what is a SAR??? and is low good?
the SAR is the level of radiation emitted by an electronic device. the smaller the better so we are the lucky ones.
still for me seems that it's TOO low. am I missing something.
Club i-mate confirms the SAR is 0.172
Very good, no fried brains for us then!

It could very well be that the antenna is just well hidden behind other components, thereby being shielded from your head. That may be why it is getting the low SAR value.
It is indeed a good thing. One thing I do wonder about is in what configuration was this measured? Screen on the outside? Screen on the inside closed? Mini-laptop configuration?
I can imagine this making a difference in the measurement.
I am using my new MDA Pro for 2 weeks time now. And I feel that, the gsm/gprs/3G connection is not as strong as the MDA III connection.
On my way to work, i am using the train. With MDA III I am loosing the connection 2 times and on MDA Pro 5-10 times.
I got yesterday a T-Mobile MDA IIi.
Is it possible to take the o2 rom and flash it on the t-mobile device? from that what i have seen here yet it should be the exaclty same device.
is it possible or will my device be destroyed?
T-Mobile MDA IIi is BlueAngel, not Alpine! you'll destroy your device!!

Any one who knows, if you can unlock the MDA Compact III T-Mobile?
Reseller says it can, but he didn't test it.
But on http://www.jictechnology.co.uk the model is not listed...

Hi all,
Firstly, I think this is an excellent phone!
I have the T-Mobile variant (MDA compact 3) but I was gutted today when I found out that T-Mobile de-activated WIFI on it.
Apparently it can be activated ... is there any truth to this? Is there any way to get WIFI working on this phone?
Thanks alot,
