I was wondering if any of you in the community could do me a favour and try something.....
Recetly, my xda 2I has bee having trouble accessing http://www.bebo.com
I use a wireless broadband connection, which works fine, and the site in question hasn't posed any problem,s before... up until about 2 weeks ago.
The problem is i open IE, and search for www.bebo.com and it finds he page, but as soon as it starts loading, IE appears to close.... it opens again without trouble, just back to my homepage.
THe curious thing is this doesn't happen with any other webpages... just wth bebo. and i KNOW the site is working as I can access it on my pc.
Can anyone try accessing the site on their pdas andmaybe tell me if it's just an issue bebo has developed with widows mobile or something...
help appreciated,

My XDA II has worked happily for over a year and I have happily browsed web sites, retrieved my email and done all the things one likes to to do. I connect to the Internet via PIE and EZWAP via GSM on Geniewap ( slow but it is free of charge).
Last week I could get onto the Internet but could not browse websites and yet I could still use a program for instant messaging called Agile Instant Messenger (http://www.agilemobile.com/downloads.html it supports all the major IM protocols.) I did a restore from a backup to a day when I new PIE had worked successfully however, I was still unable to browse websites. I did a hardware reset. Guess what............... I still have the same problem.
If anybody can shed any light on my problem I would be most grateful.
I would like to use mobile.southwest.com. However, it detects that I am visiting with a PPC and redirects me to the main site.
The problem with this is that I often want to check in, and if you do it from the main site but don't print a boarding pass, when you "reprint" a boarding pass at the airport, it reclassifies your boarding group. If you check in with the mobile phone, it remembers that you are boarding class A.
I tried installing opera mini (which, since I use a T-Mobile MDA, required installing a midlet manager) and then going to mobile.southwest.com, but southwest still redirected me to the regular site.
Has anyone figured out how to go to the southwest wap site?
there is a registry setting, so your browser will be detected as a desktop pc,
don't remember the setting you have to search like registry setting for IE6
I need the opposite
The problem is that mobile.southwest.com is detecting my ppc as a desktop pc, and thus assumes I have an attached printer. I want to tell it that I am not a desktop pc.
How to spoof a desktop pc is in the wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweaks_Other&version=70
but I haven't been able to find how to spoof, say, a treo (on which this mobile.southwest.com returns wap content).
Tried them all
I have now tried PIE, Opera mini, Minimo, and Netforce 3.3, and can't reach mobile.southwest.com on any of them -- I'm sent to the main site instead. So clearly it isn't a browser issue but some other settings. Does anyone know how to spoof a wap browser?
The solution to this problem turns out to be to use a WAP browser. The two main ones are Klondike ($23) and winwap ($50). Klondike's trial has a not-very-obnoxious trial reminder periodically but my understanding is that it works indefinitely, which is very nice of them.
I tried the Tweaks2k2 changes and nothing helped with getting mobile southwest to work.
I downloaded Netfront 3.3 and if you allow WAP on the program, the mobile southwest will load correctly.
I called southwest before doing all this and got nowhere.
If anyone has an idea of getting the default browser to work, I would like to know before, I pay for Netfront.

Skweezer.net
Have any of you tried skweezer.net? It's a site that condenses web sites for small screens. I went there on my LAPTOP, entered mobile.southwest.com into the search window, and brought up the mobile version of southwest.com. I surfed the mobile site for a while. I even looked at the mobile pdf schedules page. Southwest.com never detected that I was surfing from a laptop, not a mobile device since I loaded the page through skweezer. I think skweezer might fix both problems.
Works for me

Cool! This works!
Nice Bass Aggie.
Skweezer compressed the web site but it still does not bring up the mobile website.
Any other ideas on how to get it to work on PIE.

I'm using Summiter's last ROM:

and mobile.southwest.com works fine for me.
I'm an avid facebook.com user and often liked to hook up to m.facebook.com using my old Magician. Now I have a Trinity, have set up the wireless correctly etc, but it won't accept my login details. It just returns to the login screen with my details still sat there. I've tried other sites, that don't require logging in and the connection is set up fine. While I accept there could just be a problem with facebook mobile, I don't use any other sites where I have to login with specific details, so can't test this possibility....
Has anyone else experienced any difficulties with ie on this phone?
Opera
Have since installed Opera Mini and it logs in fine... So can only assume internet explorer has an issue with sending data..?
Now to get msn on this thing... Still kinda missing the Magician, but for the wireless LAN...

By any chance have you disabled cookies? That's a very common cause of login problems. I use several sites that require login and they work fine.
Cookies
No, cookies enabled. Tried clearing them too, but still just loads up the same page each time...
Must have been a site issue, as it's all now working fine...
Hi.
I would like to use my HTC Touch HD with the WiFi at school. The only problem is that the WiFi is protected with something called Clean Access Agent. I've got this on my laptop, and it allows me to connect. Is it possible to install this program on a WMO?
Thanks
Hi Bungieman, I have run into this problem as well, and have not yet found any solutions here. I know it is impossible to install CAA on your phone as they do not have a cab for a mobile version. The only thing you can do at this point is contact your IT department. I believe CAA is able to bypass certain MAC addresses, (your phone has a specific one) but the people who install it must change that.
Programs that use Opera, Skyfire, or Safari should work, as CAA has no way to monitor those and lets those through. (That is why everyones Iphone works )
Hope this helps!
So the standard browser, Opera Mobile, should bypass the stupid program? I can't believe so many schools and universities from so many different countries use this program on a regular base. It takes both me and my classmates 15 minutes to start and log on to it. And it keeps bugging up. Yuck.
hell peeps..i wonder if anyone can help with the following prob..
i have an xda mantle running wm6.1 on a t-mobile sim card.
for work out in the field i use internet explorer set up to use gprs to contact my works servers via exchange.
the pda then connects with software called tesseract and i fill out info on pages then submit the filled in pages.
the whole thing works great but on ONE page only i get the error "the page you are looking for cannot be found due to error 0x80072f78"
i then have to refresh the page and try again,,sometimes it takes up to 10 goes before it will progress onto next page of tesseract software.
it only happens on this one page..no others.
have deeply researched this prob here and on google...it always refers to an activesync problem...I DO NOT HAVE THIS PROB....just the prob described above.
i find it hugely irritating and am willing to have babies to whom can help me
