zalaros, thank you for the info, I will definitely check out pqz.
Ideally, I'd like to make that ONE change without installing another program. I was thinking it's probably just a registry change, but I don't know WHAT to change. Does anyone know if it can be that simple?

Remapping CTRL to HW keyboard using AEKmap or any other good solution?

I want to remap the ctrl button to the HW keyboard. I did some searcing on it and found PQzII, but thats not the best solution in my opinion.
Is it possible to map it using AEKmap? I dont know if Im missing something on how it works or what, but I could not get it work with it...
Smarter ones please help...
have not yet managed to do that with AEKmap. Event talked to the programmer. Seems to be a problem with some eT9 files. you can try one of the T9 remover CABs he posts in the AEK FAQ. no luck yet here...something seems to already catch the keyboard input.
We need a real solution for this, its a huge handicap that there is no ctrl button. I have the TP too and I really want this to be fixed on the X1...
We need a fixxxxx.... This is beyond me that TP is the only device with CTRL... Insane...
well i dont think its that important. just use the touchscreen for copy and paste.
Cause I hate to have no CTRL key too, I've just made a remapping for Italian layout (I think it is usable with any layout cause it uses character code, layout independent) who makes you do CTRL+ANY_ALPHABETIC_CHARACTER by typing WIN+ANY_ALPHABETIC_CHARACTER (i.e. CTRL+C by typing WIN+C)
You can do any CTRL+ shortcut, from CTRL+A to CTRL+Z, cause some programs use more shortcuts than others, so I remapped all for any use you like or you need
You need the activated version (commercial one)
You need to type WIN and any key at the same time or type and keep typing WIN before the other key, I say that cause sometimes it seems that the program ignore your typing, train yourself and you'll find the right way to use it
thanks, but it doesnt work on mine
tried it with multikeyhook, still the same.
it just pauses the X1 for a second when i press any WIN+ combo
Just wondering why you think using PQII isn't a good way to map CTRL?
I'm currently using it and having no issues. Its memory footprint is quite small too.

You can scroll through allmost everything just by sliding you finger up and down the screen.
In case you want the zoombar to use as scroll you might find your answer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543742

My idea was to create a keyboard with only the pgup / pgdown functions. The arrows already exist in regular querty keyboards, but if you use the keyboard to scroll, the visible space in the screen will be to small... It is usefull when you have to scrool a big document in a discrete way

I believe there are many different keyboards available for WM6 devices.
Just search the forum or Goole the web.

HD2 Email Keyboard .COM Shortcut

Hi,
Does any one know how to alter the ".COM" key on the email keyboard which has the choices ".COM, .NET, .ORG, .GOV" to include ".CO.UK"?
I am more than happy to just have ".COM & .CO.UK" as my choices.
Hope someone has a solution - I searched through the threads, but found nothing.
Thanks.
Graeme

What are you guys using to map the Back & Home keys?

I've been trying to get these keys mapped to other functions on several different ROMs with AEButtons (performance is bad) and Rhodium Keyboard Controller. I really like the RKC program but for some reason it seems to make the on screen Start menu and Settings menu become unresponsive in 6.5 ROMs (218XX ROMS). I really need to stick to a 218XX 6.5 ROM but I don't want to give up this functionality. Is there another way to map these keys without this program or is there something that I'm missing?
BTW, I'm using a T-Mobile USA version. And I'm mapping the software to a program called Task Switch, which is basically like using Alt + Tab in Windows OS to toggle btwn open programs. It seems to be the Keyboard controller program that's causing the error but I haven't rulled out that it may be Task Switch as well. Anyone else have this problem or other suggestion for mapping keys?
Tarkin keyboard controller is the absolute best.
It allows you to remap any key to many different option, including translations of other languages.
There are some big threads about it.
I am using the Rhodium Keyboard Config app found in this forum...very easy to map ant key.
