Hi guys,
just noticed a problem when I use my desktop to sync windows media player playlists with my jam. When I sync 3 playlists across it copies all of the music files to the storage card, but not the actual lists themselves which means I have to reconstruct the playlists on my device or listen to all 3 sets of music together in a jumble.
Any idea where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

Good question.
I can create playlists on my PDA but I can't save them. Once I close the program, they're gone.
Hi...I'm facing one problem with TouchFlo music player....Suppose I have some music files of different artists and offcourse different albums in one folder in my laptop, and I copy them to my storage card. Now when I look those files in library of touchflo music player, they are not shown in one folder...either they are shown in different artists tab or in different albums tab....but there is nothing like folder tab...so if I want to listen to all of them one by one, I do not have any choice. Also its very hard to add them in one playlist as my folder has too many songs...
I tried to search in this forum, but could not get any related thread...can you guys help me out of this problem...
Hey guys...
Any inputs on my query!!
There is a Songs tab which has all the songs that it found. As for using your folders, that's the old way to do things. It's all about organizing music now, with genre, artists, and what not.
Gotta keep them organized At least that's what I know. Or install a 3rd party app TCMP? that might help you out.
I always used to synchronize my music with WMP and now that I've got a Hero (my previous one was HTC S730), it doesn't work anymore. WMP Says:
Your device requires that this file be converted in order to play on the device. However, the device either does not support playing audio, or Windows Media Player cannot convert the file to an audio format that is supported by the device.
Any thoughts?
My entire music collection has two things which don't work on the hero:
1. Album art is WMP format (separate .jpg files for each album)
2. Artist: Artist/Featured artist/Featured artist 2 Album Artist: Artist
Every artist/featured artist combination is handled as a separate artist, while WMP mobile did a good job!
I'll have to bump..
I forgot to mention that it handles genres wrong way too. Some songs have a few genres assigned to them, example:
Pop; Pop Rock
WMP assigns that song to both genres, "Pop" and "Pop Eock", while Android player just makes a genre called "Pop; Rock".
Maybe there are some good 3rd party players on the Market (so far I couldn't find one).
Okay, I have got a solution y'all!
You don't have to ruine your library just to make it compatible with Android..
Search for a program called "MediaMonkey". Free edition DOES NOT do the job, but you can easily find a free-ed version (it's called "Gold"). I'm using version 3.1.1 Gold, which at the moment latest.
I still prefer using WMP for listening to music and I only use MediaMonkey for all the dirty job!
Just take a peek at this screenshot! It cures bad Android player, though you loose some of the data on the device - additional genres and featured artists.

what is the folder structure under which you put the music. It should look something like this:
\Storage Card\Music\Offspring - Americana
\Storage Card\Music\Offspring - The Offspring
\Storage Card\Music\Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
A folder for each album under a general "Music" folder...
MUSIC
I just made a folder in my Storage Card and called it "Music" obviously without the quotes and used a Micro sd Adapter and put the card reader thingy into my laptop like a usb and transfered over my music. I have a bout 5GB of music and when i when to the music tab it said searching and found all my songs.!?
I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, (please be more specific if this isn't what you're talking about).
When you select a song to play, how are you selecting it?
If you go to Artists or Albums, it will only play the songs under the respective artist or album.
If you go to Library>All Songs and then press on a song, it should then play all songs. Is this what you're doing? What happens when you do this?
Do any of your music players freeze?
I have had it freezing once I loaded about 4gb of music onto it.
Storage Card\Music\*.*
I know just what he means. In the music tab you get the album view which is pretty useless/cumbersome, so, instead of playing music from there, he's going into "Library" and then possibly Artists>Album>SongName. Problem is, when you do that, HTC's music player creates a new (temporary) playlist with only that one song, so, if you want to skip to another song, you have to go back to Artists>Album>etc...
With HTC's player, you HAVE to create playlists to get the most out of it (or just stick with the default "All Songs" playlist (painful if you have over 1,000 songs because, again, of the lame UI for the music player)) and just switch playlists as you go.
Is there any way to get the HTC media player sort the albums in landscape mode to Artist then album like how its sorted in an ipod touch or iphone?

When i uploaded 6 gb of music all in different folders, the player showed it to me all in one giant list, is this going to fix the problem, or do i have to do something else?

The player can show it to you listed by album, artist, genre, or composer...just use the slider when in "library" view. However, this is dependent on the ID3 tags on your music files being filled in correctly...
Is there a way to create ID3 tags for all my music based on folders?
I don't care about the albums as long as i can have folders and not a one giant list of mp3's

Hey im having real issues getting ANY music to play, it is in .mp3 format but my HD2 just wont play it?
Can anyone help?
hello 2 everyone
i try 2 sync a playlisy 2 HD2 and to have the same playlist i hear on my pc
in the same order of the songs is it possible??
so i dont know if its something im doing wrong or what.
thx in advance Guynovo.
This is also my problem.
I have dozens of directories of songs copied to the HD2 in the music tab. They where played in order of artists, albums, styles or whatever. But not in the original directory order.
This is a problem if you like to play some personal top10 songs etc.
I'd not like to change the ID3-tags in my songs so they all have identical album names or so.
