I am trying to get a rom installed that other posters who are having the same problem I am (applications and ring tones not showing up) seem to suggest that the CID is not unlocked. I downgraded my ROM and noticed on start up that the IPL is not at ver 1.01 but the SPL is at 2.26. What do these mean? How are they upgraded? is this relevant to the issue I am having? thanks
can't downgrade from SPL 2.26?
I am now at IPL 2.24, and SPL 2.26 - have I read correctly that i can't go back on the SPL to something previous? someone? Bueller?
Your IPL/SPL has ALWAYS to be the same version. Otherwise you can get problems with your device, it could get highly instable.
You can try to flash my Molski.Biz Rom, then you're IPL and SPL should both be 2.26

that worked fine. I just don't know what i need to do to get RUU_RIsidoro_2.26.10.2_WWE+CF2SP1_G3 rom to work correctly.

A friend of mine has a Wizzard from Orange NL. His IPL/SPL are 1.3 right now and he want to update his ROM but he said he can't because he needs those to be 2.xxxx. I've only been messing around with my HTC BlueAngel and i've never come across IPL/SPL.
Can somebody explain to me what it is and how you upgrade it, or even if you want to upgrade it. Is this something you have to do before you flash the ROM or do you just need a certain ROM to be able to upgrade from a 1.3 IPL/SPL?!

I try it 2 times (USPL tool ver 0.01). everything going well after 100% booting everything ok. but after new start you I see

IPL dont want to change ? What i must be do ? or changed i didnt understood.
How i can be understand 100% with garantie?

hi, till today i had the same problem.
try to downgrade to an original rom with wm5 and then to flash spl and rom... this was my solution to get the bird in the cage
Question.
I have a g4 device. i did the unlock via imei and it should be sim and cid unlocked.
it was originally cingular 2.25.00001 spl ipl. i was able to upgrade without problem to the
tmobile 2.26.00001 ipl spl
my question is can i or should i try upgrading to the 3.08 ipl spl?
No you can't, at least not with the version that can be found on here. It doesn't contain a G4 IPL/SPL version. As far as I can tell, 3.08 doesn't have that big of an advantage over 2.26 anyway.

How did you get IPL 1.01 and SPL 2.26 at the first place,where you trying to downgrade/upgrade ? or flashed button's rom 1,05 or t-mobile 2.28 ? now you're stuck at bootloaders (multicolor screen).Be more specific .
Anyway,you can download the official O2 minis stock rom from here.

How can i get to normal? and is there any way to up to WM6?

Hmmmm,ok,so you flashed button's rom to downgrade to use lokiwiz02b to SIM/CID unlock the phone,ok,don't worry,its usually seen that it sometimes happen that after flashing button's rom 1.05,ipl gets down to 1.xx but spl stucks at 2.xx,it sometimes, to make both ipl/spl 1.xx,flash button's rom a couple of times more to make both ipl/spl equal. So flash the button's for a couple of more times,if it gets equal,fine,otherwise,you can flash xda_minis_launch rom,when both are equal to 1.xx use lokiwiz02b to SIM/CID unlock the phone. Read the 'Definitive guide' for unlocking by Dr.Puttingham.

i flash a rom on my magician,and now stuck in bootscreen.
i think is wrong g3 or g4.
now my info is:

SPL 3.08.0000
GSM 02.69.21
OS 3.8.2.21
the IPL and the SPL is allways the same after i flash any rom.
how can i fix this.
