Hello to everyone.
It's my first post to the forum so greetings to everybody.
I've been recently writing a program. In that program of mine I need to find out whether there is a phone call beeing made or incoming call waiting for an answer. I've studied posts here that concerned TAPI and I preety much have a vague idea what I should do. I am aware that a posts concerning incoming calls were posted on this forum but unfortunatly in none of them have I found a solution to my problem. Currently I stumbled on lineGetDevCaps() function. I have like 8 devices present in my PPC which information is returned by lineInitializeEx() function. My problem is that I don't know what valuses of LPLINEDEVCAPS structure that is filled by lineGetDevCaps() function identify GSM phone so I could lineOpen() correct device. Could possibly anyone help me in that matter? I test my software on HTC Magician. And sorry for my poor english.
Hello again.
I was able to solve that problem I had before. Now I have another one. It concerns event mechanism that I decided to use initializing TAPI (lineInitializeEx()). I have no problem getting all TAPI messages when I do lineGetMessage() in loop. But when I try to use event mechanism (WaitForSingleObject() placed in a separate thread) the event is raised only when someone is making a call to me not when I make a call from my device. What should I do? Please help me this time.

I wrote an application that can make a data call using TAPI. I used this application in two XDAs. The problem is that when I try to make a call for second XDA, the second one couldn't determine the incoming call and couln't pick the call.
When I changed the software to make a voice call, everything become OK. The software can make a call and also pick it.
Please help me. how can I solve the problem?
I want to transfer some data from one XDA to another. Please introduce me the best method.
Best regards,

i seem to recall that people had the same issues with fax recieving they could send but not recieve
i'm not sure if the post got lost in the great crash
but surely some of the people who posted in it would be likely to have some info about if it's a general issue with the gsm part of the xda
if you are close i suppose you could use bluetooth that is if it was xda2's
Hi,
I am developing a Phone Application on i-mate. I have developed the phone which is fully functional, with all the features. Now I have got a damn big problem. Whenever my Cell/GSM call is active, and if I move from one Access Point to another, the Cell Call gets disconnected. I get the LINE_CALLSTATE_UNKNOWN. I am not able to figure out the exact cause of this. I thought this group might help me so have posted here.
Thanks,
With regards,

Hi all,
just wondering about an issue, that must concern many who have two SIMcards, one for business and one private.
I normally have my private SIM card in the device (TRION), so that when I call friends, they see its me through my caller ID. I have my business SIM card diverted, so calls are transferred to my private number.
The trouble is, I cant see on which card the call is coming in, since I cant allways identify if its a business or private call by the caller ID in my display, cause sometimes I just dont knwo the number or there isnt any. After hours I just dont want to take business calls, but taking out the diversion is to much effort.
Nokia devices have a little arrow that indicates this. Does anyone have a clue for WM5 ??
Greetings
Paddy
I've got excactly the same question. I already thought about connecting a second device with the buisness card to my pc at home and enable/disable the diversion with the help of a webinterface (and call it via start menu).
Anybody outthere, that knows a fix ?
I would be extremly grateful! donateful ;-)

I've the same question .
Hi guys, I have a XDA Mini-s.
I'm wanting to setup call diverting or some method so when a certain number calls it forwards them straight to my answer machine (as if my phone is switched off).
Does anyone know of any programs that do this? Thanks.
MagiCall works good

I haven't tried this, but you might want to...it may be the answer.

I have an HTC branded TyTN and even though the phone is on and the reception shows strong the calls are not getting through. Also when I try to make calls they are droped.
This does not happen all the time but very often. I miss about half of my calls.
Anybody has any ideas?
Need a little more info to help solve your problem.
1. Where are you located.
2. Who is your service Provider
3. Has the phone ever worked right with this provider
4, How long have you had the phone and was it new or used when you got it.
5. Does it still have the same Rom and Radio on it as when you got it.
6. What versions are those.
7. Have you tried a hard reset
Answer these for starters and let's see what we can do to help you out.
I am located in Cyprus and the service provider is cytamobile-vodafone. The phone was purchased from expansys.com.cy
It worked fine for more than a year. Although this particular problem occured very rarely during the first year.
I know of at least one more person who experienced this problem for a short period of time but it was sorted out on its own.
The only update I made to the phone was installing Windows mobile 6 from the official HTC website. The phone worked fine for a few months after the update.
No other update of any rom was made.
I tried a hard reset but it did not help.
OK, and thanks for the response. Based on what you have said, my only other suggestion would be to check your version of radio installed. If you are unfamiliar with how to do that, it appears on the screen at every reboot, or, you can go to settings, device info and it is listed there. I am unfamiliar with service Providers in Cyprus, so I would suggest doing a search of the forums to see if you can find another user with your service provider and a similar phone to see which radio works best for them. If I remember right, the WM6 update from the HTC site, does flash a new radio also, and that may be the problem. If you can't find anything, start a new thread with a title like best radio for cytamobile-vodafone in Cyprus, and hopefully you will only get relevant responses from fellow countrymen.
Does anyone else have any ideas to help this fellow XDAer out? Sorry I couldn't be more help.
thank a lot steve
