I was about to get mad when i saw the new diamand forum and i thought we were still boned.. but then i saw juno and was happy again.

T-Mobile Shadow is T-Mobile US...T-Mobile MDA Compact IV will more than likely only be T-Mobile Europe.

From what Ive read, The diamond aka T mobile mda compact IV will be realesed to the US in the 2nd half of 08
The shadow is a non touchscreen. It would be retarded for the shadow 2 to be touchscreen.

Yes, but from what I hear, the diamond aka T-Mobile MDA Compact IV will be released on Sprint w/a CDMA version, and not on any GSM carriers. That being said, I did see a photo of the Shadow II floating around hear and on egadnet. They look similar, but not the same...
I would be nice to move over the old posts from the general smartphone session.
I find this forum very stressful for a number of reasons.
The main one would be the complete and utter mess of threads related to the streak.
Can I please request that mods have a naming system? E.G [UK] [02 2.1] infront of threads relating to UK streaks.
I just want to find out about other users with the 02 dell streak but the forum is littered with users with different versions of the OS.
please organise this mess a bit better.

Well Most other sub forums on this forum go by those rules.
Its not the fact of searching and knowing what I'm looking for.
Its coming into the forum after a few days to find loads of new threads about ROM's etc with loads of posts. Having to sift through all that to just find out what it relates to is a drag.
If a post said "[UK 02 2.2 yaddy daddy da]" I'd quite happily click that and read away.
where as if it says "2.2 dum diddly dee" I have to read several pages of text just to come to the conclusion it was a waste of my UK 02 dell streak owning time.

I am open to suggestions and ideas on how to improve the Forum, Infarct i will add a Sticky Thread so you can put ideas down on how to improve the Forum
But i do not think Because a Post about 2.2 not saying it is about 02 or not is NOT a Valid Reason to call the forum A Complete And Utter Mess .

It is difficult to sieve through most threads now. I can't believe there's such a difference between uk & us models! Most instructions vary for each so I agree that having a clear divider would life much easier for both new comers & regulars
if people stopped making so much mess then the place would look a lot neater!

I think we need a seperate forum for the 10.1v to avoid confusion.

I feel that will be a great help. The devices are different enough.
I would say YES, but only if 10.1 (new) comes with Exynos inside. If not it will be the same device just with different i/o ports.

Fair enough. I think at the least, this forum should be renamed to 10.1v until further information is available.
It's also likely to get flooded with chatter about ordering, shipping etc getting closer to the 10.1 (no V) release date.
I think so..... I've seen tons of new people in this forum, flooding it with questions about the 10.1V. It's slightly annoying.

Point taken but I don't think you can blame people for posting about one version or the other. Until each version has it's own forum, this will be treated as a 'general' 10.1 forum and there is bound to be confusion / frustration.
But if the only major difference between the 2 will be thickness there is no need for 2 forums. Is there?
Nobody knows what's inside the 10.1. I doubt whether they will be similar enough to share ROMs.
The problem is that the 10.1v will be out next week and in the absence of a dedicated 'v' forum, this one is likely to get hijacked.

It already appears there will be many more differences than just thickness. Though I guess devices like the Magic (Sapphire) with the 32a and 32b versions were kept in the same forum. Also seems like the two versions may share accessories as well, so that further confuses things.
I can't imagine they will share the same cases though.
There really does seem to be a lot of confusion and threads getting hijacked right now (take a look at Galaxy Tab 10.1v 32GB thread to see how far off topic it can get and how much confusion there is).

So far non of which influences software. For me, major difference is SOC which at this point is not verified.
But if both devices will be a Tagra2 tablet than all the same applies to both of them - software and "tricks" wise.

svetius created us a seperate sub-forum for ROM development. That should be sufficient, at least for now since its the only forum where it REALLY matters. If you're creating new threads, its probably worth putting 10.1v or 10.1 in the thread title. Mind you, the latter might still attract posts about 10.1v as it is more generic

I think we need to revisit this. There are too many people posting the wrong thing in the wronf forum. This has already led to a few soft-bricks
Why are we not allowed a vs thread (eg; this one just closed....S4 leaks just in) yet in the XZ forum they can have a XZ vs....thread that goes on forever?
Forgive me if i am being dumb and their mods are slacker than the ones here. Just wondered like.

The mods have approved that one for some odd reason. Odd though. I thought it was going to be a good thread where the comparisons could be made since its going to be impendingly announced.

Exactly my point.....just trying to clarify the difference between the 2, do we have better/stricter mods on here than on the other? could have been an interesting thread.
No matter, i won't lose sleep over it.
I have no idea what i have just written as i have just been smashing away at my keyboard and letters keep appearing on my screen.
I only know what has been said on here as well because my wife told me as i can't read for the life of me either.
I look forward to waking up with a hangover tomorrow so i can carry on my life grunting and smelling things so i know what i'm doing and where i am.

Im from the old school xda, and I jump on every now and again.
I understand a lot of material is posted all the time, I don't know what it is like for moderators, but the Tmobile Note 3 forum was pretty jacked up. Yes there is a search button and yes people post and reply to old threads and bring them back to the front, but it was very annoying looking for roms or anything in that forum.
With that said I believe that the Note 4 will be around for a while and it would be nice if the forum was tidier! With that said it isn't just up to the moderator, we also have to play our part and not make stupid post like this one. :silly:
On another note just got my phone and I'm not too impressed. wish my Note 3 didn't break.

Give your new phone a chance. I wasn't too impressed either when I first got mine but the small changes they've made start to add up for a better overall experience.

Like stated above, give the phone a chance! I know the note 3 was a great phone and you were probably expecting some kapowee of blazing amazements. But I can assure you the small updates added, will make you feel you have a better note 3, the additions (and subtractions) make for a better overall note 3 experience.
But yes, I will have to agree. The S4 forum was a mess! Or became one I should say, the Note 3 forum..was simply jacked up and I see the note 4 will soon lead to that direction sadly (but I hope not). I'm seeing threads in places they shouldn't be but hey...lol we don't really have a lot of roms and mods right now so its not as annoying
XDA has changed period. Everyone is short tempered. A lot of guys kanging other guys stuff and it just sad. The phone is amazing. Trust me give it a shot and you will see.

I don't see what you mean, Roms are in development and have been, there are q&a threads for certain roms outside of the development forum..........I saw the same in the note 3 forum....Not sure what your referring to.......yeah sure people create threads that have already been started, but that didn't sound like what your complaint focused on....I'd like an example of a n3 rom not in the development section for T-Mobile??
Yes roms are where they belong. All im saying is let's keep it neat. Update the roms and kernel tabs at the bottom.
