HELP ! No Sounds at all,- what happend ???

Hi !
Tomorrow mornin i start my XDAII,- Message is coming" Call your Mailbox"
I called back, hear the Message, and during the call i hear nothing.
Check the XDA- No Sound at all !!!
No Music, no game-sound,- Zero !
What happend ?
Soft-Reset don´t help...
Last Week i install " Check Notification" from scarybearsoft, because after every start i get 7 same messages that a Proggi couldn´t start.
I killed the 7 Entrys and i have my Peace.
But now, i think, that Check Notification (it starts after every Reset or Wakeup) killed my Soundsomethings & that the Reason why i heard the begin of the phonecall and break during it.
Now i have an PPC,-not a Phone... :-(
Who can help me in front of X-Mas ? Who know, how it goes to turn on the Sound ???

PS: It works with the Headphone !

Since you think Check Notification has something to do with, try removing
is startup link from your /Windows/Startup folder then do a soft reset.
Maybe that will bring back your sound.
BTW does your speaker phone work?

Hi!
I am quite sure CheckNotification has nothing to do with your problem. However, the 7 messages sound very strange. My suggestion:
- copy all the files you want to keep to your PC
- do a hard reset (not just a soft reset)
- if it still doesn't work, it's a hardware problem, and you have to send back your XDA II
- re-install the programs you need; copy all saved files back.
- do *not* just make a backup and restore it! It will likely also restore the error!

XDAII is changed
O2 changed the complete thing...
After 8 days of waiting (!) i got a now new device.
In this time i tested the old one and sometimes if gave him a clap, then the sound came back for a minute or more,- also, something is broken.
The Backup give back me the complete old device !
TomTom, Agenda Fusion and so on,- everything works on the new device without new installations !
I´am very happy about it !!!
The only thing: My FullScreen Keyboard 2.0 say:
End of Tryout Time !
Hmm... anyone have a new key for me ;-) ?

Just one thing if it happens again with somebody (there's no any sound from the PocketPc or the phone):
When I had this problem - no sounds from any application - I started thinking :lol: , I got an idea, maybe the headset caused my sounds went off? I wanted to try. I plugged it into its place, and how wonderful, it worked, I was sure when I unplugged the headphone jack, It should be okay. And I had the right. Everything was OK again. So, if there's no sound from any application in your XDA, try to plug and unplug your headset. 8)

Newbie with some questions!

Hi y'all,
since a few days I'm the owner of a Qtek S100. The previous owner bought it a year and a half ago and has never updated anything on it.
The ROM is version1.06. (Radio is version 1.05). I've tried to register on qtek.nl to get the latest updates but you have to enter an IMEI-nr during the registration and since my device is from Belgium as is my IMEI, I can't register!
I see that there are different kinds of ROMs circulating so my question is; Which one do I need/ is the best?
Should I install rom and radio apart or does rom contain also radio?
I've heared about a special rom-pack that also has the big storage hack in it. What about this?
Do I also have to install the camera patch? Where can I find it?
I've also heared about a A2DP bluetooth patch..
The sticky about upgrading is kinda outdated and didn't help me much..

Aside from this I have some other problems I've encountered. I don't know if they'll be fixed after I update the ROM but here they are;
- how do I lock the buttons/screen? The only thing that seems to work but isn't very convenient is to enable a the password in the settings and check the box next to "prompt if device is unused 1 minute". No plain button/screen lock?
- If the device is on stand-by I don't get any notification that I've received an sms. Only when I disable the stand-by by pushing the power button then I get it. But this could be like half an hour after I've received a message.
- if someone calls me and I end the call, how can I save his/her number to my phonebook?
- If I take of the batterycover the device shuts down. Is this supposed to happen?
-How do you completely shut the device down? If I press and hold the powerbutton (like described in the manual) the backlight dims, if I press it shortly it goes on stand-by.. but how do I turn the device of (without taking of the battery-cover..)
- Is it normal that when my battery is low (10-15%) the bluetooth doesn't work?
- Which 4GB SD-cards are known to work 100% with the Qtek S100?
- I've noticed that the battery is kinda weak/worn out? Where can I find a replacement with a higher capacity?
Maybe I should also say that this is the first time I work with Windows Mobile so don't be too harsh on me

Okay, I'll make a start with what I know off the top of my head but would recommend a bit of reading here and on MoDaCo.com as all the answers not too difficult to find.
I'm using iMate 1.12 ROM which is the best from that source. I've not tried any other operator/manufacturer versions so can't comment. The radio version will be included and the camera patch is not needed with the latest updates. A2DP patch is here :

I recommend pocketMax's screenGuard and phoneAlarm for locking & notifications respectively :

With the Dialpad on the screen, go to Call History. Press and hold on the number you want to save, first option is Save To Contacts.
Pocket PCs until very recently were designed to never be completely shut down. This is why we have a backup battery. Make sure that you pull the little rubber lug away from the battery before you remove it as you can initiate a hard reset otherwise. This is in the manual.
Bluetooth can be a battery-drainer so I'm not surprised it won't work with that level of juice. I'd try and avoid letting the battery level get that low if possible as the backup only lasts for about 20 minutes. After that you will lose all your data etc.
I use a MobyMemory own-brand 4GB mini-SD in an adaptor. I have had a couple of problems with it but generally it works fine. Today screen plugins installed on the card can be slow to load.

Instructions for rom Upgrade...

Having problem with no sound during call on my XDA2i. I have full system sounds, WMP is working, tones are working and key tones are fine. but when the phone rings and I answer there is no audio and the 2nd party can't hear either. Also the speakerphone doesn't activate, but sound works FINE through wired headset and Bluetooth. I've tried the audio jack, with raking it with the 2.5 mm jack to no avail
I want to try to upgrade my ROM as I have found this worked for someone who suffered from NO sound at all on their device. I downloaded Deathnoise 1.11.171 ROM but want to know HOW to perform the operation.
1) do I need a PC application to 'flash' or install this rom?>
2) can i use USB or do I need serial cable>?
If anyone could just give me a quick list of what I need to do this i'd greatly appreciate it, i just have zero experience with ROM flashing and upgrading.

hi bane, i recently flashed my friend's xda2i. this is what i did.
1.) put the xda2i device in its cradle to sychronize in windows desktop pc
2.) run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, follow the window prompts
3.) you will notice that your xda2i will switch to bootloader mode and the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe will stop and give you error message.
4.) re-run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe again, this time your device flashing will be successful.
please note that do not attempt to flash your device using windows vista.

I see, thank you for the info. so when the device is flashed, im guessing its a hollow shell ready to install the new rom...how does that work? i've unzipped the deathfire rom pack, but see no cab file. does the rom install from an exe on the pc?

Hey, just incase anyone is reading this thread....The rom upgrade worked fine... but it didn't resolve any problems regarding the no sound in call.
HOWEVER, to support the only real info i've found in the forum about this problem, the sound problem rectified itself.... however, it's only been one day. i am not sure how long it shall last, as the last time I took the XDA apart and put my friends 'phone' circuit board in which suffered the same problem weeks prior and it WORKED, but only for two days.
I'll keep you posted ...

hi, I've been having the same problem, but only when it is on charge. put the phone on charge, try to use it and nothing through the phone, only wired and bluetooth headsets work. disconnect from power, same problem on first try, then after that all ok.
Just wondering if it is an issue with the power or power block.

I cut both loop wires that go from pin 2, to pins 5 & 18 (on mine, the only two that looped back) and everything worked fine after that.

The problem is tha there is a mechanical switch that disables your pda's speaker when you plug in the handsfree
This switch gets stuck! A light bump to the pda might correct this, but might also do other damage! OWN RISK!!!
Plugging an removing the handsfree might also let it come unstuck . . .

yup tried that b4. plug in my handsfree and quicky give it a quick tug. still the same though.

use a trial of : RESCO EXPLORER

files name changed. problem still persist. still no sound.

Go to electronic shop and ask for spray of "contact renew "
Take the battery out
See if the spray attacks the plastic or paint at a hidden corner on the device then if ok
Spry just a bit in the hole of the plug
If you can only have drops of it into the hole then play with the headset plug
Let it stay for 5-6 min then insert battery and have a look into it
If it did not help repet the process of spry &play but do not have lots of liquid in one time it may cause a short circuit

ps - you can consult with the store (can not remember the name but in the us i think like "radio shek" or something)
undo the file games by hr your device
For the next time (god forbidden) to be on the safe side that it is the switch just go to your headset settings on start/settings/sys
If you can enter the settings and do not have a note that your headset mast be plugged in first -then it is that switch
If you get that note you must search for a 3part app like profile or speaker failure

please any suggestions i searched alot but it didn't work ,in some devices there is a file located in system/bin named lpm but it doesn't exist in cm13 rom system files and i don't know what is its alternative in cm 13 by editing its lines you can do that,any idea ?

Don't know CM13 well enough I'm afraid.
Almost certain there'll be a system file edit to do it but without research I don't know.
Maybe another avenue to research would be this sort of thing:

thanks so much for reply, i had already seen this video and i wanna do this for the same purpose i wanna use my phone as integrated music player and navigator for my car,but unfortunately i installed sdk tools and adb drivers but fast boot command (fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0) didnt work with my lenovo a6000 in other hands the file called (lpm or playlpm or chargemon) doesn't exist in cm13 to edit it and i don't know what its alternative here
so the only thing i'm seeking to is to turn the phone on when plugged into the charger so as to work with the car
no matter which rom ,if there is a rom having a certain file i can edit to do this it will be perfect

What about the Wakey App?
It can be set to wake the device on charge and can also be set to stop the device sleeping and turning the screen off. I use it with Netflix casting otherwise the casting can get shut off when sleep starts.

Haha well it depends what you mean by "switched on when it is turned off".
If you mean the screen is off and you want it to come on when plugged in then it can do that, it has the option "Charge Wake"
... but if you mean it is completely off then no it can't do that.

Exactly thats what i mean to wake the phone when its totally switched off by plugging it to the charger :laugh:
So we will return back to the first option sdk tools or editing system file to replace battery charge animation (when phone is off) by turning the phone on, you told me that through cm 13 rom we have no idea which system file would help,so if i changed the rom with another one may it help?

No and googling around suggests the cyanogen file name is not known. Maybe it's still the same in Lineage OS... might be worth asking there.
Don't suppose you have the kpoc file mentioned here:https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26294258/auto-boot-when-wall-charger-is-plugged
If all else fails and this is a permanent in car fixture, I guess you could look at a hard wired dash switch or relay start button replacement.

Yes it will be a permanent car fixture but i see that doing it by editing system files is much easier than the other ways (wired switch or relay start button replacement) so ill try again but with different rom and searching for the mentioned system files and i hope to work with me, thanks alot for your time and support mike :good:
