Is there any way you can increase the number of items displayed in the Program Shortcuts part of the app? And is it possible to replace an unused tab with another Program Shortcuts tab?
Failing that, how does one redirect the media player to TCPMP? It doesn't seem to be in the list of installed players...
PS: Yes, I have used cLauncher. I just want to see if the Home Plug can do something like it... and given that rlToday doesn't support multiple pages, it would be nice if the Home Plug can do that.

Is anyone aware of a method for creating shortcuts to specific websites to place either in the Start menu or on the Today screen?
I'm a converted Palm user, & there was a great application for this purpose called Sharklinks...
This can be done with Wisbar Desktop by creating a button on the desktop and making the path your url. This may be a little overkil, but it is the only way I am aware to do this. See this site for information on Wisbar Desktop (it is $10):
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/
if you want to create a shortcut to a url then the easiest way is to save the page in favourites and then use a decent file browser such as resco or gsfinder to create a shortcut to the start menu.
if you then use cLaunch as a today plugin you can also add the url frrom your favourites menu to the today screen. you can even change the icom if you wish to something more memorable - but it needs to be a bitmap.
I've done a pretty thorough search on here and have not found this info yet:
1. I need to find a way to call up the Pocket Office menu (the one with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint shortcuts) from the touch Cube. I tried using the officered.dll but can't work it out. Any Ideas?
2. I would like to toggle wifi on/off from the touch Cube as well. Any ideas to that shortcut?
Thanks
1) Search for touch settings app. This should let you change shortcuts on cube faces. Be weary, if you start to play around with it's other options, i changed the animations of the cube via this app and could not get them to change back.
or
search around the key registry for the cube app side settings and to it manualy yourself.
2) Search for just that, either google or xda, wifitoggle or something. There is a small app that has a shortcut to it too that you can use.
TouchSettings application killed the animation of the Touch Cruise Cube. I'd recommend to generally stay away from it. There's a real thing there about the biotouch version etc...
I found that you just have to link to fexplorer.exe with the path to the folder you want to open in the parameters. This way you can link the touch cube to any folder.
Still looking to toggle wifi...

Click to collapse
That's exactly what I'd like to do but not sure what to enter in path/parameters/whatever. How do I make the tweaks?
Thanks.
Never mind - I figured it out myself somehow (Even a blind squirrel finds the occasional acorn).
I know we can change the order of the tabs on the default windows today screen, but is it fully customizable yet? I want my text tab to take me to sms chat,my music tab to open s2p, and my favorites tab to open up opera or show my opera favorites not internet explorer cause i dont even use that. Is this possible using the registry??
partially possible
you can change the soft keys to whatever you want by editing the registry
here: \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\
like on the clock plugin my soft key is galarm for example
and on the text one you can replace the "compose" with say a link to pocketcm
all you have to do is change two registry entries in the corresponding folder in the registry one for the link text and one for the link to the program or even website which I did to launch custom bookmarks
it's surprisingly customizable
the only one I don't think you can change is the music
but next time you should really ask in Q and A
this isn't the place for questions
please refer to the Q&A section
thank you
Love my HD2, but am wondering if anyone knows of a shortcut to get to call forwarding or an app to turn on and off call forwarding, without having to go through all the screens and toggle?
TY
Andrew
I would like to know this aswell, if anyone out there can help ??
any news on this one? It woul be a very handy app.
If you use Launcher Pro as your launcher then you can open that page with an activity shortcut.
Long-hold the home page to add a shortcut and go:
Shortcuts, Activities, Dialer, Call forwarding
It still takes a few seconds to populate that page, but it has to get the information from your provider every time you start it, so there's nothing you can do about that. It is, however, a shortcut to that page.
If you don't use Launcher Pro then I don't believe you have the ability to add activity shortcuts.
I know its been a while since this was requested. I have just changed my car and the new one has an old factory fitted Motorola startac fitted as a factory option. Rather than mess and fit a new hands free kit I was wanting to forward my HD2 to the Startac.
I have just found the way to do what you require. Firstly use your file explorer (i used resco) to unhide hidden files. Then look in the windows folder on your device and look for CMcallforward. You should then be able to send this to your start menu. Im using Cookies Home tab so I was then able to add this as a quick link.
Hope this helps, cant get much better than a one button option
Hi,
Coming from Windows Mobile and the "Manila" HTC Sense UI there - I miss the menu/shortcut where I had easy access to a selection of shortcuts to create a new sms/e-mail/appointment/task etc.
Is there any app or other way to create sometning similar - for instance as shortcuts on a home screen? I looked a bit at AnyCut, but I can't see how one can create such shortcuts from there...
Part of the problem here, I guess, is that I use quite a mix of software for these assignments (K9mail, Got To Do, HTC Calendar, HTC Messaging etc).
Any inputs are welcome, thanks!
I don't know if this is what you're talking about, but when you press the customize button/ long click on the main homescreen near the bottom of that screen (Above folders) is Shorcut button where you can add shortcuts to the home screen Have a look in there and see if any of those are what you want
I think he wants a group of direct shortcuts to, for example, "compose new message", "add new appointment", etc..
Basically, a "new..." menu.
You could use LauncherPro (or ADWLauncher, I assume) to do it, as long as you're not married to your Sense widgets. Long-press on the desktop, shortcuts -> activities, and experiment from there.
You could bundle all the shortcuts together in a folder on your desktop and call it a day.
I wonder if there's a widget that can do it, though.
catachresistant is on the right track...
You can put shortcuts into folders with sense too....
