I have the Black Satin WM6 rom installed on an AT&T/Cingular 8525. My question is that when a call comes in and I answer by pressing the talk button on my 8525, it goes thru on the phone rather than the bluetooth headset. In order for it to go thru on my Plantronics bluetooth headset, I have to press the button on my headset to accept the call. Is there a way to accept the call by hitting the talk key on the phone and have the call be automatically routed to my headset when I am paired. Now, I have to go to the right softkey and select the option to use the bluetooth headset if I forget and accidentally accept the call by pushing the phone button rather than the headset button.
Thanks in advance for the help!

i too have this problem.. with other hadsets that i had too had this problem ... i was begining to think that it was my headset,,....

i have an HTC wizard with WM5 and i am using a plantronic bluetooth headset that works great except that when i press the button on the headset i cannot make the phone activate the windows built in voice dialing. The button works fine to comnad the phone to hang up ans answer a call. does anyone know ho to have the bluetooth headset button activate the builting voice dialing ?
Hold that same button in that you use to answer/hang up until you hear a beep. Then you will see your phone switch to the voice dialing screen and you will hear one more beep. After that just speak the command you want to execute and the system will re-play the command back to you if it recognizes it. Works great on my 640!
Hi All: I have paired the headset fine with my phone and made calls before but I can not switch a call from the handset to the headset while a call is already in progress. Once I end the call, I can pair the headset fine to make a NEW call but I'm having problems switching the call when it is already in progress. I can go to the phone and manually switch it to hands free but I thought that if I powered on the headset while a call was already in progress, that would route the conversation from the handset to the headset. Is that correct or can it not do this without some tweaking? Thanks.
I have the same setup and I can answer the call on the phone, then "open" the H700 and the phone re-directs the call thru the headset within about 2 seconds from opening the headset.
If I'm on the headset, I can press and hold the call button on the H700 and the call goes on hold. I can "close" the headset and then un-hold the phone using the touch screen and resume the call on the 8525.
Now I believe that the standard bluetooth stack is crap, and I have had many instances where the phone just stops linking the Bluetooth. I can usually restore the link just by using the comm manager to turn off the bluetooth radio, then turning it back On. I have even done this during a call and it worked.
I have always had solid, loud audio with the H700, BUT, several callers have mentioned that my voice was often clipping a word every few seconds. I don't know what that's all about.
Do you know whether you need to select any special settings or do anything special in the pairing setup with the phone or headset? I do not know how to have the conversation directed to the headset after turning it on when I am already on the call. It works fine to start a new call or to answer a call directly through the headset but can't join a call in progress. Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.
OK I just bought the most expensive bluetooh headset man can find the Jabra JX-10 hoping that I will not have the same problems I have had with all other plantronics and other head sets.
The headset paired and (I guess its connected, there is no indication on the screen)
Here is the problem:
When I make a call, I see the headset logo on the dialer screen. The voice however comes from the phone, not the headset. Then I have to I push the CALL button on the headset to TRANSFER the call. (If my timing is not perfect and I push the button "before" the call is actually CONNECTED and there is someone talking, the phone will simply HANG UP.
Can the phone just send the calls to the headset at all times (unless I am in my car that has bluetooth?)
THANKS FOR ALL THE POSTS!!
I uninstalled touchflo and un-paired and re-paired the headset and it is working properly now.
love this phone but don't know if i have a problem or i'm just using it wrong and i'm an idiot,
i use an o2 blue hands free bluetooth and when i get an incoming call it rings nicely in my ear and i press button on the o2 blue and answer the call and it all works beautifully.
however if i'm making the call, i dial the number on the phone press green phone button and the bluetooth doesn't kick in the call stays on the phone.
(you don't press anything on the bluetooth as it don't work that way)
is this a bug or is there a specific way to make a call on the handset so the bluetooth kicks in??
(apologises in advance if i'm missing the blindingly obvious)
Hi, Scottydog -- I've been using the P6500 with a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 815) without any problems. Though to the extent that things don't work properly, I have the opposite problem: when I _make_ calls with the headset connected, all is fine; but when I _receive_ them, calls initially go to the handset and I then have to choose "Turn Hands-free On" from the right soft-key menu to get the call on my headset.
Have you tried doing this after you dial calls?
Wish I had something better to suggest!
Alan
I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro headset. I've used this with my previous phone, a BB 8900. When the headset is on, it connects to the MT4G and if I make a call, it will automatically use the headset. However, if the headset is on and I recieve a call, a menu opens on the phone and askes where to send the audio. I'd like to set it so that it always chooses the headset if it's on. That's how the 8900 used to work.
Right now, once I answer the call, there's a pause while I select the Voyager Pro out of the menu. Does anyone know how to set this?
Thanks,
Dave
l've found that if you depress the headset button instead of touching the screen during the ring, your phone will answer and use the BT headset without the prompt.
If you touch the screen first, you're screwed.
Hey, thanks! I didn't even think of that. I'll give it a try. I was used to my BB automatically connecting to the BT if it was on. You get a big "Thanks" button for that one.
